- The 2000’s were a great time for diecast, but how does it fair to the cars we go nuts for today?!?

Very cool video diecash cars
Oh yeah, i do have some Muscle Machines RX-8 and Skyline Hakosuka in my childhood and i played it a lot and i have fun with it.
Nice comparison congrats.👍
The 2000's were WAY better than now! I've been collecting since the 1990's and the hunt and rewards were much more fulfilling back then.
That Acura NSX is badass, the only thing I didn’t like were the wheels/tires
Yea is nice, had this since my childhood believe it or not
I still have a modifier CRX still sealed in the package
Had no idea about Muscle Machines, thought they only did the Tooned type, and were a newer brand. 🤷♂️
Early 2000’s has my vote for sure!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I'll always say early 2000s even 2000 - 2010 were the best times for diecast. It just doesn't hit the same even tho I got back into collecting in February of this year.
Early 2000s of diecast era was not popular in my country(Philippines) because some of the hobbyist here are focused on Japanese branded
toys like Tamiya, Zoids, Beyblade, etc because of the influence of Anime.
I collect Muscle Machine, mostly the 50s and 60s CARtoon style. They look like the art from CARtoon and HotRod Cartoon magazines, I used to buy and read in the 1970s,80s and 90s. The car culture counterpart to MAD Magazine 😁
i still collect the jada import racers series and they are so nice, the detail is amazing!
I believe that era of muscle machines was also the only way to get a a is300 for the longest time. Excited to see hotwheels finally coming out with a proper one soon👍🔰🔥
Early 2000s muscle machines and jada were just works of art. I'm pretty sure both companies have been bought out which is why the quality has greatly diminished
I forgot Muscle Machines made real-looking cars, not just cartooned versions of cars.
Yea they did and they were really detailed…wish this version of MM came back!
The 2000s were a very different time for collecting. I have a premium Hot Wheels Ferrari (Auto Affinitiy "Got Speed" 360 Modena) from 2004 that I bought from a Sears Canada (RIP) store in 2006 and it's gotten several marked down price stickers on it meaning it was quite a pegwarmer. A pegwarmer that stayed on pegs for around two years. And there were more than one of that Ferrari at the store because the one I still have carded was the second one I bought, a week or two after the first one that I opened.
Could you imagine, should circumstances change regarding the Ferrari license (which I suspect will happen soon), a premium Hot Wheels Ferrari being a pegwarmer today? It would be absolutely preposterous.
An underappreciated Hot Wheels line from 20-plus years ago was 100% Hot Wheels which was essentially RLC quality at retail. These days, the closest thing that exists is Elite64 but those are only sold online.
How much were Modifiers selling for when they first hit market? They are kind of expensive right now on the secondary market.
They were $3-4….maybe $8-9 in todays retail market. I bought my 2 for $30 a piece
I don't think we will ever see this in muscle machines today this is why I think the 2000 muscle machines are going to be hard to find and super collectables because they don't make them anymore
JUST GET GET PAST THE LARGER SCALE AND CHUNKINESS. Makes the rest of the collection looks weird lol
Didn’t know about that nsx🥰💦🥵🥵
