The part about not listening to the internet really speaks to me as a service dog handler. There are a lot of people who will tell you that there is only one way to do things "correctly", but every animal is different and needs different things! I'm glad you found something that works for your kitties
Cat nerd here! 🤓 Cats are crepuscular, which means they're more active during dusk and dawn. It's due to the fact that cats pretty much all come from very hot countries, so dusk and dawn were the coolest time of the day to hunt. It's also why their eyes are the way they are. I wouldn't worry about the fighting too much, unless it gets aggressive, Linguo is just probably telling him who's boss. 😂😂
Absolutely that's why we scheduled play time with our kitties at that time then fed them just before bed (and first thing in the morning before work). They also slept more at night after that.
One of my cats is also incredibly vocal and will walk around meowing around the apartment. A lot of the time all she wants is to know where I am so I'll call her, she'll run over to see I'm where I called from, then will calm down and go about her business.
@@ExtraRoly Definitely get how that would be frustrating sometimes, and my girl will occasionally do that as well. Just glad that most of the time she'll relax once she knows where I am!
Calm and firm verbal corrections are good, I don't understand why so many people think you should never be stern with your cat.. I'm glad you went with your feeling there Roly! You seem to be doing awesomely imo ❤
Every cat is an individual, and while general advice can be helpful, it's mostly about learning what works for your cat's personality - like you've done! Some cats are just really talkative, my friend's cat SCREAMS constantly just because that's who he is. My soul cat Layney was a chatterbox, she talked so much I'd get upset with her at first, but I got used to it as time went on and now I miss her unrelenting meows (she passed away in 2021).
The good thing is: cats are very adaptable. My cat is 12 years old, she recently and unintentionally learned the "super cute whispery meow" to get what she wants. And just like you said - every few months they'll try doing the stuff they're not allowed JUST IN CASE. For me this helped a lot: ignore unwanted behaviour but make sure they know what they're not allowed (stretching the sofa) worth clapping, codewords or the dad-voice - of course something uninvasive that the cat doesn't like. Screaming in the hallway mostly is for attention - so making a lot of unintentional trips to the fridge or whatever while ignoring the cat helped for me. Spoiling them for wanted behaviour (less screaming and such 😅) is also key, ether with food (have you tried tuna?), cuddles or something to play. Long story short: uninvasive conditioning, also time and building trust. From afar your two babies look perfectly happy together ❤❤❤ Lots of love!
My Void floofer does that too. She just walks around the house keeping to the shadows just yelling. ALL THE TIME. We just go "Luna" back every time in the same tone. It becomes a meow/Luna fight until one of us just gives up
I can relate to having had those "Oh sh*t, what have I done?" moment as a new pet owner. I've had my cat for almost five years now, and love him dearly. I think it's quite humane to feel all kinds of emotions when adjusting to such a big change in one's life.
My first two cats have been together for going on 10 years. They still do not like each other. The hiss when they pass each other in the hallway. So, you are quite fortunate they your cats get along. End of 2023, we acquired a Lab puppy (8 weeks old). September was the 3rd cat, an 8 week old kitten that came from a bad situation. He is orange. Vocal! He will look at me and just scream. 🤣 He plays fetch extremely well. Plus, he became fast friends with the Lab. They are young enough to grow up together. The Small Terror is nothing like my Girls. He is chaos and mischief in a ball of fur. I did have a moment or two with both the Beast and the Tiny Terror when I regretted my decisions. It’s an adjustment,; but well worth it.
Sorry, I'm commenting so much, but yeah, it's really good that they're getting along so well and as long as they're not taking their claws out, that's fine and even if they do every once in a while, it's probably a learning thing, because Lindo is older and she is gonna show globex. What he can actually get away with.
If you want to protect your furniture, but also not go through the barbaric process (that should be illegal, maybe it is there) of declawing, you can use the Soft Paws products. They're little silicone caps that you glue onto his claws. They're adorable and they shed naturally when the claw sheds it outer layer. You can mix and max colors, do holiday themes, etc. They're a fantastic way to product your furniture and give him a bit of bling too. Note: I am not affiliated with Soft Paws, I just like their product and have had great success with it.
