    I watched 10 or 12 videos before I found this one. Exactly what I need but I draw simple square around text

    When you drag your image into Fusion and then connect it to the background, it appears in your display window. Mine does not. A search online shows many others trying to find a solution. Seems like every time I try to use Davinci, it becomes a project and is not intuitive. Any suggestions?

      Could be due to a variety of reason. Maybe you're not connecting nodes properly. there's different arrow colours for different purpose. Or maybe you're not connected to the media out node. I would suggest that you watch a beginner tutorial on how nodes works that should give you pretty good base. Casey Farris as done some very good ones on the topic

      @@VideoEditorStudio "Watch a beginner tutorial"... that's funny. Turns out your directions to use a background node were not compatible with my 18.6 setup. As soon as I eliminated that directive, everything worked fine. But hey, your Mask Paint and Stroke Controls input got me on the right track, so thanks for that.

    Fun but sorry that I cannot see clearly your screen as you speak a bit fast... I'll come back when I am more at ease with the software... Thanks !

    Great video, thanks !!
    Do you have a video on how to change the texture of the lines you're drawing ?
    For instance to make the arrow you're drawing not just look like a straight line, but like the stroke of a paintbrush ?
    (Okay, i'll admit it, like the markings you use in your own tutorials, for instance to emphasize a certain setting in the inspector...?) 🙈😄

      In my opinion your best bet to create texture is to use a png and a displacement node, I explain how to do something like that in this video ua-cam.com/video/-pl0uNbyURA/v-deo.html

    What if the animation is not supposed to start at frame Zero? Where do you put the mask/drawing? What if you have already an image (MediaIn)? Do you still need a background?

    • @VideoEditorStudio
      @VideoEditorStudio  Рік тому

      Well then you don't start it at frame zero, you can drop a keyframe at whatever frame you want, so you can start the animation at frame 78 instead of 0 if you wish. Yes you need a background as it set up the canvas/frame to be 1080x1920 and not whatever size your image is, then you can choose to have transparency or not with the alpha channel.

    False thumbnail...

    • @VideoEditorStudio
      @VideoEditorStudio  2 роки тому

      The effect is a drawing effect, if you want to have the hand as well you can easily do so by downloading a png online and keyframe it along with the effect that was presented in this video

      @@VideoEditorStudio Yes, it would be logical, but for us editors, time is money and it would be nice to be able to take advantage of the points/keyframes generated by the stroke and copied directly to the transform of the png node, but I couldn't make it work...

    • @VideoEditorStudio
      @VideoEditorStudio  2 роки тому

      @@polloloco6353 That's a good point, I think it could be done easily using a position link expression and adjusting the pivot. I'll see if I can make it work!

      I'm newbie in Fusion, I tried some solutions using node transform with "animate" and "connect to", but I was not successful... If you can make this work, it would be the first whiteboard tutorial for davinci on youtube... for now i will try your tip, many thanks..!
