Wonderful episode, Merry Christmas 😊. I understand about brain problems when trying to do the reverse of charts! I love when designers show both options....like on the recently released Catknit pattern. I don't know why, but I'm so intrigued by that pattern 😃
I love that you did an episode with your mom and that you make projects together. ❤ Your advent socks are both amazing! And those Christmas stockings are beautiful! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! I have a reverse Boyfriend curse story. I knit my husband a beautiful Paul Klee sweater, but he never wore it. So, I took it back, wear it sooooo much. It’s my warmest, coziest sweater. I would recommend this for a guy. And use up all your good scraps!
Such a lovely energy between the two of you and such great traditions. Nikki, I am in awe of your colourwork skills. All of your projects are so beautiful. Hope you have/had a great holiday season.
Hi! Those socks are amazing!! Have you seen the socks by sullavikat (Mia Sumell)? They’re something else… Also Lumi Karmitsa, those are also just stunning! ❤ Happy Christmas! 🎄
What a lovely episode again with your mum. The socks are beautiful,as are the stockings. Thank you so much and sending love and best wishes from my house to yours x
Loved seeing you and your Mum in the snow - it’s a very warm 32 degrees here and I’m crocheting a blanket for my Mum who’s in care so it’s acrylic to survive their brutal laundering regime. Have knit my husband a few sweaters and he’s still here after 35 years so have dispelled the boyfriend sweater myth. My favourites are the Dustland by Stephen West and a colourwork using Tin Can Knits Strange Brew so recommend those two.
Such a fun episode, thank you Nikki and Laurie! This year's Advent socks are amazing! My suggestion is too late for you but tuck away the information - if you have a light and dark chart but your colours are the reverse, you can convert the light to dark and dark to light quite easily and then print it out so that you don't have to keep chanting to yourself. The trouble is, I forget how! I have done it, and I don't have fancy editing software on my computer. The birds chirping in the background are delightful and your new backyard with all the trees is gorgeous. Happy New Year!
Love the frugal advent calendar! Both pairs of socks are absolutely stunning. (I’ll bet there was some swearing during the knitting😂) The choice of project for advent was also very creative and inspiring. Edited to add men’s sweater patterns: Cobblestone pullover and Cobblestone cardigan (Jared Flood) Beagle (Norah Gaughan) Antler (Tincanknits) Rift (Jared Flood) Ranger (Jared Flood) are a few that I’ve made that have been well received
So nice to watch a knitting podcast right in my hometown. Those socks are amazing. I only knit toe up socks on magic loop. The birds in the background were making my cat bonkers lol. (Just some random comments). Merry Christmas
Your socks are beautiful. What fun to be knitting with your mum. Your mum seems like she's lots of fun , so when she's finished at your house she's welcome at mine. It's definitely not snowing here !! (I'm in Australia)
Your sweaters and all your projects are gorgeous! I love how the cables pop with that yarn (the Saven). My recommendation for a men's sweater is the Goatherder by Ann Budd. It's really simple and classy.
I love love love your Nightingale socks!!! I can’t decide who’s I like better! I love your advent tradition. Making it in the summer is a great idea! For a man’s sweater; i made the Riddari for my husband. It’s a great pattern. Unfortunately it’s a tad too heavy for him (and now a little snug) so it’s better for me.
We have a white Christmas here in PEI as well. Your colour work cardigan is looking beautiful! Is the BOR at the steak? I struggled with that when I knit the Thornlea. Merry Christmas to you both!
This was an lovely episode 🎁🧶 I am watching from Norway. This Christmas i knitted «Gib» by Andrea Mowry for my husband and it was a success. Love from Birte @konkyliedesign

Thank you so much for the tip Alex! I will definitely look into doing that next time, now that I know my brain's limitations 😂 Happy New Year! 💕
@@KnittingWithCatHairI think it has to do with editing a photo of the chart using your phone’s own capability. Maybe!
Both Nightingale socks are absolutely beautiful. Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎅🏻🧤🎄❤️🧣❤️
Thank you so much! ❤️ Happy Holidays!
Wow! Your Advent socks are phenomenal.

Merry Christmas to you too! 🎄
We have a white Christmas here in PEI as well. Your colour work cardigan is looking beautiful! Is the BOR at the steak? I struggled with that when I knit the Thornlea. Merry Christmas to you both!
Thanks so much! Yes the BOR is in the centre of the steek so no end-weaving needed 🤗 Enjoy your snow and Happy Holidays! 💕
Do you wear the fancy socks with shoes/boots or are they like slippers for in house wear?
I think you can wear then however you like 😉
Chicka DeeDeeDee..
