Even though we’re DeWalt fans we don’t mind calling out tools.
The 20” Chain saw is OK. Many things could be changed. Should we do some in-depth reviews? We will stick with gas for now!

I have an 18-inch 60v dewalt saw, it goes through an entire 6ah flexvolt battery every 1-2 cuts of an 18inch diameter white oak. freshly sharpened chain too

I bought one not for this big shit... but for up to 6 inch or so works great .. mine is the 12 inch bar ....battery life is also good

Doesn't seem like the saw can take the 20inch bar

That looked a little weak for it to be a chainsaw

Uh, thats hardwood. A gas powered of the same comparison size/league would bog too.

That's why I prefer a smaller bar on it. Kobalt makes an 80volt that is a monster

@@imagino0010 well, since the saw has the torque you need to have good sharp teeth and the rakers/depth gages need to be taken down a little. If the chain is sharp and taking 50% deeper cuts it will remove material faster. I keep my rakers just below the file guide and even the old model flexvolt saw I have will just rip.

We have a few laying around but wanted to give this a go. We had a full day for 3 medium trees we knew we had it either way so it was a perfect day to test. Needless to say we will continue using our 2 strokes and have since.😂

Bar is far too big for the saw

what would be the proper size? and can you put another size bar on the machine and would it preform the same?

I'm considering one. I think replacing small engines is where electric motors really shine. I've gotta gas stihl I've used four times and it won't start... small gas engines always seem to have a lot of issues.
