Dove bar soap is one of the best and cheapest way to make your face look amazing. I can't speak for the "flavors" they have now, but the original Dove will do it. I was visiting an older woman one day as part of my job, and her skin was incredible. I complimented her on it, and she told me she just uses Ponds.
Thanks for sharing!!
My grandmother used Ponds.
Love Dove soap. Have used it since I can remember. I’m so lucky to have gotten Mums skin genes. Easy does it. Never cover it.
I've been using Dove soap for years. My grandma and my sister had been to dermatologists and they recommended it. Ever since that is what I use. I don't use body wash, just the Dove bar. I buy it at Costco and it lasts so long.
Older generations didn’t have all these processed junk foods like we have now. And now, sugar is put in everything. Sugar breaks down the collagen in our skin. Want to look younger, quit the sugar ! 😮 I’m 58 by the way and people guess me to be late 40’s. I’ll take it 😊
I have so much body lotion and hand cream that I'll probably never have to buy anymore for the rest of my life. They were all given to me as gifts.
I put the date I open it on all these items, so I know exactly how long it lasts and incorporate that into my budgeting 🤑
Great idea!
I save a good amount of money on vitamins when stores have buy one get one and buy one and get half off on another.
I request items from my buy nothing group.
You’d be surprised how much people give away, that hasn’t even been opened.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’ve been gifted from food, beauty, small appliances, crafts, puzzles, and on and on.
Same with Free Cycle. Small appliances, furniture, plants - just about anything you can think of.
@@yellowbird5411 I agree, but Freecycle has died out, and few are in the group.
I got a walking foot cast for my husband to borrow. I also got a dehydrator, never used, to keep. I love that group!
@@yellowbird5411 love freecycle as well
We buy Aim toothpaste for .98 at Walmart.
For the most part, I have quit trying things and stick to what I know we like. Dove products have gotten pretty expensive, but I know we like them. I buy the sensitive skin white bars, body wash, and deodorant. Also to save money, we went back to a bar of Ivory at the sinks. It lasts a long time and doesn't melt away. I try to keep the products very minimal too, no more than ONE back up of anything. I just don't have the space for it.
I understand
I buy minimal products too. I like to keep things simple
Same here!
I buy soaps, facial sugar scrubs, body wash and lotions from a local shop owned by a friend. All her products are produced by her and her staff. They are natural products. I don't save $$ but I support a local business. Products last a long time.
I like to support local businesses, too!
Being a business owner in my local area, it's appreciated when local people patronize.
Easy ways for skin to look good.
A healthy diet,as in fresh fruit and vegetables,drink water,get plenty of good rest,avoid sun exposure,use sunscreen,wash properly.
If you have any acne or other skin issues, AVOID ANY COSMETICS
No smoking and no alcohol helps to keep one’s complexion to look better also.
And excercise. Some types like lifting weight makes the body release growth hormone to heal micro tears in muscles. This cause the skin to regenerate.
Great tips
We need some sun ! It’s the best way to get Vit D naturally.
Don’t burn but 10-20 min daily is so crucial for our bodies. 😊
I take vitamin D3, also. When I started taking it, both my arthritis pain and my anxiety went away. The doctor didn't tell me to take it - I did my own research and decided to take it. The doctor told me my ailments were my own fault because I didn't take care of myself. That was a lie, I'm a vegetarian, I eat fresh produce and I get in exercise. My arthritis & anxiety were because of a Vitamin D3 deficiency. Thank you, Google, for telling me what the doctor didn't.
Some doctors are idiots! Yeah, I have had to do my own research when I would still feel bad despite being on prescriptions. Sometimes figuring it out can help you work your way off the prescription drugs. Now, heart meds are nearly impossible to stop taking, and would be dangerous. And thyroid meds are also for life.
@coffeecupconversations Thank you for your kind words! Unfortunately, the doctors want to give prescription meds & blame the individual for what's going on. I was given Ibuprofen (even though they told me not to take it because it was bad for the kidneys), a round of steroids, patches, creams, and I don't remember what all else. I even bought my own creams (what I thought was a better brand) and I even got the cream/roll-on from the vape shop (super expensive). Other than temporary relief from the round of steroids, none of the above worked. Not even the vape shop stuff. They say they get old people in there all the time, buying it for their arthritis. Solution: All I had to do was replace all of the above with vitamin D3, and it all went away like magic. Both the arthritis and the anxiety. It's like I'm a whole, healed, capable person now (after having been so hopeless). God had the answer! I give Him credit.