I se on using soft paws for cats and dogs our Great Dane wears them and it helps prevent slipping on tile floors Declawing is thankfully illegal in the UK wish it was everywhere
I'm in Australia and never even heard of declawing until my cousin in Canada got a car which had already been declawed. Poor thing ended up with weird fur overgrowth on her paws and would have to bite when she wanted to scratch.
Can‘t believe such a thing as declawing even exists. Another thing which I hate humans for. When they fail, animals have to suffer. And even the silicone caps seem like nonsense to me, won‘t they simply bite it off? They must feel and see them as annoying, don‘t they? Provide enough scratching material and play with your cat, that‘ll help for the most part and most of the behavioral issues.
I’m all for talking to and letting my 3 cats know what’s happening. I explain when I’m going out and approximately how long I’ll be gone. They have their favourite places to sleep and making sure that they all have their own space. For me communication is key. One of my boys, Monty, gets very anxious and is incredibly sensitive so I try to give him lots of reassurance. My other 2 who are brother and sister, Kylo and Daisy have a loving yet at times confrontational relationship, typical siblings. Discovering their individual quirks is one of the most wonderful experiences of all. Finding what works for you and your babies takes time. You’re an amazing cat dad. 😻😻💛
I second the orange male cat vocalness thing. My long haired orange boy was the most loud, obnoxious creature I’ve ever heard & if I ignored him he’d just get louder & louder. My girl cat, Wednesday, is a black short haired bob tail cat & I swear to god she was like an angsty teenager & NOTHING would work to make her stop clawing my couch other than squirting her with a spray bottle. I obviously don’t encourage physical discipline but luckily it worked after only doing it twice. (My vet actually recommended it) I thought I wanted a sphinx until my friends new sphinx cat had kittens. They felt like little ball sacks & it was unsettling to me lol. Welcome to parenthood. The little freeloaders are worth the stress. 🖤
I heard that sphynx cats have lots of skin problems and you have to bathe them regularly. I dont know about you but bathing cats sounds like an absolute nightmare lol
@ lol you are correct. They either need to be bathed regularly or wiped down constantly because they get dirty easily which even having to wipe down a cat sounds like nightmare fuel. lol. They’re adorable but just too much maintenance for sure.
Hello, Roly!! I've missed your content. Haven't had much time for literally anything I enjoy lately. I'm hoping to catch up on lots of your videos this weekend! Also, love your cats!!!!!!
Just like human children, cats are individuals and respond differently to praise, rewards, discipline, etc. Always great to have generalized advice, but you know your cat better than anyone else. So amazing that you’ve found routines and responses that work with your kitties~
Kia Ora Roly. You are so right regarding teaching Globex indoor manners. Cats are like children they need to have boundaries. I have a wee boy called Davros & it has taken since May to literally "calm" him down. He was born in March & to begin with he was a bundle of fluffy energy. Now he is 9 months old & FINALLY starting to calm down. He is a ragdoll, Chinchilla mix. So handsome. He is a sweet, sweet boy. He says Mum yes he does & I won't hear otherwise. 😂😂😂😅 I hope you had a nice Christmas & I wish you all the best for 2025. Jane in New Zealand 🇬🇧 🇳🇿
also i have a tip for the dry food! one of mine also prefers dry so what i do when i feed them dry is put it in a big slow feeder or puzzle toy so- the dry being more healthy than treats amd they can get some enrichment from having to retrieve the food
I love how thorough this video was! Coming from a indoor-cat mom of 4, you are absolutely doing great sweetie. I also believe you'll eventually get to open the BR door again, it couls be up to a year from now based on the youngest's age. But those cat cuddles are so worth it. It's magic I promise.
