@@KalvinPatel What he should work on is a low post game to punish mismatches.(small hooks over shorter opponents and even other centers). D live in the restricted area with a guy like Tatum on him should be able to score 70% of the time. Not saying right now but he should get there. Not saying that should be a play they go to a lot but he should have that in his arsenal. It would effect they way teams defend the Mavs a lot. And after that if he adds a 3 than we're talking dynasty. What impresses me he is the coordonator of the defense. Always pointing and talking. As a center he should be doing that but the fact that he looks so comfortable doing it as a rookie is great. Imagine how good he might get at that once he gets plenty of experience seeing all the offensive sets teams might run. And the guy is smart. I can imagine in the future him coordonating the Mavs defense in real time, at least as much as a player can actually do that. PS: I can see him becoming the Bill Russell of Wembys Wilt. Not like actual winning or greatness. But how either of them effect the game in different ways.
Lively/PJ, or Gafford/Maxi, were sagging towards each block when Tatum had Luka 1 on 1 at the top. So Tatum thinking about driving, then change his mind when he looked over Luka's shoulder & sees 2 Biggs and decide to take a contested 3. It's Man 2 Man, but with Zone Principles. Stuff my friend who coaches High school ball talks about. Good stuff!
The plus minus for each player is the real issue in the NBA. Can your starters score more than they allow the opposition players to score. Defense in the NBA requires a maximal effort to move your feet and keep your body in front of opposition player with the ball. The idea is to chase opposition off the three-point line and try to make them take contested long two-point shots. To do that all five players need to switch and defend in the paint. Then to finish the defense you need to rebound the missed shot and start the offense. The offense needs to not waste time and get started as soon as you cross the half court line.
Every game is do or die for them from now on, but game 5 is so crucial. Getting a strong win at the Garden before going back hom for game 6 would be a huge momentum swing. The pressure is now on the Celtics to close it out at home tomorrow night.
Yoh that is the Luka i love i dont care about him giving us 30... but when he plays well and locked in... everyone plays better 100/100 times... just one more game please
I'm sensing a very similar energy to something that happened when I was a kid. In 1987 the Mavs had a very good team that won 55 games and we were in the first round against the Seattle Supersonics who won 39 games. Mavs completely trashed the Sonics (as was expected) in the first game 151-129. Mavs fans assumed the series was over and we were all focused on our 2nd round opponent. But then the Sonics put a few things together and somehow eked out a win in game 2. The Mavs proceeded to completely fall apart the rest of the series and ultimately lost the series. Could a similar momentum shift strike the 2024 Celtics?

This Show sould have been called locked on Luka. Thia man is a clear Luka you know what.
God bless the mavs and give them strength for the next game❤
Crazy stat, no team has won the NBA Finals after losing a game by 38+.
Does Dirk do a pre game speech for game 5? Or Game 6?
Neither
@@christianmosley5573fine. Throw slightly in the locker room
@@christianmosley5573😂
WE GOT EM RIGHT WHERE WE WANT EM, MAVS IN 9
Lol
Let's go
Reggie that suit 😳
4:46 exactly, even Luka said their defense was to funnel guys towards bigs
Exactly. Which makes th blow by % stats so useless and dishonest
Mavs made me really proud today Win or Lose going forward love the effort...if you are gonna go out go out with a bang!
My jaw dropped when I saw that Lively 3.
D-Live for 3!!??!!
One of my favorite moments of this playoff run.
He definitely gonna work on those during the offseason
@@vantianhergheligiu12 oh 100% he needs to, especially seeing KP out. Have to punish the paint. He’ll need to work on that in offseason too
Let it ride 😎 mavs in 7 💙💙💙💙
I cried in 06 too Slightly!
WHY NOT US? Someone has got to be the first to make the comeback.
Reggie looks like he showed up to a party that he thought would be way different than it is.
Reggie looks splendid
Why Not Us?
You gotta link with Mavericks Digest
Every game is do or die for them from now on, but game 5 is so crucial. Getting a strong win at the Garden before going back hom for game 6 would be a huge momentum swing. The pressure is now on the Celtics to close it out at home tomorrow night.
Monday night
@@Robin-xt7yo True, you're right.
3 more wins until Luka can enjoy a recovery beer.
Yoh that is the Luka i love i dont care about him giving us 30... but when he plays well and locked in... everyone plays better 100/100 times... just one more game please

I said it before and I'll say it again.
History is on the Celtic's side, but HISTORY DON'T GOT LUKA DONCIC

Didn’t Nick say “I just don’t have belief in this team”?

Mavs hv been playing very well in gm 5s... hopefully it continues
Weren't you guys saying they also play really well in game 2s?

He's a big shot now.

Kidd gave them the aragorn speech from lotr return of the king
god i needed a finals let it ride more than i needed air
Series changes if the Ref didn't call that BS on Luka in Game 3.
Sometimes shooters just need to see the ball go in. Tims back
Mavs now have a lead in total points
Yeah you bought a ticket in the 3rd quarter, but did you have your bag packed before the game? There's lots and lots of Kidd Quotables this year.
Exum was the gamechanger. Let him take Kleber + Hardy + Green + THJ's minutes going forward
Not Kleber but he should split minutes with Green.
If Luka is on the court without Kyrie, Exum should be in.
If Kyrie is on the court without Luka, Green should be in.
This performance should have been game 3. A little too late for us Mavs I’m afraid. At least we won’t get swept.
