I got into Jackson C. Frank a little over a year and a half ago after hearing blues runs the game covered by Simon and Garfunkel he's an incredibly under-rated musical genius and I'm happy to see people learning of his legacy through you
i tried to learn this from you 2 years ago and i spent hours and hours trying to get this, i gave up eventually and went on to other songs like landslide and dust in the wind. i came back to this today and it took me 5 mins. amazing how learning music works sometimes
Lyrics - Jackson C. Frank - My name is carnival - - - - - I've seen your face in every place that I'll be going - I read your words like black and hungry birds read every song - Rise and fall, spin and call, here my name, Carnival - Sad music in the night sings a scream of light out of chorus - And voices you might hear appear and disappear in the forest - And the small can steal the ball, to touch the face of Carnival - Strings of yellow tears drip from black-wired fears in the meadow - And their white halos spin with an anger that is thin and turns to sorrow - King of all, hear me call, hear my name, Carnival - Here there is no law but the arcade's penny claw, hanging empty - And the painted laughing smile and the turning of the style do not envy - And the small can throw the ball, play the game of Carnival - The fat woman frowns at screaming frightened clowns that move enchanted - And the shadow lie and waits outside your iron gates with one wish granted - Colors fall, throw the ball, play the game of Carnival - Without a thought of size, you come to hypnotize the danger - And the world that comes apart, it has no single heart when life is stranger - Colors fall, wheel and call, clawed dreams all, in the name of Carnival - Wheel and call, clawed dreams all, in the name of Carnival - - - - - Songwriters: Jackson C. Frank - Available on - iHeartRadio - Spotify - UA-cam Music - Artist: Jackson C. Frank - Album: Jackson C. Frank - Released: 1965 - Genre: Blues - Other recordings of this song - My Name Is Carnival - Youn Sun Nah · 2010
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. 👏👏👏👏👏 Great lesson and it will help me so much to play this beautiful song. The tabs is so helpful to learn in a fast way. You have now a new one that subscribe your channel. Good luck and congrats from Brazil. 🤟🤟🤟
Thank you very much for taking the time to make this tutorial. Is there any chance you could film the picking again as you are so quick it's hard to make out; I know you've included the score but I'm more of a visual learner. Thanks again, such a beautifully constructed tune.
Если вы посмотрите видео дальше, то увидите медленно воспроизводимые фрагменты. На 1.44 интро медленно, а на 2.10 крупный план. Надеюсь, это вам поможет. Удачи. Приветствие Frans
The vertical lines behind a numbers indicates that those notes are thumb picks, mostly bass picks. I write between 7 lines (6 spaces, representing the strings), as we did before computers existed. I still do, after more than 900 lessons. Greetings Frans

Hi Mike. That one's too difficult for me. Greetings Frans
@@franskuijpersguitarlessons No problem! Thanks.
Good lesson but I'm a bit confused by the tabs. What do the vertical lines mean and why are they not on the horizontal lines like most tabs? Thanks.

I am going to learn it until the end of this month, may...

What fret is the capo on?
Standard tuning?
Standard tuning. Capo 6. Good luck
Is a- a minor?
It looks like Am, without the indexfinger. So the B-string is unfretted. Greetings Frans