It’s actually completely fine to wake them up a little during the day, it helps train them to sleep more throughout the night so you could actually then have them in bed with you 😊 My cats do still sleep throughout the day, but they also thankfully don’t wake me up during the night as I try to interact with them a lot during the day x
I was a new cat person 6 years ago. There are so many cat rescues here I needed to do something. So I studied up 😂 and decided to get 2 kittens. Best decision! They're inseparable brothers and kept each other busy. We got on a schedule that works for us all. I wouldn't change a thing, even though once in a great while I want to scream 😊 (I found the third girly) 🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛
Your cats are sooo cute! 🥹 Your cats keep you up all night? I have a male void who is soooo vocal. And he grunts a lot too. He does have a heart condition (and asthma) unfortunately which we’ve grieved over already, he’s doing well. I’m recovering from sterilization surgery and he hasn’t left my side ❤❤❤
The meowing non-stop part!!! 🤣 I went to the vet with mine because I was like there must be something wrong I can't get him to stop like maybe he's in pain or something. The vet told me Oh he just likes talking to you and talking in general. 🤷🏻♀️ He's perfectly healthy. I was shooked. 🤣 He still doesn't shut up and he's a brown tabby, not orange. Never had a cat like him before and I had many when I was younger.
What a lovely update. They are adorable & you speak so sweetly about them. You always make me smile, Roly, but this feels, I dunno, oddly wholesome? I'm happy y'all have found each other.
No worries Roly, this is your channel! And after you get settled in I'm sure other things will come back to the forefront. I love cats so I'm not going to complain, they're both so adorable! 7:00 maybe he's singing and likes the sound of his voice echoing off the walls? My cat sings in the shower, and I have no clue where he got it from because I don't do that. I have a Siamese btw, so yeah, he's also a chatty catty! Also cats will hear other cats in the neighborhood, mine would meow out the window or under the door to the other cats in my building (kind of cute, kind of annoying) Oh, the sleep thing! Yeah. Sometimes they do calm down after a while/grow up a bit. My cat is now 19 and he's up every few hours because of his arthritis and it hurts if he lays down too long. So I hear you on the sleep deprivation front! I hope he calms down for you so you can do the cat snuggles soon, those are the best! I've heard many of my cat owning friends say that the older one will teach the younger one to behave better. I've only had one cat at a time so I can't confirm that, but have seen it with friends cats and dogs as well. I think you're being a great cat dad 👍😸 Thank you for sharing them with the world, I follow them on insta too, so cute! Thanks for making accounts for them!
Oh my god your so cute and fun to listen to saw you with toxic tears and now you have your own channel...im a cat muumy so its lovely listen to you talk about your babies...what an amazing daddy they have 😊💜💚
I want to say for all of my cats, when it comes to training for that scratch pad/posts, redirecting them with a firm but not cruel "no" worked best. When they scratch the sofa or chairs, I would say "no" and physically move them to thr appropriate place. Then I would give them pets and praise when they would use it after being moved. I've had much better luck with redirection for all of my pet cats and all the cats I worked with when I worked at shelters when I was young. My torti is so vocal, I named her Vox. 😆 But yeah, that makes sense. Cats ARE very social animals and when they sleep they prefer to have others with them. It gives them warmth and safety. My black boy I had was just like Globex. Super active at all hours and loved the sound of his own voice. 😆
I have a very vocal cat and he’s ten years old and mouthing off all the time, he’s tonal and sassy but I wouldn’t have him be any other way. He is partially Siamese so that could explain it lol. He was telling me off during this video actually he’s funny. Your cats are absolutely precious just absolutely adorable.
