I'm am older woman. Many my age not listening to much in the way of new music. This guy gets to me like no other. There are people whose feelings are not real. They can walk away from relationships and friendships like it is no big deal. They lose people and pets and life goes on like no big deal. They're cold. Life is easier for them. I sort of envy them in a lot of ways. Tom sings what's in the heart of the rest of us.
This could have been a banger if he had released it and not given it to JC! 100 percent in my top 5 Tom Odell songs! Is there a way we can get it back to him looool 😂
I'm not trying to be clever But you said we'd last forever Like the birds and bees But we're really nothing more Than the future that they sold In the old movies Bullet trains, too late Sonic planes flying straight into the sun [Chorus] You have come and gone Now you're just a number on my telephone Just another reason for my valium, oh love Was that what you want? [Verse 2] I found that picture in my pocket Should I keep it, should I lock it, right away from you? I guess it's just a girl and boy Another broken polaroid We threw away too soon And like a music star Your life fell apart Tonight singing your song You have come and gone Now you're just a number on my telephone Just another reason for my valium, oh love Was that what you want? Tell me are you feeling bad? If you heard this on the radio would it make you sad? Maybe I should fill it up with pretty words, so wrong You have come and gone Yes, I guess you were the best but that I can't confess Unless you want me too Time, it takes a little while It tells you that you're fine Even if it ain't true You've come and gone Now you're just another of my saddest songs Just another reason for my valium, oh no Was that what you want? But tell me are you feeling bad? If you heard this on the radio would it make you sad? Maybe I should fill it up with pretty words, so wrong You have come and gone Time goes on You have come and gone
@@panagiotisnikolakopoulos732 My heart broke when I found out. Anyway, I trust Tom and he must have had his good reasons. But this will only ever be the version I am in love with, with his piano and his voice
@@panagiotisnikolakopoulos732 I think the same, this song is a masterpiece that would undoubtedly have been a huge success. And I don't know if you know, but he let Jc Stewart release also another one of his songs, "Friday Night"..
@@panagiotisnikolakopoulos732 I don't know, maybe he just doesn't care about the financial aspects. And fortunately, because this allows him to be spontaneous and different from the other songwriters

A very strong song. Sometimes it seems to me that most things in this world are just like chasing the wind. 😢❤️❤️❤️
I can't believe that he still hadn't finished this song 😢😢😢😢

Absolutely agree. This would've been one of his greatest tracks!
Who is jc
I'm not trying to be clever
But you said we'd last forever
Like the birds and bees
But we're really nothing more
Than the future that they sold
In the old movies
Bullet trains, too late
Sonic planes flying straight into the sun
[Chorus]
You have come and gone
Now you're just a number on my telephone
Just another reason for my valium, oh love
Was that what you want?
[Verse 2]
I found that picture in my pocket
Should I keep it, should I lock it, right away from you?
I guess it's just a girl and boy
Another broken polaroid
We threw away too soon
And like a music star
Your life fell apart
Tonight singing your song
You have come and gone
Now you're just a number on my telephone
Just another reason for my valium, oh love
Was that what you want?
Tell me are you feeling bad?
If you heard this on the radio would it make you sad?
Maybe I should fill it up with pretty words, so wrong
You have come and gone
Yes, I guess you were the best but that I can't confess
Unless you want me too
Time, it takes a little while
It tells you that you're fine
Even if it ain't true
You've come and gone
Now you're just another of my saddest songs
Just another reason for my valium, oh no
Was that what you want?
But tell me are you feeling bad?
If you heard this on the radio would it make you sad?
Maybe I should fill it up with pretty words, so wrong
You have come and gone
Time goes on
You have come and gone
I think it's should I lock it from view. That's what I hear.
Oh my goodness
This song is so good it makes me curse
