    Study Note:
    1. reciprocation: what you want others to treat you, you treat others the same way.
    2. Open-minded: ask more questions and seems open and reasonable
    3. Use the word "fair"
    4. Agree slowly
    5. Always ask something in return

That's a pure technique!!No emotional words or gestures, but only comfortable voice. This video itself shows the spirit of persuasion.

for my next negotiation , I'm going to talk and answer slowly and when reading the contract and the other party seems hesitant ill say lets come back to this later on, be prepared to pay a higher price for a deal where I can put the terms in my favour, I will be using the word 'FAIR'

I will use emotional reciprocity when I speak with someone and I will remember if I say something bad to others that they will reciprocate as well. Thank you for making this video it is very helpful and I will watch it again.

Manipulating our inbuilt need to reciprocate is genius. As mammals, as humans we are a reciprocal species and have developed our societies through collaboration, we learnt to share with others, we like to help each and have to live with owing someone until we pay them back. We are able to understand the concept of future rather than simply present and know if we do someone a favour today that in the future that person will feel indebted to us. Great way to manipulate our inbuilt mechanism of reciprocity!

This is an authentic way of persuasion,it becomes advantageous not only to the person who knows this technique, but also the other person to whom it's being applied to.Hence enhancing human relations for the better good.

Thanks for presenting this in a slow, methodical way. I am beginning a series of negotiations today and know that I am inclined to agree quickly so my big takeaway is to agree slowly!

  • @justjames1111
    @justjames1111 4 роки тому +3

Brilliant as usual. My takeaway from this is ..that when anybody asks for something You should 'ALWAYS ask for something in return', especially in Sales negotiations, as if you give something away without any return they'll ask for more and more, and I imagine that subconsciously your value in their eyes will diminish as well.

I found this video just after writing in reciprocity through facebook. A Korean man looked for my friendship, subscribed to my face and liked one of my videos. So I looked for the word "thanks" in korean 감사합니다! and added his facebook name. I really appreciate your videos. I have been listening to you almost every day since 3 weeks ago, when I discovered you

great point about the word "fair". All though as a parent teaching your children, it's important to set the expectation that life is absolutely not fair. In a business deal, the goal is a fair or equal beneficiary deal.

    - do something nice for others so they reciprocate
    - Let's come back to this
    - Agree slowly
    - Magical word "fair"
    - nothing for free, as for return
    - price is not meaningful if you don't know the terms