The kitties are absolutely gorgeous how are you Amazing video it's nice to see the life of the kitties bless their little paws Best wishes Vicki and Craig
Aw, I have the same dynamic - a slightly older girl who doesn't always want to play and a younger boy who harasses her to play and can sometimes be too much and too annoying with the older girl. I got each as a baby, the younger is now 7, and even though he has calmed down, he is still definitely the instigator. They get along pretty well now, but they never got to the point of snuggling each other or grooming each other. I find cats usually "grow up" when they hit 2, he might still settle even more in the next year 😊
Ooh - I feel your pain with a male ginger chatterbox! My flame-point Ragdoll x Maine Coon, Bonkie, comes under that description, and yeah it really can do your head in sometimes. I found that putting him in the furthest room from me and shutting the door for half an hour's time out would break the chat-cycle, but I'm not sure your Globi would accept that! The night-time thing .. I knew from the start that Bonkie, his sister and my youngest boy (a Norwegian Forest Cat) were NEVER going to be in the bedroom at night, so that was right from kittenhood when they came home at 13 weeks. There were initial protests - typical cat entitlement! - but I stood firm and used (gentle) chemical warfare against them. This consisted of the reaction to any scratch or meow at the bedroom door only ever being the following: me opening the door, completely ignoring them - no talking, no eye contact - and squirting a citrussy perfume on the door at cat height (O de Lancome ... but cheaper ones are available!). As cats find citrus offensive, this would discourage them, and it didn't take long at all to realise that their actions only got them a stinky reaction that they certainly didn't want to put their paws on. Job done. They know they are welcome in the bedroom during the day, though - and I think it's important for indoor cats to have the maximum amount of space available to them. Just not while I'm sleeping 🙂. Oh, and a daily going over with the Zoom Groom - which they love - lessens the cat hair in the environment, stopping it at the source! For the 'cat glitter' that's already escaped, apart from regular vacuuming (obvs) the Lilly Brush (just a small car detailer tool with a rubber blade) on their preferred sleeping places is *amazing* as it picks up loads of stuff even directly after using my Dyson Animal upholstery attachment. Even so, the dreaded cat hair on the face thing still sometimes happens - so irritating! Like you, though, I couldn't imagine letting mine outside, so it's something I'm more than happy to put up with.
You're a great cat daddy, Roly... Takes time, but they obvs love you! I have yeeears experience in cat rescue. Each are unique. You have to find what works best for you and them. As long as you're not dishing corporeal punishment (I know you're not) you're alright. Some cats are vocal. Just talk back with them It's ok
Ive had cats since I was a child. They have all been so different, there isnt a one size fits all. Ive currently got siblings. They are free fed which is generally frowned upon once they get to adulthood and certainly wouldnt have worked with my other cats but they stay a constant weight, never gorge so it works for us (over 6 years!) Just do what works for you and the furbabies
they'll annoy the crap out of you, but you love them like crazy!!! Storm my cat scratches the crap out of the curtains when she's hungry (or just feels like being irritating and wants attention) I've noticed she sleeps at the same time as me but will wake me up for food no matter the time!
You're just describing very normal cat behavior LOL. They'll calm down after a while and won't do it all night long. But I've had both of my cats for 10 years and they still get super hyper at night when I'm getting ready to go to bed. It only lasts about 20 minutes now though
Treats don't always work for my adopted cat either. I use the "ah ah" voice when she does something she shouldn't. First (if i see it) I will say "Mishkah" (her name) in a certain voice as a warning. Then, as she pushes it and does the thing, I do the "ah ah" in a firmer voice. As she is a real Diva and will walk all over me if I didn't tell her not to do this and that. I'm setting healthy boundaries with her but I don't scream, rant and rave at her. I got her around the same time you got Globex and it's been a wild ride and I've owned rescue cats before. But this has been totally different this time with a female tortoiseshell. Tortoiseshells have a specific attitude that is *very* sassy and cVnty.
Ignoring any animal that is in a new environment and it's doing something you don't want it to doesn't really make sense, as you said. As for Globex meowing just for the sake of it, my mum has burmese cats, and one of her cats would do the same thing just talking for the sake of it. You do get used to it, but obviously, if it affects your ability to sleep, then you need to figure out a way to minimize that either through play to tire him out or close your bedroom door as you have done. If you want to let them outside, you could try harness and leash training so they know that if they have their harness on, they are allowed outside with you or in their enclosure when you eventually get it. Obviously be careful during the training process that they don't decide to start darting for the door every time you try and go outside.
By the time they reach 10, their elderly age, they will become more cuddly in the evening. Ive had my two cats for 16 & 17 and they got more cuddly when they turned 10. I also had an orange male cat and he was very talkative for attention and food.
