Love saves the Day Love saves the Day 4 hours ago I woke up this morning and just had this song in my mind biked into work at 4:00 singing it as loud as possible it’s a mantra to me now
Been listening to this on repeat while smashing out an assignment last minute (deadline is in 7 hours haha), I'll get there but in the meantime, this tune is really keeping me going, thanks for posting it!
Hello me from 7 years ago, I managed to smash that assignment out and went on to get 2 degrees, it was all worth it in the end, living my life now! Shout out to everyone else going through school/college/university, keep up the hard work 😁
Chris Hillman was a bass player with Steve Stills Manasas…John Martin was a huge talent lost to coke and booze Annie Lenox is a fearless torch bearer-.In dark moments her light and inspiration shines through Not too many Annies about in the Music scene.
This is the first version I ever heard , had this(if I am correct) on tape single that I played continuously in my XR2i. Great track ....not great choice in car.
Like Beth Orton so I like her version, but I love John Martyn and think the original is better. Still, glad she did this cover. However I must say, this is the one that would get me out on the dance floor...the original - not so much. The original tears me up inside...this one - not so much. ❤☮🌎
what is missing here, is the space between your thumb and forefinger: it increases exponentially with every degree of fever. you oscillate between waking and sleeping, but no degree of cognition can help you define the moment when knowledge becomes aware of the difference between the moral, and the amoral.
This sucks big time. Totally flat. There is no feeling in it. The original song is untouchable. It takes a lot more to play John Martyn. The guy was the best imho.
This album is a masterpiece and should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Her voice alone, is timeless....And the lyrics are so raw to life

Just for info, song written by late, great, John Martyn, from album Solid Air. Nice to hear a cover by a high quality artist.
Ahh, cool. I thought it was Dr John's, but turns out he'd covered it too. Cheers
En que año fue escrita esta canción.

XR2i's were great they went like shit off a shovel
I never liked Madonna's Ray of Light, but I always loved William Orbit's work with Beth Orton.

Richie Havens does a nice version. This has some neat word phrasing