What a jerk! I take D3 along with several other vitamins for fatigue. I hadn't heard that it was good for arthritis and anxiety. Good to know!
@@coffeecupconversations You said heart meds and thyroid meds are for life, can't be stopped. Are high blood pressure meds also for life? Or can they be stopped?
How wonderful
Great video! I love body wash but feel like I waste it. I put mine in an empty foaming soap container and it's great! Saves soap and it's nice and foamy!
I love Dove bar soap and Pondʻs! Sometimes the tried and true is best. 💜
Your skin looks great. Ponds should sponsor you.
I adore you
I have a wonderful remedy for cracked, dry heels which I invented myself. Just before going to sleep, I rub a pumice stone or foot scraper over the dry cracked areas, to get rid of the worst. Then I rub in a thick, emollient cream (any make will do as long as it's a rich moisteriser). I then wrap my feet in clingfilm, pop myself into bed & go to sleep. When I wake in the morning, I unwrap myself and my heels are lovely & smooth, because they have had an 8-hour moisture bath. I sometimes include my legs up to my knees, so even better. My friend prefers to do this during the day as she gets up a lot in the night. I don't need to do this frequently, mainly in the summer. Sorry about the clingfilm use, but it's perfect for this.
Great idea
I've heard of that, actually..another tip is exfoliate the dead skin off yourself at least twice a month
I like to rub Vaseline on my dry feet and then put on lose white cotton socks just before I go to bed. In the morning, the Vaseline has absorbed into my skin and my feet feel soft and smooth.
@@katherinerichardson1767
I’ve done this. It’s fantastic 😊
Going to try this tonight 😂❤thank you!!
I retired from working from for dermatologists. #1 product they always recommended was Cerave & EltaMd products.
I wasn’t much into makeup, lotions, etc. Always just used soap & water. Was always getting complimented on how good my skin looked.
Fast forward to now. I use Cerave cream & love it!
My mother, who is 86, just uses coconut oil. She buys from Costco. Her skin is super soft. Has been doing this for years.
Wonderful. I never thought of coconut oil
I tried using coconut oil but my dogs would try liking my arms and legs. Lol. I do use it in the winter when my legs are covered with long pants. 😊
It is a wonderful, natural product. 😊

I am pretty sure that Walmart has their own version of Cetaphil. You can compare ingredients. Equate (Walmart) products tend to be way cheaper. If you have a Sam's Club membership, buying stuff like that in bulk (like a 3 bottle product) usually is way less per item. Dollar Tree tends to carry a lot of LOreal and Revlon. Baking soda is way cheaper to brush teeth, and naturally brightens them. Don't believe the lies about fluoride. I don't get cavities, and I grew up drinking well water. Strong 60 yr old teeth.
Thank you
Walmart does have Cetaphil generic. I actually use a generic cetaphil face wash I found at Big Lots. I agree with you on the Walmart Equate line of products and like the mouthwashes, collagen face cream and daily face moisturizer.
I'm going to assume you're lucky and don't have periodontitis (gum disease) that runs in your family, which is very much helped with fluoride, Listerine and a mouth rinse called CloSys. I no longer have gum bleeding, pocketing or get cavities as long as I keep using those rinses and brush twice a day with regular cavity fighting toothpaste, and I'm 70 years old. I don't need to see the dentist near as often. My dad and grandmother both had to have all their teeth removed before they turned 30 way back in the day, yet she lived to 96 and never once complained about her false teeth (which, like everything else, were probably better made back then than now). Dad was a drinker and died 10 years before he needed to, sorry to say. Baking soda can be too abrasive, and flossing like a maniac will not help gum problems, which many people have. The over-the-counter rinses I'm using were recommended by a dentist I went to some years ago and do clean and brighten my teeth also, which won't ever be bright white, since I refuse to give up my coffee or tea, lol. (Back when I was married for seven years, I lived in the country and did drink well water, and I don't know that it helped anything, lol. God knows, it sure did nothing for my hair). Whatever, everybody is different and what might work great for one person won't necessarily work for another.
My grand parents always only used a little baking soda to brush their teeth. They both had all their teeth when they passed away in their 90’s 😊
While decluttering I found some Paw Soother (for my dogs) made by Natural Dog Company, organic and natural ingredients. Decided to try it on my heels and it works great. 😂 So didn’t need to buy any heel moisturizer.
Thanks for sharing!!
Vaseline works, too!
I am a guy, and the only skincare I buy is generic Noxema. Every morning I rub it into my face and let it dry before applying shave cream and shaving. Afterwards, I apply a bit more. People are amazed at how well it's worked -- $2.97 at Walmart.
