Thank you for this. When I was a child my father used to tell us three stories. The sinking of the Tirpitz, Robin Hood and the mutiny on the Bounty. Always been interested in it since then.
You’re so welcome 😀 It’s a story so only became aware of the detail of, a couple of years ago when there was a Channel 4 series in which they recreated it as faithfully as possible. It was incredible.
This is such a fantastic story. I've been interested in this since I was a child and saw the movie with clark gable and Charles laughton. Thank you so much for the video 😊
It’s just so incredible isn’t it?! An ex SAS soldier, Ant Middleton recreated his journey; same boat type, number of men, lack of provisions, for a Channel 4 series a couple of years ago. It was absolutely fascinating!
@@BritishHistory I'm pretty sure it was Conrad Humphries, the sailor who was in the Americas cup races in plymouth a few years ago, then did that programme. Quite appropriate for it to have been in Plymouth sound!

@@Atumn-cgc perhaps theyve both done it? Or was he involved in Ant Middleton’s one?
