First 3D Printed PORSCHE Boxster Ducktail in Malaysia. Car enthusiasts can now 3D scan & 3D print customized parts for their cars! Joey from Symmetry Works is the first person in Malaysia who can do this. I have recently gotten a used Boxster/ Cayman & looking for a ducktail.
In this first episode of Boxster Cayman Project, I will be sharing what are the advantages of 3D printing car parts. I will also be scanning my Porsche Boxster & designing a ducktail for the car.
This technique can also be used to scan a Porsche Cayman to design a custom spoiler for the Cayman 987.
An interesting question, is the Ducktail a wing or a spoiler?

option A, it is subtle and it flows well with the car lines. If Option B doesn't have the lines on down-facing side, that will be the best

Haha, you're right! But if you wanna deep dive, the 987 Boxster Spyder had a completely different & much larger ducktail than the 981s.
So that by itself means it's a unique design on the 987, lol 😆

The CoD at lower speeds should be higher cos of the potrusion.
At higher speeds, depending on A, B or C it will definitely be different compared to the original except for C. C's height is the same as the original height of the spoiler when it's up 👍🏼

Fair point. Issue is I'm so used to having a spoiler/ wing/ ducktail on my cars, it just doesn't 'feel' right to my eyes. So to each their own 👍🏼