There is a lot of individual cat traits. Cat training is much different to dogs. You have to do what works for you and him. I am a certified animal behaviorist but I don't know it all. My 5 yr old does not stop talking 😂😂 it does drive u u the wall. I get it. Some cats are super vocal. Kittens tend to be mega vocal cuz they r lonely. He is still considered a kitten until he is a year and a half. At one year it is helpful. I had to do the dog down in his own bed downstairs. I have sleep apnea so that helped me know why I have sleep issues
You might want to consider investing in a couple of cat leads. They’re great for allowing your babies to run around outside but in a controlled way. The leads are very long for when you’re in a green area. Then you can get some amazing footage of them too. 🙂
yes about listening to the internet! cats are their own creatures they will do what they want, yes you can get them to not pee everywhere, scratch thing etc but their other behaviors other side that are unique to them! my tabby rescue at is very very vocal he will shout for me at all times but it's just him! unfortunately my cat will not tolerate another kitty in the house he either gets so scared or very very aggressive, i think due to his very early days and being attacked so much in his previous house and I will not let him hurt another cat,so we are doing some training to see if he will soften and let me get him a friend.
in my clowder of 4 the loudest is the lone ginger who is also the lone lad. he hisses at *me* but he did that the day he was born too so i don't take it personal. he's the most skittish of the litter he was born in. there's occasional hissy fits between them but that's more his mother being like "No. stahp it." to him or his sibs. his mom and auntie are the older of the group being 13 and the younger 2 being 12 yours look really comfortable in their space
We have 3 cats aged 17, 15 and a year old. All completely different temperaments. Lizzycat the youngest is extremely vocal. But as soon as she plays a bit or has a bit of fuss she's fine. I'm sure he'll calm down now he has a friend; Lizzycat likes trying to play with our two old ladies 😅 Our two older cats sleep with us, when he gets older he'll calm down. Jazzycat my 17 year old cat sleeps on my pillow ❤
I've noticed the sentiment that cats 'need' to go outside or that it's important enrichment for them seems to be a little stronger in the UK than in the US? (For example, I heard recently about a UK cat rescue who refused to approve adopters who wouldn't/couldn't provide the cat with free-roaming outdoor time😬) So I hope that isn't making you feel guilty about keeping them indoors! My two cats are both turning 14 this spring and they've been exclusively indoors their entire lives. I tried taking them out on a leash a few times and they were horrified by grass! Honestly it's nice that they have zero desire to be outside because they NEVER try to escape - we don't have to be careful or ask guests to be careful not to let the cats out because the cats are fully uninterested! The bedroom is a different story - they aren't allowed in there, either, but they absolutely WILL sneak in if the humans aren't careful😂
Roly, both of my cats are rescued ive had them both for over 7yrs, do they still bounce on me in the morning for food? Yes they think it's funny, cats are teaching you what they want, do it wrong and they will make you pay 😅😂 they are so clever. ❤
I've had super vocal kitties too but most of the time it wasn't that bad after the kitty stage. But would yowl when food was given until he was eating. It was actually funny cuz sometimes he just wanted your attention just for your attention. He was an outdoor cat all his life.
The best way to train them not to scratch things is put a scratching post in that area, if you get the time Jackson Galaxies UA-cam channel is really helpful, I put a scratching post by my chair and my cats don’t scratch it as much now 😊
Oh, I totally forgot to tell, that I had earlier 2 orange cat..Picasso and Paloma 😍.. they were not vocal as you have and they were so so sweet cats,but..unfortunately I got very bad allergy for cats and after that asthma, so I had to give them to my friend..one of the sadness day of my life😭. I would love to have cats, but unfortunately it's not possible. So now I have dogs..I love all animals, so I'm happy that I can at least have these babies 😍😍🩷🫰
When my cats started getting older and more picky about food I started putting their wet food in a blender mixed with their elderly cat vitamins and kidney supplements. I give it to them for breakfast and they eat dry food the rest of the day and it's worked well
"Do I regret getting my cats?" Proof that there is such a thing as a silly question. Roly clearly adores Mr Globbies (aka several dozen other endearments), and then went and got another cat, just in case anyone had any doubts about the matter. Cat marking (and fur length, etc) preferences and rescue cats: based on my observations, it all depends upon where you live. In Australia, white cats were not all that uncommon in Adelaide and Melbourne, whereas, off the top of my head, I don't think I've seen an all-white cat all the years I've been in north Queensland. We have a lot of black cats here, and, of course, plenty of grey, silver, brown and black tabbies. We seem to have a lot of ginger cats, even females, and of course, we have a lot of cats with white paws or legs and white throats through to white throats and bellies. There may also be some regional variations, it's not unusual for Melbourne cats to have a "Roman" nose and quite a lot of moggy cats in north Queensland have quite harsh fur on their backs, compared to the rest of their coat or that of cats from other parts of the world.
