U forgot the halo car
Alright.
I have
One MASSIVE line not mentioned are the monster trucks hotwheels makes for Monster Jam. Seriously, there's so many of them.
Yeah i love monster jam too, maybe ill talk about them someday
As a Monster Jam fan, Hot Wheels will always have an important legacy in collector's collections, and even when it competed. Sad Spin Master took over for Monster Jam, but at least Mattel has their own brand.
My name❤
I remember seeing them in stores and I thought they make the cars into reality not knowing that Monster Jam is an establish thing..
at home i have roller toaster, purrfect speed, sharkruiser, golden batmobile
I can't be autistic about transformers AND hot wheels man, I'm gonna turn into a car liker and lose my queer card
Bro, same thing here
“I believe I’ve made myself clear, *SHIFTING SFX*” got me way too good😂😂
I like to see the Twin Mill and the Bone Shaker as sort of "friendly rivals". I put those two cars side by side and I just get that friendly rivalry vibe.
To put it simply, The Bone Shaker is the Ken Masters to The Twin Mill's Ryu.
Then there's the Rodger Dodger. Definitely in my top 3 Hot Wheels car designs.
Polygon Donut could talk about… I don’t know, Heinz Ketchup for twenty five minutes and it would still be interesting.
Pongon better make this
you're saying that as it ketchups aren't interesting
New dolygon ponut video confirmed? 🤨
Same with air
PURPLE KETCHUP!?
Fun toy history fact: Mattel was one of the first brands to revolutionize the new era of toys. Most toys before this were more things to fiddle with, like yo-yos and slinkies. Mattel brought in toys that were actually meant for something, like toy cars and the famous Mattel thunder-burp, the first toy gun ever, and the marking of the start of the new era. I actually have one! So yeah there’s a quick history lesson Yall :)
Hi
thunderburp sounds like a disney sitcom
What a shitty name for such a world-first lmao
I'm sure that dolls and action figures already existed. As did OTHER explicitly "toy" vehicles.
They didn't make nothin' new, they just gave it a kick in the ass is all.
Who tf even Reed the whole thing
This video was my introduction to the channel, and lemme just say it’s wholesome af, love every minute of every video; it’s serotonin for me, thank you for the fun content
The fact that Donut put atombomb baby in the background for the beginning was amazing and reminded me of fallout 4
i lov fallout 4
@@PolygonDonut honestly one of the most replayble games out there
@@PolygonDonut Me too 😄
I love the combination of actual information and insanity

