Suggestion for those just starting out. To practice cutting glass buy clear greenhouse glass. its consistent thickness, comes in easily handled sizes, is more readily available than stained glass and of course is less expensive. Have seen many beautiful projects made of just clear glass.

Hi! So my one biggest dilemna with starting glass is figuring out how to set up a grinder for sanding the edges smooth at home. Is there a good option for that?

was wondering if wearing any form of glove is worth it? does it reduce dexterity? is there a material tactile enough that's cut resistant?
how do you not get shards in your fingers or is an occupational hazard?
    I'm so invested

Gloves make it more difficult to work with the glass but I rarely get any cuts!

working with glass is kinda like sewing. like you dont get stabbed with the needle often even tho you can get finger protectors!

I wonder if this might work for ceramic tile as well. (I have my doubts.)

only problem is probably the weight, if they were very thin and small piece and you were meticulous about the soldering then maybe?