I think since most ppl get their cats from the cat distribution system, most cats are genetically more likely to be gluttons, since strays and ferals who are food motivated tend to survive longer than those who are picky eaters in the wild. I am assuming that both cats are from previous owners so more likely than not they didn’t have to deal with finding something to eat as well as illness, fighting, and all the other dangers that cats who have unbridled access to the outside have to face. I would recommend grtting them started on cat toothpaste if you haven’t since they will need good teeth protection and a lot of ppl don’t brush their cat’s teeth at all. As far as the cats getting annoyed with each other it makes sense since they are at different maturity levels and animals will often correct each other better than humans. And as far as correcting bad behavior, sometimes something as simple as learning to ‘speaking their language’ works for me and tends to be easy enough for them to understand. Personally I prefer adopting cats or the cat distribution system over buying cats but I still love cats just the same.
My cat is the same I couldn't ever train her with treats bc she doesn't care for them so the way I trained her was with a hand on approach like she gets lots of pets when she behaves but when she scratches at the furniture I use a water bottle she hates that but it gets her stop scratching my stuff.
My cat will not eat dry treats at all, but he goes crazy for the liquid ones in the tube. But he also likes wet food, so I am not sure the tube will work for your cats... (my boy is also a screamer haha)
one of our cats like plastic she likes the crinkly sound one of her favourite toys was a plastic straw.....we have decided to keep both our cats indoors and there is less chance of them picking up something...the last cat we had we suspect he was poisoned as the night he passed away (we had to sadly had him PTS) our neighbours cat who was much younger had the exact same symptoms. he was 14 when he passed away so while he was considered elderly still would have had a few years left
Do have to wonder if maybe Globex might have been connected to a certain cat in his former foster home, maybe? He could be looking for them. Some cats connect with others, a friend or littermate. I have 2 pairs currently who cuddle constantly. Howie Meowie and Chloé Simone, especially. Breaking that bond would freak them out.
All cats are different and will handle things in very different ways. My first cat Olive she really took her time getting to know me. She was 10 months old when I got her and her owner had spray-painted her pink and dumped her on the side of the road…. Needless to say she was a little traumatized. My second cat puck who is a Jedi master does his own thing he totally does….. but the biggest thing is is that they are not your pets. You are their pet….. that’s pretty much how cats see it. The spray bottle never worked on puck or olive at all. And don’t forget a nice dose of catnip once a week.
The reason I have cats is because they are nocturnal. I stay up all night and sleep during the day so cats are the perfect companions. At present I only have one 🐈⬛
Cats are natural hunters and solitary animals that are not as dependant on their owners as a dog etc is. As the saying goes you don't own a cat a cat ownes you. they also need alot off mental stimulation. Yes there are a few risks with allowing them to go outside but at least if they are allowed outside they can be cats. They can do what's natural for them, hunt explore etc. they can be cats. They are not the same as dogs. The only time I ever kept my cats indoors was when I first got them as they settled in and got to know their environment, smells etc, when they got neutered whilst the wounds healed and if they were under any form off vet treatment at home. Other than that they were allowed outside during the day as long as the weather was ok and they'd come back in at night and if the weather was too cold and rainy. I disagree with people forcing cats to stay indoors for no real good reason such as these type off reasons. If owners live in areas that outside is just too dangerous such as there's lots off predators like some countries have coyotes etc, or if your by a very very busy main road then I'm sorry but a cat is not the right animal for you. Your better off with an animal that is better and designed to be kept indoors which is basically any other pet animal
20:41 cats are usually crepusular (fancy way of saying awake for dusk and dawn) but if you did wake them up more during the day they'd probably sleep through the night (maybe)
Thanks for joining me today! Make sure to hit like and comment it really helps
As a cat owner thank you thank you THANK YOU FOR KEEPING THEM INDOORS!!!!!!
