Hi what dose BTG mean? I'm assuming soemthing to do with lap times? thankyou in advance.
its bridge to gantry .. during touristenfahrten you have to come out every lap .. so the BTG Time is from the first bridge to the gantry at the beginning of the long straight at the end. its about 17 sec difference to the full lap

I think you cant say that there is THE ultimate track car :) Megane is really great .. Cupra too ... Golf .. Clio .. many Hatch Backs are great fun Cars :)
@@xthilox Well i know a lot of guys who are in vecend racing. The comon coment and realization is next. When racing all day: 4-6h in that time you kill the new tyers. Use more than 80 liters of gas but Renault Megan RS tuned from 265 hp to 310 did 58 laps with no problems. Others AUDI S3, VW Golf 6 GTI tuned to 360 hp+ had some problems with brakes or other stuff... Well i thinck the low milage on Renault was the anser to it's durability. Really nice car but to get a first hand one with low milage you will hawe to spil out: 15-17.500€.

The BMW M3 much more expensive car needs of its super mods to follow the "littler" Megane 3 RS, there is the only truth see in this video. BMW M3 E46 stock (343hp) --> 8'22'' on the 20km about in the Ring. The old Renault Sport Megane 2 R26R stock (230hp only) --> 8'16'' - Megane 3 RS Trophy stock (265hp only) --> 8'07'' and the current Megane 3 RS 275 Trophy R stock (275hp only ^^) --> 7'54'' ! The fastest World market FWD. THE POWER WITHOUT THE CONTROL (so the chassis) IS NOTHING ! :-)

E46 M3 CSL: 7:50, driven by Mr. Von Saurma, who is not a factory BMW driver and doesn't try that hard either, vs. the Megane Trophy R driven by who I believe is a factory Renault driver paid to do a lap.

2 main things so more logically : BMW M3 most expensive and most powerfull car with bigger max speed vs the Renault Sport Megane 3 RS. All that is normally big advantages for the BMW M3 especially on a fast track and its long straight lines like the Nurburgring. And we see? So of course in the opposite of the stupid and false analyse of an integrist so uneducated BMW like you, the big control of the great chassis of the Renault Sport cars made for tracks in stock give the difference in spite of the most powerful and fastest BMW M3. You are not here in your videogame or your stupid Hollywood movie but in real life and on real tracks. The usual stupid and retarded US (noobs themost times) drivers who want to speak about motorsport and especially cars they don't know like the Renault Sport cars... Funny little clowns. :-)
+Pandemonium Lig You didn't compare times from the guys in this video. You compared times between a bunch of Renault factory drivers and the unknown driver from the 8:22 lap.
And some amateurs are way faster than other amateurs...if you ever go to a racetrack, you'll see that.
And power doesn't make things fast, power to weight does.
E46 M3: 216hp/ton
Megane Trophy R: 212hp/ton
And FWD cars have less drivetrain loss, so we're pretty even there.
But the Megane is on ridiculously sticky tires. Cup 2's in case you didn't know.
So the Megane Trophy R, driven on semi slick tires is SLOWER than an the E46 M3 CSL, made in 2003, and driven on street tires with 2003 technology.
And don't get your panties in a bunch...I don't even drive a BMW.
But come back when ANYTHING FWD beats the record set by a regular BMW back in 2003.
+TheXdmgx7 and he forgets the fact that the Megane has a turbo so it has more torque and it has the torque earlier so it should be faster. Also the Megane has a great suspension setup from KW. so i think the cars are pretty close. But for fun i would rather drive the M3.
+Pandemonium Lig I would just like to point out that the Megane 3 RS 275 is a MINIMUM of 10 years older than that E46 M3. Even if that M3 has seen some upgrades, the car is still old. I'd expect a decade worth of advancement and engineering to give a less powerful car a better time on a track.

There is nothing to brag about here! Absolutely nothing, despite the 70 horsepower disadvantage, which isn't there anymore because that engine (most likely at least) is very old.

I myself drive a Scirocco 2.0 TSi, and a friend of mine had an E46 M3. Before he supercharged it to 500 bhp, we had a dragrace. He got the better start, but as soon as he changed gears I gained (DSG). So up to 150 (I let off) we were dead even. He has (on paper if you follow stock specs) 100 bhp more than. I've had mine on a dyno, 245 bhp and 386 NM. 209 bhp and 345 NM find their way to the wheels.
I would not think that I'd keep up with him, due to 100(!!!) BHP less, but. I did. New tech > old tech
