Thank you for posting. Driving up to the venue, I knew right away that this venue was not ready for this type of event. There was lots of traffic. I parked outside at a shopping center. I walked to the venue and saw one entrance marked 'Loges'. Since I didn't have loge tickets, I went to the main entrance where I saw hundreds of people waiting in line in that freezing cold. I tried to see if there were any signs to direct spectators based on their seating, but did not see any. Not wanting to get frostbite, I immediately got out of that crowd and decided I would go wait somewhere inside for about an hour until things cleared out. I ended up going into the Loge entrance. And guess what? That entrance was for both Loge and Amphiteatre ticket holders. I got in line, which was short at that time. I waited maybe 10 minutes, went through security and got in. So things went well for me. However, it would have been better for the center to actually put up clear signs clearly specifying where to enter. Turns out that the long wait outside was only for those with general admission tickets (glad I didn't get those tickets). The staff inside looked very inexperienced; many young employees. Security was lost too. I left Evenko a message letting them know of my experience. I also asked them to install water fountains. Not everyone feels like paying $4.75 for a small water bottle at the concession stands. Also, they need to cool down the water temperature at the water faucets; the temperature was scalding hot. And the toilets did not even flush. This place needs to get their act together and quickly or bands and fans will avoid it. It seemed it was badly planned as the location is extremely bad due to the small roads and nearby shopping center. There is more congestion here than at the Bell center downtown. Not sure what Laval engineers were thinking when they selected that location for this type of building. The power loss during the show was also unacceptable. They should have known the power requirements for this type of event and should have done some better testing prior to the show. I don't blame the band but maybe the tour manager should have insisted on better pre-show testing. Also, avoid buying level 200 seats as there is very little leg room and you get a pole jammed up against your legs. Poor design. It's a shame for such an expensive building. Again, not sure what kind of engineers they got to build this place. My suggestion for Evenko is to setup a new show sometime this summer at a better venue and offer every ticket-holder of this concert not one, but two free tickets. They should then setup a donation site and give 100% of proceeds to a charitable organization; maybe something like helping homeless people (especially since we now all know how crazy for homeless people to cope with the cold weather). Doing something like this would turn this into a positive outcome. Despite all the problems, the band and the performances were amazing and I am glad I attended.
Okay, this had to have been a real pain in the ass for both the guys and the audience, but it is kinda cool to still hear Ronnie's drumming pretty clearly after the power fails. He just keeps going thinking its fine until he notices. Pretty cool.
you don't understand how SAD i've been that you guys got Tyson vs. Douglas plus arcade fire, and 2 older songs that Toronto didn't get. this makes me feel soooo much better lol thanks
COÏt interrompu !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Les Killers est mon groupe préféré et j'avais de la difficulté à acheter mes billets pour aller les voir à LAVAL ......WHY LAVAL .......Peu importe, c'était un excellent show et la foule était particulièrement dans la VIBE....UNE CHANce pour eux :)
J'était juste a coté de toi.. Quelle honte... C'est pas la faute a The Killers ... La Place Bell est tellement mal fait... J'ai attendu dehors 1hrs a -35c le band de la premiere partit jouait tout le monde était dehors personne dans la Place Bell.... Pas beaucoup de toilette, corridor trop petit, vestiaire atroce... Le boulevard Concorde jamer ben raide... Et dire que j'ai des billets pour Above And Beyond dans 1 mois... Mais encore 1 fois The Killers était hot... Imagine si le show aurait arrêter complètement ... Le monde était deja faché de dehors... Ishhhhh