Keeping a cat inside lengthens their life.👍
i love linguo looking like a little white cushion
The part about not listening to the internet really speaks to me as a service dog handler. There are a lot of people who will tell you that there is only one way to do things "correctly", but every animal is different and needs different things! I'm glad you found something that works for your kitties
Yes I love advice but yeah it's really not a one size fits all deal
100%. If I had never told my dog "stop that", then she would be so out of control! 😅
Cats are all so individualistic, the real are no "rules" you can use.

@@ExtraRoly my orange boy does that too. It's like he has one brain cell and forgets where he is.
I love that you adopted these cats. And I agree with you about letting cats just run outside.
Calm and firm verbal corrections are good, I don't understand why so many people think you should never be stern with your cat.. I'm glad you went with your feeling there Roly! You seem to be doing awesomely imo ❤
Your cats are gorgeous 😍 You're doing a first class job at looking after them and loving them 😊
Love the Roly+cats core!
Every cat is an individual, and while general advice can be helpful, it's mostly about learning what works for your cat's personality - like you've done!

Long story short: uninvasive conditioning, also time and building trust. From afar your two babies look perfectly happy together ❤❤❤
Lots of love!
We live for the Cat content on the second channel. 😂🥰 As a fellow cat owner, I always welcome updates about Mr. Globbins and Linguo.
Mr Globbywigs!! Love that name 😂
Oh it has changed so many times I am sure it will be different in the next video too
My first two cats have been together for going on 10 years.
I se on using soft paws for cats and dogs our Great Dane wears them and it helps prevent slipping on tile floors
Declawing is thankfully illegal in the UK wish it was everywhere
GLOBEX CAT DOMINATION WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 🔥
gosh its so bizarre seeing your room without all the lights lol
HAHAHA I wish I could have them all on the time but I would hate that electric bill xD
They look so cute chilling out together x
Precious little fluffbums x

Second channel video idea for the spring/summer… Building a catio
(My vet actually recommended it)
I thought I wanted a sphinx until my friends new sphinx cat had kittens.
If you think globex is dramatic it's nothing compared to a shiba inu. They scream and are stubborn
I hear that from everywhere 😭
you look so happy with your cats roly! they bring so much joy x
😂😂😂😅
I hope you had a nice Christmas & I wish you all the best for 2025.

also i have a tip for the dry food! one of mine also prefers dry so what i do when i feed them dry is put it in a big slow feeder or puzzle toy so- the dry being more healthy than treats amd they can get some enrichment from having to retrieve the food
Yes I have been thinking about getting a fun pet feeder to keep them entertained but also fed xD
It’s actually completely fine to wake them up a little during the day, it helps train them to sleep more throughout the night so you could actually then have them in bed with you 😊
My cats do still sleep throughout the day, but they also thankfully don’t wake me up during the night as I try to interact with them a lot during the day x
I LOVE BLACK KITTIES!
Also cats will hear other cats in the neighborhood, mine would meow out the window or under the door to the other cats in my building (kind of cute, kind of annoying)
Oh, the sleep thing!
Your cats are absolutely precious just absolutely adorable.
great vid Roly (as usual) i couldn't put up with the meeyowinggggg
The kitties are absolutely gorgeous how are you
Amazing video it's nice to see the life of the kitties bless their little paws
Best wishes Vicki and Craig
Love you Roly!!💜💜
Awwww Roly I love ur cats!! they r sooooo cute
\
My dog Lacey gets sleepy face too and it’s so funny and cute! She looks so grumpy when her eyes are half open 😂
I'm surprised Globee and Linguo haven't had a fight over who sits on ur lap first haha x
You're a great cat daddy, Roly... Takes time, but they obvs love you! I have yeeears experience in cat rescue. Each are unique. You have to find what works best for you and them. As long as you're not dishing corporeal punishment (I know you're not) you're alright. Some cats are vocal. Just talk back with them
It's ok
Beautiful cats. 🥰
Our cats currently in vet at the minute. Been in there 12 days so far!
