I feel like some of those DPs from Ikan were meant to be shakus, but he got a misinput. If you do half-circle forward, but accidentally start at down-back instead of back, you can a get a DP if you were holding forward prior.

Had to look up Vendetta after he beat me on Elite Smash. I’m trying to learn Sora, and I took him to last stock. His confirms are freaking wicked, like I didn’t even know Ken could kill me in some of those ways. GG’s dude

In street fighter ken always had a better shoryu but ryu always had stronger fireballs and ryu tatsu is stronger but Ken's is better for combos I think it is the same in this game

shaku is meant to clash or lose to most fireballs but do more damage, while regular hadoken is meant to have more durability against most projectiles. It still clashes with Ken's hadoken though cause that true to Street Fighter.

kens not even that much better, ikan is just overall not at the level of vendetta and he would still probably lose to vendetta if he was playing ryu

I dunno man... I've always felt that Ken was just a power crept Ryu. His Shoryuken is insane.

Ken and Ryu are mostly even. The only difference is their prefered range.
Ryu does best at mid range where slow fireball is a great pressure tool and kara cancel tatsu becomes a serious threat if you can do it. Ken is best at close range, where his amazing combo game and mixups can rack up damage faster than almost any other character.
If the Ken can get close, Ken wins. He Ryu keeps distance, Ryu wins. The only tipping point that shifts this matchup slightly in Ken's favor is that Ryu has to get close at some point for a kill confirm, which is much more risky for Ryu than it is for Ken. (This can be mitigated by reaching tatsu percent and only going for kara cancel tatsu kills, but the execution and neutral dominance required for this makes it largely impractical, especially for long tournaments)
