    Firstly, the video is even better than last year! Secondly, the scape is beautiful Jacky. Your style of scaping is what I prefer, where the plants and hardscape speak for themselves - not a sand path in sight! You inspire me, you really do!

      Hahaha! I know right! I think that is a fun part of Aquascaping, the scape keeps evolving and changes throughout the time and surprises you with its beauty. 😊 Initially, I would like to have a neat flat carpet, but suddenly one part was growing faster than the other, then the idea of 🌊 waves started. And I love it very much. 😊🥰

    To add to so many here, you have a wonderful style. IAPLC seems to give a lot of weight to heavily constructed dioramas, with impact that I suspect doesn't read so well in reality. Sometimes I think it should be called the International Aquatic Rock Layout Competition. Something about your tanks is really fresh and welcoming. Rich, vibrant, lush. Great job

      Thank you very much, Richard! I really appreciate your compliments! 🥰🙏 I personally really love Nature Aquarium Style and hence I keep doing this style for my contest. The contest is part of the motivation for me to start setting up and creating new tanks. During the process, it's important for me and my family can enjoy this tank, too. NA style is just right for that. Not only from the front view for the photo taking, but also from may visible angles that we admire it everyday. Have a great day ahead! 🥰

    I feel like the tank appears smaller than it's because of the height of the substrate near the front glass. I think one could say it's a bit overgrown but I think this is the key to this very natural look. It reminds me what ADA / Amano used to do 10+ years ago ;) Crazy you got that much algae with a mature filter + substrate and considering your experience. Thank you for showing this !

    • @LitiAquaria

      Thanks for your comment, buddy! Yeah, algae is always part of the game and I would like to share it so that our hobbyists won't lose heart if they seeing it in the planted tanks. Just keep on going and do the treatment, it will be alright.
      I love how Amano-san created his scape so naturally and I appreciate your kind compliment on the style that I have for this tank. Thank you. 🥰

    • @LitiAquaria
      @LitiAquaria  2 роки тому +2

      @@ongwanchoon You are most welcome! :) I kept the light settting at max at all time. Algae issue is part of the process for the new tank. Water change always helps. You can do several water change per week at the first few weeks, it will helps a lot. Theoritically, if we can do water change daily, the algae is very minimal. 😊😊 Lighting is essential for plants growth, so it should be at full potential. You can also plant more stem plants, it will help to outcompete the algae growth. :)

    Hey brother, love your tank! Anyway, did u manage to get rid of the algae just by introducing the crew or are there some tweaks done as well to the lighting etc..

    • @LitiAquaria
      @LitiAquaria  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks bro. 😄 I normally set lighting period of new tanks at 6hrs per day and gradually increase it to max 8hrs per day when the plants mass is dense and tank is more stable. I do plant lots of stem plants which is fast growing, too. So it would outcompete the algae in the long run.
      For new tanks, algae is very normal. If it is on hardscape or equipment, you can withdraw water and use paint brush to apply H2O2 on them. Algae will die and algae eaters will eat those quicker. I introduce many types of algae eaters in the tank. Each of them have their target on some type of algae. So the more varieties the better (i.e. Amano shrimps, fire red shrimps, SAE, oto catfish, snails....etc.).
      Having said that, bigger tanks are normally more stable than small / nano tanks. Once the tank is stable, the algae is very minimal as the water parameters does not fluctuate a lot.
      Hope it is useful info for you, bro. 😄
