Came here to post this. This is like the 4th version of this band and while the sound has changed a little it has been subtle and over time and their catalogue is very consistent. Great band!
I prefer the sound they had with O'God the Aftermath and Bless the Martyr. Everything after that is when their sound changed into more so of what it is today.
I don’t think they have a bad album from all the years listening to them. I was thinking the new members probably bring a new fresh element to the writing process.
This is probably the most challenging single from all three. It is cause how really odd and multi-layered everything is. Corys vocals are over the whole place, but not in negative way, he has such odd presence in the first verse. The chorus has clean vocals, but i have to say, what i love about it, how shadowy it sounds. It does not have that typical catchy feeling, like when Slipknot has forced harmonies for more radio sound. The melodic chorus has its own context that works well for the song but there are no forced, annoying and cheap harmonies. The second verse is just pure, assaulting, demolishing and pissed off carnage. Bass is just deployed in the most unforgivable way i can imagine, i just want to throw myself across the room after that. The grooves are insane and i just love how much muscles they have. The sound is just physical. The odd ending with the small sample and buzz is just cool as fuck, it adds another layer! Great work dudes, this will be another 10/10 album hahaha. The consistency, passion and emotional intensity/creativity is mind blowing. And yeah, all hail for the interaction with fans! The last thing; the guitars are so well crafted with all kind of textures, noises, layers and feedbacks, it will take some time to grasp all of it. The drum fills are just hammering and exotic in the best way possible!
holy shit.... what an incredibly well thought out comment, you put to words what I was trying to figure out alone in my head. You hit the nail on the head with every line of this comment. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
@@Lu_Cidtrip when they deployed the beefy bass in the second verse, it was like a shot from a god damn canon!! and thanks man, it is nice to see passionate fans!
Killer review dude. Completely agree; we don't have to be so nervous about his melodic vocals anymore. Last 2 albums his singing has added to the intensity of a song rather than subtracted from it. Wish Corey Taylor could learn this lesson
okay okay okay...so....the last time I listened to you guys was when I was a kid, probably about 10 years old, 18 years ago. And that was "Memphis will be laid to waste" THIS IS AMAZING
This album might actually make Redeemer blush. The raw intensity and puritanical rage really comes through sonically in the most authentic way possible. It’s heartening to see bands like this put out their best work this far into their careers.
As much as i love everything from this band, Redeemer is unbeatable in my opinion, mainly the one take vocals and the mixing is just beyond. But you know, most of their albums are like 10/10 for me, so they have insane consistency and no bad songs or fillers.
As someone who’s been a fan of these guys since they were around in the old Underoath, Every Time I Die, The Chariot sorta days, these guys just genuinely never disappoint, ever, and this proves that. That breakdown was fucking wild
From the first day I heard them years ago I new this band will be my number one forever. Never dissapoint, never compromise, just doing their great job to be the one and the only Norma Jean. Still have a A4 poster signed after the gig. Corey, thanks for all those emotions!
Sleep calming stress and renews the mind for the time when we wake up from that sleep. Literally. Spirituality is made in sleeping through problems and waking up a new man/woman. Emotionally.
been listening to these guys since the mid 2000s.. was super into them in 2014, forgot about em for bit and just glad to see they've continued the dive into heavy insanity
I heard this song the first time recently on a Twitch livestream, it blew my mind, this song is such a great song, one of those songs that hit you very hard in the stomach and gives you goosebumps at the same time
Norma were so ahead of their time. Meridional would destroy if it dropped today. Can’t wait to watch them ascend to the top. So exciting that my favourite band still hasn’t peaked
I told myself I wasn't going to spoil this new album, but I honestly couldn't help myself. UA-cam keeps throwing it at me in my suggested. Also not a bad idea at all to hype up the album drop with some singles. I was just trying to see if I could hold out, but nah man. Was like a damn domino effect. First "Spearmint Revolt," then"Call for the Blood," and now this. BANGERS! Can't wait for the album!
A truly great band, I've been listening since the early 2000s and they never disappoint, special mention to the Meridional, Wrongdoers & Polar similar albums which I love (all are good though), looking forward to Deathrattle! Awesome live band too.
I've been listening to Norman Jean 2003! Next year will be 20 years they've been rocking in my life and I can't be more excited for their new album. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Hi, I saw this band in 2018 when they played their Redeemer tour, didn't think they could be more heavy, but then they released All Hail, and then apparently Deathrattle Sing For Me. I'm hoping they don't quit, but they're heavy as fuck.
Є старі групи які час від часу з'являються з новими кліпами і вони чи роблять геть ніяке чи попсіють, а є Norma Jean, дякую хлопці! Вітання вам з України в цей не простий для нас час
This further proves my thoughts that this album will be way more experimental (playing with song structures and dynamics) but I'll be damned if this isn't another banger of an album.... Great song and loving these singles
@@Lu_Cidtrip same here. I will admit i have been having to listen to the singles a few times to grasp everything that is going on. I'm sure there is gonna be a few jaw dropping surprises throughout the album
For the rotating door of members this band has had, they have stayed insanely consistent with their sound.

Cory is key of the sound
Cory is just so strong with his will to keep it alive and moving forward.
Cory _is_ NJ at this point, which is crazy considering he isn't even a founding member of NJ.
I prefer the sound they had with O'God the Aftermath and Bless the Martyr. Everything after that is when their sound changed into more so of what it is today.
norma jean ages like fine wine
this is so much norma jean
How does this band keep levelling up ? The Melodic chorus just hits so well and that breakdown blew my back out…. This new album is going to explode
It's just constantly good imo
By constantly replacing members? Lol
I don’t think they have a bad album from all the years listening to them. I was thinking the new members probably bring a new fresh element to the writing process.
I could not agree more. It's amazing what this band does and keeps doing
"blew my back out" respect for the middleagedcore among us

@@VopiscusGuitar !! and lets not forget about how much high tones Cory Brandan has. HOW he can do such range is beyond my rational understanding :D
I’m so happy Norma Jean is still making GOOD fucking music and keeping to develop their sound. The vocals are stellar. Long Live Norma Jean!

literally not one person who was involved in memphis is in this band now. its hilarious.

The Almighty never lets me down. Ever!
That breakdown 🤯

The vibe of this albumn is like an unregulated, super scary haunted house where they actually grab you.
So fucking sick.
To me, the vibe is more like inside some kind of water with the atmospheric parts.

This band ages like a fine wine. Wtf.
All these new NJ songs are so badass
Classics of Metalcore
I said it once I’ll say it again, the new NJ is my favorite
@GhostShelter never did care for the old stuff.
How is it possible for a band to stay ahead of its time throughout its entire life; each and every album? I dont understand. All Hail Norma Jean.
I knew this would be a banger as soon as I heard Corey’s “check check”
This band is officially GOATED
reminds me of later He is Legend... a lot... i love it
All hail!
He Is Legend vibes somewhat, love it!
their groove is out of this planet
The heavy bass rift in the middle is BANGIN’!!!!🤘🏼

This MIGHT take the place of Wrongdoers as my favorite!!!
Damn. Haven’t listened to this band in over a decade. Don’t remember them being THiS sick. Beautiful
Oh boy have you missed a lot!
Love that loosey goosey chord progression in the chorus.
Probably my favorite song out of all the songs they have released.
ALL HAIL
