"Grands is just another race, and I had to treat it as such." Barry Nobles That line gave me chills! Well done, Maxxis Tires! I'm starting late into this wild sport, and Barry is a man from whom we can all learn so much; he is a Legend. I've watched some of his V-Logs and I had to know more! His story is an overwheling passion for the sport. To create hills and jumps that aren't just readily avaliable to himself to progress is something to applaud. He never gave up, even through a horrible crash. He didnt stop; He kept pushing! I'll be following him until he retires from the sport. Incredibly inspiring story of a passionate BMX Legend! Goodluck, Barry, and I pray you have continued success. I know we all look forward to you snagging many more titles!
I'm starting my first local racing this year. I'm 40, still got that kid inside me and beside me that keeps me going. Thanks for the inspiration, I hope my kids see me as inspiration one day as the many see Barry.
My son just started his bmx journey 2 yrs ago now and he just thinks Barry is the greatest ever!! He strives to be just like him! Thanks so much for sharing your story and being a great role model to the younger bmxers and heck to all of us for that matter 😊
Amazing story Barry, you have incredible drive and you are extremely talented. I enjoyed your story very much and I respect your dedication to your wonderful family. Keep on keeping on.👍

Been their brother. Got 2nd in state of Illinois in 96’. Had a good ride with S&M. That started in about 1991. My 40 lbs street bike was my race bike. Took off the pegs and raced. Well in the state championship I got stuffed on the second berm. So I jumped the next double to get back in first. Landed past the double into the flat. Speed and momentum took me over the bars. I wore and open face with an old school JOFA. Smashed my face. Broke one finger. Broke my jaw. Got a dozen stitches in my chin. And got knocked cold for about 4 minutes. Had to get up and finish for get 2nd. DNF would have got me 3rd.
A bicycle athlete of epic quality! Amazing. What age and wisdom and the love relearn process can do. Barry is a shining light in the sport of BMXing.