I love the smell of Noxema
Noxzema is great!
@@CentsibleLivingWithMoneyMom It still smells just like it did when our mothers bought it 50 years ago! 🥰
I used to always use a little noxema on my face until I met my husband. He can’t stand the smell. It reminded him of his great grandma. Lol. I like the scent actually 😊
I am not high maintenance but do love trying different drugstore brand cosmetics. I get my hair cut every 6 weeks then do it myself. I do not color it, did for years (always myself), happy with it salt and pepper the last 8 years or so.
I don’t buy clothing at dept stores like Penney’s or Dillards.
I do wear good shoes and like nice leather handbags.
I love the ponds moisturizer cream I buy the bigger size at Walmart it’s the cheapest in my area than other stores. I even use it on my kids, it last us about 3 months sometimes a little longer pending how dry are skin is
I don't buy any beauty items at all not in budget.
You're lucky that all the products you use are found in the drug store. I've tried using products I can buy over the counter, but I keep going back to a moisturizer that I must order. I save money by not using foundation. I'll use a tinted sunscreen. There are times that I want a little more coverage, but I don't have any foundation, so I'll put on a little powder. It works for me. Your skin is lovely, so continue what you're doing! Love to all, Linda 💕
I am allergic to cetaphil wash unfortunately.
But I always use oil of Olay skin cream for years.
Wonderful on my face and neck. I use the sensitive one.
@@sjbutler2330 Yes, I have sensitive skin, too.
You are right
Thanks for your tips! We need more people like you! Love your videos, keep up the good work! God Bless 🌟
Thank you! You too!
Great words of wisdom 💚 and I love your beautiful floral shirt 🌸🌷🌼
Thank you! 🤗
dont buy any of that stuff. no makeup no creams etc soap and water works very well
When you get to a certain age, believe me you will need some kind of body cream!
@@sjbutler2330
Boy, that’s for sure ! I never needed lotion till going thru menopause and then all of a sudden my skin got so dry ! I don’t even buy lotions… I go straight to the creams and oils ! 😮
I buy what I can from Dollar Tree, and the remaining from Walmart or Target. I don't know how to go any lower than that. I don't use that use, so it lasts a long time.
I buy store brand Beauty products from our local Mennonite run discount store. I’ve gotten foundation that’s $12 at Walmart for $1.99. And there’s nothing wrong with them. I don’t see expiration dates. Sometimes the manufacturer just changes their packaging. 😊
Some times I’ll wear mail polish and I’ll get Essie brand (for an example) that’s $10+ at regular stores, that I pay $1 for at the discount stores.
I only go once a month and just buy what I’m low on. Doesn’t break the bank
I like your products, the classics are still the best, I buy a large jar of Aboilene makeup remover, usually every 2 year Walgreens has them bogo half price, the one jar lasts for over a year , I do this with my other staples, and instead of deodorant I use Burts Bees Baby powder, no harsh chemicals and the bottle lasts for months. For facial moisturizer I buy organic almond oil, Liz Taylor used it, she had beautiful skin, use less then a teaspoon and its so soft and smells wonderful, good video
I save buy buying what I know works for me, not getting a cheaper brand or a different brand name.
Sounds good
Me, too! Much cheaper in the long run.
💙💙💙
I have an Ulta down the street from me. They have quality merchandist. However, I don't buy in there. They are too expensive. My go to for about everything is The Dollar Tree.
I do have to have cetaphil, I buy in the two pack from Costco, lasts forever. I also buy sensodyne, I buy when target has their sales, and I use a lot of that. I buy a medicated shampoo because I think I have psoriasis on my scalp. The Walmart generic works. I only wash my hair every 5-7 days. I don’t go through many lotions anymore. When I was working, and I touched paper after washing my hands from the bathroom, it was like chalk on a chalkboard. But I don’t touch paper now, so I don’t need all that lotion.
I’m retired I don’t wear makeup. No one cares, and I buy all my otc meds as generics at Walmart. I don’t take a lot of Vitamins, maybe occasional d or b, might buy those at Costco. Oh I use ivory shower wash from Walmart. Cheap and no sensitivity issues, the free gift from BBW is enough lotion for me from candle day and semi annual sale.
I buy nothing at dollar tree and I don’t spend anywhere near $500 a year. I do shell out for hand sanitizer. I keep a big one in the car and another at home. For my lips one year I bought these cheap lip glosses for like preteens or something on a really good sale after Xmas for like 10 in the pack. I had to go searching for them this year cause they were running out. Still only like 5.99. I really love them.