“I believe I’ve made myself clear”
**hot wheels car turns clear**
That stuff funny as HECK
oh hello there
9:02 I got touhoued
My son just turned 2 and is OBSESSED with Hot Wheels. He has 3 different tracks, monster truck HW, and a case that holds 100. Hes missing his first handful just cause he plays hard with them.
Oh my fucking god the nostalgia, the memories. I used to collect tons of hot wheels cars when i when younger, and i have like 400+ of them stored inside my closet in a huge box. I remember my young-self liked way more realistic/down-to-earth design cars rather than the goofy ahh ones.
I have an entire box of 'em
They are not in good condition because
They are stored in one place.
Goofy ahh ones 😆
i only have 5, jealous
I had like 3 100-car boxes but the goofy ahh cars were my favorites
Damn, I have in total like 31 cars, and I have never once buy a realistic car because I've always thought to myself "if I wanted to realistic cars, I would've bought matchbox"
Someone needs to make a 13 hour documentary about every hotwheel
I WOULD IF I HAD THE TIME
What you do
As a hotwheels collector, I agree
@@PolygonDonut then have the time
If we're adding construction toys into the mix, how long do you reckon that segment would be?
As someone who always loved the real world inspired cars but with exaggerated features.
Those collab designs got me laughing my ass off like HOLY.
Always liked Cat-a-Pult. A rather heavy car with such compact design kinda fascinated me.
I remember one of my friends throwing a ton of hot wheels in the air for no apparent reason and how the little metal cars started raining down, crashing on my and my best friend's face and head. still haunts me to this day 10/10 would recommend
Sounds kind of painful
@@therunawaykid6523 dont worry! it very much was!
7:07 "KITTY HOT WHEEL, MEEOOOOO-"
i love how they go from real and Concept cars to just out of shape and wild cars in the form of animals and objects. Sometimes there even aircraft and Boats and for me I need more of those.
*NEW* hotwheels:making basic and modern vehicles than epic ones
*OLD* hotwheels:making weird vehicles that were so badass and epic collabs
So about the hot wheels eggos,
They actually existed, I actually ended up having my mom buy them at a walmart sometime when I was really young, like pre-school and kindergarden levels of young when I was obbsessed with hot wheels as a toddler.
The box was the exact same as in the picture, with the two eggo hot wheels in the picture on every single waffle.
I legit forgot about this until this video came up too which goes to show how obscure the eggos were.
They existed at some point 100% sometime in the late 2000's.
Was the taste different?
@@HuskyGamersUNITE yea for some reason I thought collab version taste better but no just the box
i also remember seeing a pack of theese in my freezer when i was six i am 12 currently so i am thinking they are from 2017 or 2016
i remember them tasting like regular waffles and me being dissapointed
The funny thing is, i was into hotwheels less but into lego more, so i ate the lego eggos at one point in my life
I love how half of these clips contain 10 total pixels, really adds to the aesthetic
Speed racer is unironiclly my favorite movie, I’ve watched it since I was three
2:37 i gagged at that 60 fps gif
Oh my god nostalgia. I still have like 5 buckets of hot wheels in my bedroom (some are other brands, but most are hot wheels) and when i saw some that i own i was like “hey! I know that one!”
brooooo same
Same.
Bro I have 4 king sized containers and all that's in there is hot wheels and hot wheels tracks.
Bruh i have around 75 of them and a lot of them are from 1996-2019 boxes
The Thomas Car (Loco Motorin’) is so cool. It was released exclusively in 2020 to celebrate 75 years of the Railway Series, the book series the Thomas the Tank Engine show is based on. It’s by far my favourite fictional Hot Wheel design.
Yes, I like that one, too.
Same
Eh. The Rail Rodder was a lot more badass. You want a cool as hell HW train though, look up the West Coast Flyer under the Rapid Transit line.
3:32 NASCAR fan here. That is the exact paint scheme used by Ricky Craven driving in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2002 to 2004. He had only two wins and not a lot of good finishes, but had one memorable finish in particular. In the final laps of the 2003 Carolina Dodge Dealers 400, Ricky Craven ran down race leader Kurt Busch getting side by side with him coming out of the last turn. Craven beat Busch to the finish line by only 0.002 seconds. It was the closest finish in NASCAR history at the time and is still tied for that honor.
My favorite Hot Wheels to collect are off road vehicles and big ass trucks. I got a Dodge Macho Power Wagon with Batman on the side and a super cool Dodge Challenger with an American flag paint job and the engine jutting out of the hood. And an all silver Suberu BRAT. Those are some of my faves and I keep them on my dresser.
Now I’m interested in the Hot Seat with the rat and the Sudster with the crocodile. Thanks for bringing those to my attention!
Polygon is definitely one of my favorite youtuber because of the *wacky* edits and stuff
He sounds like he’s smiling when he speaks in his videos
@@slam.p i suspect that he actually does
@@slam.p you can hear that he's enjoying the subject he's talking about! I wish all UA-camrs would be more like him!

not to mention his sudden catgirl transformations
I 100% remember the hot wheels pop tarts, they had a literal print of a hot wheels car on them similar to how a birthday cake or something would be, it would get all smudged up when your 8 year old hands or mouth ran across it. I remember they also had a Halloween theme one with the same idea. Completely forgot all about these until I saw them again

ive seen your profile pic and it funni
I love the food ones haha. Donut Drifters, Street Weiners, Roller Toasters, such fun names and wackey designs. Also the animal ones, my black Scorpedo with red wheels and window glass is a total villain.
The cool part about the wheelchair car is it’s based off the wheelchair used by wheelz, a professional stuntsman in the Nitro Circus
I found this guy yesterday and I'm loving this man's energy.
Yeah he’s so hype 😳😳
This isn't even like his normal form normally he's even more chaotic LOL
Same
He's got that charismatic energy.
Is he a man?
8:12 they totally missed the opportunity to make a Big Mac Buns of Steel
But that was back in the day.
"I believe I made myself clear"... Daaaamn that triple invisibility pun hit me like a truck
I love the absurd designs, all of them, so remarkable
In the late 90's/ early 2000's Hotwheels was heavily involved in NASCAR merchandise at the time and had a few collabs. Some were pretty tame like putting race car designs on vintage cars, but others were WAY out there, like putting designs on golf carts, Radio Flyer wagons, Helicopters, RVs, ATVs, school busses, boats, and just about everything else that moves
I found at a local craft store, the Richard Petty Team 43 RV model.
I had a hotwheels nascar car and a hotwheels train
I love listening to polygon ramble about things you can tell he cares about a lot. Keep doing what you love