Hope they are doing okay and you can get them back soon
Third channel, roly and cats 😸
You might want to consider investing in a couple of cat leads. They’re great for allowing your babies to run around outside but in a controlled way. The leads are very long for when you’re in a green area. Then you can get some amazing footage of them too. 🙂
yes i was thinking about doing this! In once it gets a bit warmer I shall
yes about listening to the internet! cats are their own creatures they will do what they want, yes you can get them to not pee everywhere, scratch thing etc but their other behaviors other side that are unique to them! my tabby rescue at is very very vocal he will shout for me at all times but it's just him! unfortunately my cat will not tolerate another kitty in the house he either gets so scared or very very aggressive, i think due to his very early days and being attacked so much in his previous house and I will not let him hurt another cat,so we are doing some training to see if he will soften and let me get him a friend.
in my clowder of 4 the loudest is the lone ginger who is also the lone lad. he hisses at *me* but he did that the day he was born too so i don't take it personal. he's the most skittish of the litter he was born in. there's occasional hissy fits between them but that's more his mother being like "No. stahp it." to him or his sibs. his mom and auntie are the older of the group being 13 and the younger 2 being 12
yours look really comfortable in their space
The best way to train them not to scratch things is put a scratching post in that area, if you get the time Jackson Galaxies UA-cam channel is really helpful, I put a scratching post by my chair and my cats don’t scratch it as much now 😊
Only 5 minutes in, it's sounds like you're talking about my cat😂
I give it to them for breakfast and they eat dry food the rest of the day and it's worked well
I shall remember this!
He's so cute
THANK YOU FOR KEEPING THEM INSIDE! There is no pro for them going outside. And i love cats, i own cats. People forget they arent dogs lol
My cat is the same I couldn't ever train her with treats bc she doesn't care for them so the way I trained her was with a hand on approach like she gets lots of pets when she behaves but when she scratches at the furniture I use a water bottle she hates that but it gets her stop scratching my stuff.
I can't speak for everyone ofc but I would be 100% fine is this became a cat channel.
Howie Meowie is the best name ive heard in a very very long time.
Keeping them inside is the best with where u live yeah. We have a deck but my cats are crazy jumpers lol 😂
0:51 He's being a cat. 😸
I'm currently making the two kitties fanart x😭🥰
All cats are different and will handle things in very different ways. My first cat Olive she really took her time getting to know me. She was 10 months old when I got her and her owner had spray-painted her pink and dumped her on the side of the road…. Needless to say she was a little traumatized. My second cat puck who is a Jedi master does his own thing he totally does….. but the biggest thing is is that they are not your pets. You are their pet….. that’s pretty much how cats see it. The spray bottle never worked on puck or olive at all. And don’t forget a nice dose of catnip once a week.
Your room looks different without al the lights
GLOBEEEEEE X
For a cat wheel you might have to train him a bit so he knows how it works.
Ohh it must be a serious conversation, there's no background lights on 😂
I dunno if ya'll get it in other countries but you can try them on kangaroo mince! It's very common here in Australia to have kangaroo pet mince
You’re officially a pet owner when you have 500 nicknames for each pet. 😂
HAHAHAH oh yes
The reason I have cats is because they are nocturnal. I stay up all night and sleep during the day so cats are the perfect companions. At present I only have one 🐈⬛
Cats are adaptive 🙂
Mine (boy and girl) sleep when I do - between 11 p.m. and about 5 a.m. 😁
Beautiful ❤🖤💜☺️
Your cats are too adorabubble bubble!
I learned early on that my younger boy responds to spanish more than English, cats are silly 🫶
🤩
Yeah u can wake them in the day yeah. My baby is like that
You should have your melitonin level checked, because if it's low, that could be the reason u find it hard to fall asleep, hugs
20:41 cats are usually crepusular (fancy way of saying awake for dusk and dawn) but if you did wake them up more during the day they'd probably sleep through the night (maybe)
