You keep my travelling fire burning 🔥 We've just started travelling full-time, and i questioned how you guys enjoyed it for 7 years. Some days with the kids are hard and no air con in 40° heat waves 🥵 Killer! You made 7 years on tube look easy!
Straddie is definitely the best island in Australia. Been camping on Flinders for the past 20 plus years and absolutely love it. You would be surprised how good it is in winter to. If you get good weather, it's warm days, cool nights, but so good. Can definitely recommend camping in winter on straddie. And yeah, it's best to avoid the crowds and go in off-peak times.
Lived in some of the most spectacular areas in Australia Gove NT Kimberly WA FNQ Pilbara WA Stradbroke Island is by far the favorite of all…. Thanking you for bringing back all the memories ❤
Love Amity Point. Biggest sites on the island. Great pumping for yabbies on low tide around Dunwich where the ferry comes in. Bull sharks are around off the camp site so you just have to be aware not afraid. Dolphins in the arvo before they head to their free feed at Tangas. Myora Springs is a beautiful place for a swim and explore on any tide
Made me laugh when the kids started fighting in the back. 3 kids here too and trying to work out ways to make the roadtrip from Cairns to Fraser a bit more pleasant. 😅
School in Hervey Bay. You must be fairly close to me. I'm in Maryborough. If the family likes a feed of good quality fish and chips, try Migaloo's at the Urangan Pier. Afterwards, go for a walk out to the end of the pier. They get some good size fish out there depending on the time of year.
Such a great place and so good seeing the memories you create with the family, as executive CEO of Australian Bank I unfortunately can no longer afford to go over - but hey might win the lotto one ah🤣 .. Take care legends
Another great video. I’ve been following for a while and trying to work out where you decided to make home base. From the video, it looks like Hervey Bay. We are Aussies who live in USA but are contemplating returning home to Oz, and Hervey Bay is up there on our list of locations. Interested to know if you have made Hervey Bay home base and whether you have a video where you explain the reasons for that? Cheers.
Great video once again guys!! Can i ask what site number you guys had as when I spoke to the campground they said the biggest site was 8.5m long but your vid shows your 22ft van and your car parked in front of it??
Hi mate, not sure about the samil, I went a $250fronius primo 3.0 from market place matched to 10/330w jinkos Definitely think the fronius victron relationship was worth it, all connected with lan cable, cerbo throttles up n down the frequency of the fronius as needed, was a bit daunting at first but got there in the end
Hi guys I have reached out on both Instagram and Facebook messages but no response so will try the comment section. Going of your map at the start of the video you guys must live near Hervey Bay, I have family there and we visit a few times a year but we have never seen surf like you guys post on your instagram stories could you please point us to a beach close with some surf. Thanks 😊
I’m really sorry mate, where did I meet you? I only remember meeting 3 people on straddie and I had a big chat to all of them?? Sorry if I was rude, definitely not my intention. 👍
Good to see you all travelling again. certainly looks very nice...Thanks for taking us. 👍

$765!!! That is crazy expensive!
Moreton Island is more expensive again
Kangaroo island ferry is the most expensive in Australia
Puts it out of reach to us mere mortals. I understand running costs but wow. At least we can watch it for free on UA-cam 😊
Lived in some of the most spectacular areas in Australia

Loved seeing you all on another trip together! $765 is too expensive, won’t be going there in a hurry 😢
If you have 200k rolling stock 1000 bucks for a weekend probably isn't a problem
I feel ya thirst for those beers. Love it. Haha
The best!
“How dare you” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Love it!!!! Real parenting😜
😂😂
Got to be one of the most expensive places in Queensland, but well worth it as the fishing is great. So much to see and do with a 4wd as well.
I reckon plan to stay a few weeks and it’s def worth it 👍
Not exactly a "budget" holiday, but what a drop dead gorgeous place!
What is a budget holiday these days????? Crazy
@@TripInAVan Yeah true, point taken. I'll bet your kids and the handbrake would just love another week or two on Straddie.
Another epic episode! I'm sold on Straddy... on the bucket list! Justin can you show us how you catch and cook your squid. Never caught one.
Sure can! I’ve done it in previous vids. But I’ll do again if I get some more soon