Fantastic video!!! I didn't know many of the ones you've shown and I love how your video covers pretty much the entirety of the Hot Wheels brand! Those final character cars are indeed pretty cursed lol. A weird original design that I always liked but never owned (but I might get one from ebay at some point) is the Zombot. Basically a (non articulated) robot with a gun that also has wheels behind his kneed and shoulders so he can roll like a car (if you did include it in your video I must have missed it). Lol at the Scooby Doo Batmobile.
The Twin Mill was and still is my favourite Hot Wheels car - amazing to see they made a life-size replica!
I think an underappreciated element of these things are the weird cars they make for the little track toys. You can get them dinosaur themed, there were cars specifically made for shooting at a shark, and I seem to vividly recall a line of more futuristic looking cars that were built to go down this little track thing built like a city with a giant guy that punched down some buildings or something on the track.
Another example could be those cars that would split in half on certain tracks, I forget the name of them though...
My favorite Hot Wheels line was the Acceleracers line. Not only on do the movies go hard, but the car designs goes so hard too.
The Teku with the sleek technological looking cars.
The Metal Maniacs with the aggresive designs.
The Racing Drones with the robotic transformers.
The Silencerz with the secret agent lab organization vibes.
Hey we same!
Also one thing
THEY LIGHT UP!!!
@@Madude62 the McDonalds ones
@@wakspacific6928 Sadly, the light version is cheaper than the original ones.
But I dont care, They are (the LED car) all cool af!
Same bro specially for the silencerz
This really brings me back to my childhood. I watched the World Race movie over and over again
i grew with these. what a nostalgia.
Silly hot wheels are one of the toys that defined my childhood. We got coupons for them all the time so my mom bought me at least one pretty much every week for several years, and I had hundreds at one point. Eventually Lego replaced hot wheels as my favorite toys, but they were still loved for many years. I get nostalgia every time I see kids playing with hot wheels cars now :)
I remember back in 2005 or something mcdonalds had a line of hot wheels cars that were super high quality and had lights in them.
Like they actually included a toy that was probably close to the value of a regular happy meal itself, I was pretty amazed as a kid tbh.
Was it the Acceleracers cars?
@@spidertron575 yes they were!
@@johnturner3455 Knew it
WHAT?! HIGH QUALITY HAPPY MEAL TOYS?!
I still have a few light light up cars from around that time and I still remember running them on my tracks in the basement with the lights off.
Super Nostalgic!, I Always Play That When I Was A Kid!
I have a massive collection of hot wheels, ranging from the 1970s to now, and I've come across some weird ones recently 😅
The sidekick, introduced in 1972, is my oldest hot wheel, and it's pretty weird. ABOVE the passenger seat there is a massive engine, I wouldn't be surprised if it was supposed to be a V18 or something, and it has a driver's seat on a metal panel that slides outside of the car. (The "Sidekick" part)
Holy shit, I used to have one of those rare McD's variants, specifically the Lightning Speed one at 8:25. I think I buried it in my grandparents' old backyard somewhere in my old hometown.
So maybe someone will find an valuable treasure somewhen.
I have Lightning Speed.
Thats why those toys just disapear into the void lmao, we be doing sum crazy shit with them

Also like your video, straight to the point, all the interesting facts we need and not dragged out!
1:45 Me too! I have the Spilittin Image since 2008. With the same painting as your!
9:10 I think it did. I do remember my parents coming home with something that looked like this before
Someone clip the Pongon 'YIPEE!' ( 7:14 )
Once i underestimate the donut racer then after i realized he’s the best on the track, love him
I wasn't a big collector of Hotwheels but when I was growing up, I had something similar they were called Disney Racers and they also had weird designs maybe that could be an idea for another video someday.
I literally enjoyed everything about this video, I even enjoy that you had hot wheels world race footage in the background
Thank you!!!!
6:41 when the Hot Wheels gets forklift certified
I remember the "Boy or Girl" Happy Meals in McDonalds in the UK. I always got the Hot Wheels (always wanted the Barbie toys but was too scared to ask) and I remember some of them had a single piece of track with them that didn't connect to any other set...so weird. :')
I love how World Race OST is playing in the background.
fun fact: the laser microwave clip is from styropyro (named after how napalm is made I think) in which he absolutely toasted a piece of bread using high powered lasers uwu
cool i just found it on twitter i didnt know that
I was big into Hotwheels in the early to mid 2000's. I had, like, 10 of those "fatbacks" and other wacky designs like models that looked like they were raindrop versions of older models or bulbous, cartoony versions. I had ones that transformed into skateboarding robots with guns. I had tiny little magnetic ones that had tiny magnetic sets and tracks.
But my weirdest "normal ones" where a blimp and a helicopter. Yeah... Don't know why I bought those.
My favorite is, and forever will be, the Maelstrom. With the Vulture as a close second.
Sadly, I moved when I turned 18 and my (admittedly not very well taken care of) collection was lost in the transfer somehow. The only one I still have is my old, blue Maelstrom that I had kept in my pocket.
Thanks for reading all that! God bless you!

