I just finished the install of this exact head unit on my 2017 explorer xlt, i really liked the price & overall the install was very simple all plug & play. However one thing not mentioned or shown on the video is that you will need wifi to download the software for your specific make & model. I just used my mobile hot spot on my cellphone since i was far away from my apartments wifi signal. You will also need to reach out to customer support just incase the steps taken in this video don't work for you, in my case the install was very similar to the one in the video but the software install was completely different than the one shown here. Nonetheless I would say that it was a good experience & i took my outdated stereo into the modern age on a budget.
How does the unit function with back up camera and AC settings? I have a 2016 limited so a lot of buttons/functions on the dash that would be eliminated. I'm interested to see if it supports the heated and ventilated seats.
@Papa_Izzy this radio supports the factory back up camera & the climate control panel is integrated to the screen functions. I don't have heated seats on my car, but the radio does have that capability.
