I love that we're around the same age and your decoration style is so colorful. most adults nowadays go for a neutral pallet and think colors are childish, but since I bought a place I've been working to make it more colorful lol

What a lovely glimpse into your past, Roly.
My Dad died in 2007, my Mom in 2019 and my maternal Grandma in 1973 and though I miss my Parents a lot, it's my maternal Grandma I'd love to see; she does visit me, but it's always when I'm sick or depressed or in a lot of pain (chronic pain stinks) and I'll feel her beside me on my bed, hugging me. I met up with The Niagara Ghost Detective, Dennis, just because I had been living in a house with a poltergeist and wanted to pick his brain. He's a rescue medium and as soon as we sat down to have coffee, I asked him to hold something that had belonged to my beautiful Grandma. He immediately described a Woman standing behind me, and he described her to a T. It was comforting to know she really is around me. I barely remember my maternal Grandfather because he died when I was 5 or 6.
I always have said that when I die, wherever we go, I want my Grandma to greet me first, then my parents, followed by every single Aunt, Uncle and Cousin that have died; all from my Mom's side of the family.
I'll 🤐 it now 😂
Now I want to go through my photos! No school mementos as I attended so many schools when I grew up living in the bush, literally.
The wholesomeness of you (and Luxx) is giving me life to the point it makes me tear up 🥲
I can totally understand wanting to keep things bc of nostalgia i was born in 2002 so all the things i had from birth and childhood i kept til i was 18, i unfortunately dont have most of it anymore, my parents hated me keeping what they deemed as “trash” in there eyes but in mine it was memories, also its so cool seeing peoples past photos and memories and seeing how they grew up, as soon as i found this channel i immediately wanted to support you bc your one of my favorite creators ❤️🌈☺️ thank you for sharing, its always nice to watch more of your content i watch this with my cat 🐈 it makes the days happier ♥️🐈🌈

I can relate on not picking up stro g hints. I'm straight but on the ace spectrum. I have an interest in that stuff, but often it is just NOT something I think about. Like when I meet someone what I think about them in a podsibly romantic way just does not occur to me to consider. Or when I'm doing something I really have zero interest in it. So I miss hints all the time. 😆 Like unless a guy is super direct and just outright states it, it is very rare for me to pick up on it. Especially when I'm just out about, going along my day.

Re: the cassette (sp?) tape: My best friend and I used to do something quite like that when we were 9 or 10 or so . . . plunk a cassette tape into one of those one-speaker recorders, hit record, act like lunatics, rewind, listen, and crack uｐ!
We had a little library of hilarious cassette tapes of us acting completely stupid! How I wish we still had ecen one of them . . . 😢

Yeah I know that you mean about your grandma, I wouldn’t mind seeing my maternal grandma again as I spent a bit of time with her as a kid - I never met my maternal granddad as he died when my mum was 3, my paternal grandparents were in England while I live in Australia so i hardly spent any time with them
I love watching these sorts of videos, I kinda don’t enjoy looking back at my own past photos from childhood etc cos I wasn’t able to be myself (am a trans guy, was forced to present like a girl so those memories are very painful) so it’s a bit weird, I hope one day I can look back on it with a different perspective! Hopefully I will be able to because I have friends a bit older than me who’ve had a lot of trauma and they say once you get older and work through it all you can sort of compartmentalise it so you can mostly remember the good parts 😊 also I’m very nosy so that’s probably why I enjoy these vids so much haha

It's equal parts fun and depressing going through thing from early in your life. I went to my high school 30 year reunion this weekend and since I moved the week before, I found my school ID cards. The ones organizing the reunion had name tags made with our senior year photos. I posted to our group page a photo of my IDs and so many thought it was wild to have held on to those. My mom has her 60 year reunion next year and my son has his 10 reunion in 2025. All from the same school!
I adore this!! My grandmother was def an icon who I wish I could see again so she could see where I am. She was the only family member who took me coming out as bisexual really well. She was like why should I care who you sleep with don't get stds lol. Baby roly!! Love it

I spotted you straight away in the 2000 school photo and took me a bit longer to spot you in 2001 photo, you’re in the back. So cute and so tan. Same thing happened to me, I was a blonde tanned child and now a whiter than white adult.

Omg I used to secretly voice record conversations between me and my friends on a cassette tape because we would say the most random shit and then when it was done recording I would laugh and be like “ok Kristen, let’s listen to what we were just saying, I recorded us the whole time lol”

In 2018 I came out as Bi to my family and friends and then I brought my first pride flag and then I brought a pride bracelet and laces for my DM boots. 😂 i went on a “I’m gay” mini shopping spree to celebrate me coming out.