The carbonator was one of my favorite cars ever. I was really used to play with my cars as Speedracer live action races amd the carbonator have a lot of speedracer 2008 moovie's cars vibes
Back in the far back year of 2003, hot wheels made possibly the best children's movie ever (despite the ps2 lookin ahh graphics), Hot Wheels Highway 35. I found it on vhs at a thrift store when i was 2 years old, back in 2007, and honestly not only did it get me into hot wheels, but is probably the sole reason i love cars so much. Even if you don't care about hot wheels I'd still recommend you give this movie (and it's sequel series, Acceleracers) a watch.

As a HW collector and a lover of memes I can tell you that this video is everything I could ask for, shoutout to my boys the Fatbaxs!!! Back in 2004 I got at least 4 of those cars, I really loved how absurd they were, the green Silhouette is my favorite. Also shoutout to the Super Treasure hunt line, rubber is very important. The cars have rubber wheels and shiny paint and can be found hidden in the same boxes as the regular cars, it's always fun to go out hunting and see what you can find
thank you :)) I will make more hotwheels videos soon about other things
@@PolygonDonut Yoooo, more Hot Wheels videos? I'm in!!
Treasure hunting has become my latest obsession and I blame yall for it lmao. Approximately one in 10,000 cars is an ultra rare Treasure Hunt or Super Treasure Hunt variant with fancy paint and tires, they're just randomly hidden among boxes of HW cars. It's like hunting for shiny pokemon in real life. Help me.
@@LuvzToLol21 Unless they changed it, one in every 15 boxes should have a Super TH and each box of 72 cars has a basic TH, a couple of weeks ago I went hunting for fun and found two basic TH I didn't have! 8:33 I actually have one of these. My grandfather gave it to me when I turned 12.
WHAT?!?! ME TOO!!! MY GRANDMA GAVE IT TO ME WHEN I WAS 7!!!!!!!!
I always had some affection for hot wheels. Then for a long time I was more into action figures but when Hot Wheels got the Batman/DC license I struck out to keep an eye out for any Batmobile hanging on the pegs. I briefly got deep into character cars, Marvel and Star Wars. Then I remembered loving the Street Beasts/Creature Car models, and started picking them up. Fast forward to 2024, I have settled into maintaining any Batmobile mold getting grabbed, still get Street Beasts, and shifted into going big on Corvettes, Porsche, and Jeeps, and while picky, love 60s/70s/80s vintage models. Often muscle cars or american sports cars.
Whippcreamer was my favourite as a kid. My brother bought one for me last Christmas so we won’t have to argue over who gets the original from our childhood

I KNEW THEY EXISTED YES!!!!
i played with hotwheels so much and remember having some rare ones, but i got rid of most of them and i regret doing that so much now. Ive bought a couple new ones just for nostalgia. Loved those things
I had a Lightning Speed as a kid that I must have got from a Happy Meal way back in 95 (when I was nearly 4) but my mum crushed it one day to punish me for breaking something of hers, which really sucked.
Still kept it and played with it for years even though the cool see-through canopy was all cracked.
Decades later I finally got a new one on eBay. Yay.

The Carbonator just reminded me of a game I used to play on the HotWheels website as a kid. The goal was to mix different ingredients, including soda, to create a fuel to propel your car in a drag race. Ironcially, I don't think Carbonator was in it
One time my younger brother bought me a Dragon Blaster Hot Wheeks which was purple with orange wings (similar to Spyro) and he was unaware it was a Treasure Hunt and wanted it back lol

I grew up during the "Beat That" and Battle Force 5 eras of Hot Wheels from the mid-2000s into the early 2010s. Always good to see more Hot Wheels content on the site. Never see a lot of it unfortunately.
8:40 Double Cross was actually released three times; 1999, 2002, and 2003. The one you show off is the 2002 version.
I think I had that Double Cross from McDonald's. On the subject of non-car Hot Wheels, I distinctly remembered getting a Hot Wheels snowmobile as a gift to cheer me up one time when I was sick as a kid. When I tried to find pictures of it online I did come across several different snowmobiles that Hot Wheels released over the years, but not the one I had. Come to find out mine was the Matchbox version. Even as a small child, I couldn't help but notice how t h i c c the rider of said toy snowmobile was.