Sounds great
Great video, would like to see more like this ❤
I used a crystal stone deodorant. It doesn't contain aluminum. It looks like a transparent rock, it is applied to the underarms by rubbing it on after the shower. It is not an antiperspirant but since I dont perspire a lot, it is not a problem for me. I have been using the same crystal for 10 years, it cost me $6. It has gotten smaller but it lasted a long time. I dont have to use it everyday, sometimes I can last 3 days without having to use it.
I have used the ordinary deodorant on vacation and I didn't,t like the sensation , it made me itch. I much prefer the crystal.
Great video. I don’t buy a lot of beauty stuff at DT. I am having issues for the last year with BBW products, except the body sprays ( which last forever ), the hand soaps and lotions I cannot use as I seen to be having an allergic reaction ( severe hand itching). I have been buying Softsoap or Goose Creek hand soaps. Gold Bond or Hemo’s are my fav hand lotions. I use a combo of Sephora and drug store makeup, drug store body wash and Amazon, Sephora and drug store hair products. I use Morrocan oil in my hair from Sephora. It is wonderful and smells amazing.
I love good smells
Love all the tips
Glad you like them!
I stick to a couple of specific brands, even if they are more expensive, because a) I will use them and b) my skin is sensitive and gets red/broken out when I go rogue. It's better to buy what you will actually use than experiment and buy things because they are cheap, but then you never use them. I stick to Olay Foaming Face Wash to wash my face and neck, and Crabtree and Evelyn Gardener's Hand Therapy for lotion. I like the smell and it's not greasy at all. If I need face lotion, I use either Olay Complete or CeraVe face lotion, depending on what is on sale, and get the one with sunscreen in it.
I only buy what i need to use. Like the knock off face wash at the dollar tree. Theres two there. The other is a face scrub im about to try. I also get the knock off lotion there, too. Thats the cheapest ive found than at other places. I use to wear make up, but due to staff infections i easily get and depression, i havent worn make since my twenties.
I use coupons and rewards points at certain stores. Plus wait till the items I need are on sale. There are UA-camrs and Facebook groups who show you how to get the best deals at certain stores.
I’m trying to go thru my stocked up items. One of those is a big box of different bars if soap. We have shower gel but I’m dragging out the soaps too. 😊
My lip gloss is a little stick of Vaseline. But I rarely use that.
I do buy random body products at our discounted store. It’s a very inexpensive way to try new things because those items are near the “best by” date.
Sounds great!
I absolutely agree with you, Dawn, in regard to Revlon lipstick. When I was younger I bought many different brands in colours (that's Canadian spelling! 😘🥰) I liked. For the past decade and a half, I have only bought Revlon. It IS the best! And, yes, it lasts a very long time. Good video! Thanks! 🥰
Thank you much
Bar of soap moisturiser
Volim svaki tvoj video , jer uvijek čujem neki pametni savjet.
I use coconut oil on my skin and Vaseline I use baking soda as a scrub. Best decision I ever made. It’s cheap and I no longer have issues with my skin.
Brilliant
I use dove bar soap for my face and take D 3 and fish oil I try to use coupon at dollar gw for 5 off 25 on Saturdays
Fantastic
I've used Ponds face cream for many years and still love it plus it is reasonably priced. I've always had clear skin so for the most part, I stopped wearing makeup back in my mid 20's although I still on occasion apply some eye color, liner, and some lip gloss. My daughter loves Bath and Body Works and always stocks up when everything is on sale. I never pay outrageous prices for any skincare products but I do buy good products and I use them carefully and on occasion, I get lucky and find items on sale.
For basic care, I buy soap, shampoo and lotion from Aldi. Also, I ask for these products at birthday and Christmas!
With makeup, I consulted my makeup guru, my Niece! She helped me pick inexpensive makeup from drugstore.
I only use dove products and I buy Avon..
I struggle with eczema and Bend goat milk soap has been a life-saver for my body, hands and face. We use to wash our hands and we use it in the shower. My husband also washes his hair with it.
Right now I'm saving on vitamins by buying a good quality multi vitamin. It does work!
That's great!
I discovered Ponds cold cream just a couple of years ago and it is the best skin care product i have ever used. It is also the most affordable! Thayers witch hazel is another good one, on sale.
Thanks for sharing!!
@@CentsibleLivingWithMoneyMom you’re welcome 🙂
I can get Bath and Body Works gift cards with my credit card points and then I use it at Christmas to stock up on the foaming soap. I get deals on shampoo and conditioner at Walgreens and hubby and I use Ivory soap on our bodies. I hardly wear make up.