Great epp guys. Straddie rocks!
Damn your kids have grown x50!
The big Zone down main beach would be cool, challenge!
That would be cool!
Would love a video of the kids surfing epic clean offshore waves dude. 🤙👍
Oh me too man!! It’s so hard to film when your pushing them on waves 😂
Looks pretty awesome out there, but $765 to get in and out.....wow
Thanks for sharing 😎🤙
Thanks for watching!
We also planned to go to Straddies until we saw the ferry prices. Might have to wait till Winter... Thanks for another awesome vid!

It’s our friends van that we met at straddie

Very cool! Great feed there for sure

Thumbs up from Florida USA

What a stunning spot, do you still need to be jabbed to camp there? Last year it was very strict still. Looks like a blast guys 🤙🤙🤙
We had to show our vax certificates so I guess so
Seeing the drone crash hit me in the feels, just crashed mine the other day too 💀
Hurts a bit hey
@@TripInAVanohhhh yeah
Couldn't help but notice a Mazda 4x when you were setting up swags , not yours im guessing
Yeah my old car

Thanks mate. We don’t have a video explaining why. Just like the area. Quiet enough, with lots to do and still close enough to Brisbane 👍👍
Great video once again guys!! Can i ask what site number you guys had as when I spoke to the campground they said the biggest site was 8.5m long but your vid shows your 22ft van and your car parked in front of it??
Site no12 unpowered beachfront
Cracking spot! A shame the ferry is so bloody expensive, costs an arm and a leg to do anything nowadays
Yeah anything good these days is pricey hey
@@TripInAVan Absolutely! Few more taxes to go on alcohol before it really affects us though 😂😂
Hi, just wondering what you use to tie down your awning? Cheers
Navigator awning buddy straps. Discount code is tiav15 here:

Nice
Thanks

Nice video but remember to respect others vans by not putting you boards against others van. Love your videos and information
It was our friends van. We planned this trip as a catch up to see them , so it’s ok. 👍
❤
Noice Vid....
Cheers

Rainbow beach and double island 👍👍
Thanks guys
👍😁🙏
👍😄
We met Justin on this trip, talk about rude!!!
Yeah it’s turned me off watching the channel now.
I’m really sorry mate, where did I meet you? I only remember meeting 3 people on straddie and I had a big chat to all of them?? Sorry if I was rude, definitely not my intention. 👍
Geez precious much?
Things will be so much cheaper when all the Government fees are removed, I heard its very very soon, bye bye pollies....
I 🩵 Straddie. We stay at Cylinder beach. Geez I hope the price hasn’t skyrocketed that much for our rig…
Cylinders is such a nice beach 👌
Your kids are getting school ground attitudes?
They are great kids, just growing up 👌
Pitty they drunk the cool-ade during pandemic and hopped on the "must be vaccinated" train... Which still stands in their eyes.
I think it’s just the campgrounds hey?? The ferry didn’t ask for vax
@@TripInAVan Yep, just campground mate. Ferry and all other businesses on the island are great.
@@Uppaah I wonder if you can still beach camp? Or are they all controlled by the same crew
All controlled by them. Went to book and all people camping over 16 must provide vaccination certificates.
@@TripInAVan Moreton is the same but here on Fraser it's no issue. Weird huh. 🤷♂
Geez mate tidy up your act and shave the neck , it's a wonder the Misso isn't on your case, mine would be 😅😅😅😅👍👍
Yeah right.. I’m not to fussed about neck fuzz.. got betta things to worry about 👌😂🍺
👍👍👍😂😂
Please tell me kids don’t have to be needled to go there, I know adults do it’s pathetic.
Nah kids are ok
