In the end it was Layan herself who created a monster. After beating Miriam into a pulp she could've still gotten out this... but with the accusations she finally broke her victim to pieces. Something in this girl died when nobody believed her. What I find tragic about this story is that Miriam put herself in the place of the monster. She became just like the person she utterly despised and was fully aware of what she was doing.
this show broke my heart, i honestly felt bad for mariam:( as the younger arab girl who grew up with mean arab girls, this really does show how some girls from 3blaad are so mean :( (not all)

This was so shocking because watching it from Japan, I had NO idea why the parents were acting the way they did. I did my research and my heart was broken. In the end, Mariam stood up for herself but did not realize that the real threat was not among the girls, but those who were outside of the school. It was Mariams mom, ruqayas mom, the principal, ranias dad, and Leyans family who came to destroy these girls.
The girls knew the environmental factors that controlled their lives, but rather than help each other overcome them Layan and her cronies decided to lord it over everyone. Not a death penalty crime, but if you f*** around…..

Almost every single abuse Mariam went through damaged her for life and possibly could've taken her own life, which could've charged Layal and her gangs for bullying, assault and murder/manslaughter. But of course, I can imagine they could've gotten away with it because everyone seems to take that thing's side regardless, so no justice would've been served and she would have gotten away with it. All of that permanently damaged Mariam, but all you could think of was... a stupid towel scarf? Idk what kinda world you live in but you *DO NOT* choose religion over anything else. If so, you're a sick mental individual with a lack of empathy, you have a toxic mindset because of the environment you live in, just like in the series.