Just before I go to bed, I like to rub Vaseline on my dry feet, and then put on loose white cotton socks. In the morning, the Vaseline has absorbed into my skin and my feet feel soft and smooth. I, also, shop the sells and often purchase generic brands that work as well as the name brands. Thanks for sharing.
Great tip!
U can use your OTC card from supplemental insurance to buy many things you need like for your first aid kit. I have to wipe sides of my nose bcuz even at almost 70 years old I have oily skin.
Dove bar so is the best I have been using it for years
I'm going to get some Pond's. My mother and aunt always used that and their skin looked great until very old age. Also, my doctor wants me to take extra calcium and magnesium in addition to a multi-vitamin, so I talked to a pharmacist at Target and he told me theirs was just the same as any name brand, and a lot less expensive. That's what I bought.
❤❤❤
I like baby wash diluted with a little water for a gentle face cleanser.
Dollar Tree has Ponds and Dove moisturizer.
Research facial "slugging"with Vaseline; some say that it's a very effective moisturizer & under eye treatment. It's petroleum-based, but petroleum is in alot of beauty products.
I use the bubbles from my shampoo(Vo5) while washing my hair on my face. I don't know if it's good to do that, but I have been doing it for decades during my am shower. I buy a tub of Vaseline for my knee, elbows, and heels and cuticles once a year. I use homemade deodorant ( 2 cups of cornstarch 1/2 cup of baking soda) . My dental hygienist recommended Aim (which is dirt cheap) , and she said ' all the rest is just marketing'. Sorry for rambling ❤!😅😊
Thanks for sharing!!
Palmers raw shea butter is another great moisturizer and very reasonably priced.
I set aside a certain amount and I also have a CVS Care pass where I get charged $5 a month and I get to spend $10 in store and I most times wait for the item to go on sale and most times I can get it for totally 0 oop and that makes the $5 totally worth it
Great deal
I use beekman 1802 products. There bar soap lasts forever (literally months)and makes my whole body soft and moisturized. I have their day and night products, purchased on clearance. Have their face masks. Only use the night/day/face masks when I do a spa day for myself. Once a month. Great products. I only get them on clearance.
Wal-mart sells Equate Sensodine and it's just as good as the name brand. I get lots of soap, lotion and body wash that people just give to me. I don't need to buy any for a long time.
Good to know
Thanks for posting this.
You're welcome

I coupon at CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid. I get great deals on toiletries and household goods. When you combine the sales with their rewards and coupons and rebate apps like Ibotta and Fetch you can get stuff cheap and free.
I haven’t needed to do skin care, I was blessed. I’ve noticed lately I could start using some moisturizer

Happy sunday dawn❤
Hi friend
I have to be very careful about trying new products on my face because my skin is so sensitive. I have recently added something new to my skin care. Waiting to see if my skin will accept it. 🤣
Great tip!
I buy the same brand of beauty and personal care products and only buy it when it is on sale for half price .
Smart
Oh, I love this! I've been trying to reduce my spending in this area, but it's tough because a lot of products trigger migraines for me, so if I find something that works, I stick to it even if it is a bit pricey 😬
I totally understand
Nice
Thanks
Hey Dawn ~ did you know you can buy Sensodyne at the Dollar Tree? My dentist told me about it.
It is an off brand
Hi lady. I use one of those little 1" x 1" alcohol pads used for injection site cleansing...70% isopropyl alcohol. I use that all over my entire face, mostly in T-zone.
I buy in bulk mostly from costco. The cetaphil wash and cerave cream. Dove bar soap again costco. I bought in bulk on clearance from walmart sunscreen and body lotion . thats it. Oh and bodycology spray. Thats it. If i dont smell good enough , dont smell me lol great video

The secret movie stars use for wrinkles/moisturize : Vaseline.
Why did you stop your weight vlog update I enjoyed it
I may bring it back
I don't buy any make up or beauty creams or bodywash. We use Irish Spring bath soap and VO5 shampoo and conditioner 22 oz $1.25 at Dollaer Tree. Deodorant Secret 24 hr on sale. That's all.
MM, do you rinse off the Ponds? Or just leave it on?
Rinse it off
Sorry not a fan of cheap beauty products. I do like Cetaphil cleanser & Revlon lipstick. I also like alot of the Ordinary skin care, but that's about it.
I use Revlon also because it doesn’t dry out my lips.
