Don't use glue. Use the properties of the material: paracord shrinks when wet, shrinks even more from heat. Pour boiling water over the paracord so it shrinks and forms a tight fit all by itself. There is no need for glue. The coating on the handle usually is not heat resistant, so be careful when applying hot water.

Christ why don’t you just dip the whole handle in glue then wrap the cord around it if you’re going to use so much glue and not the knots themselves to hold it onto the handle

That's cool but big reason I wrap with cord is cause I can use it if I need to with it all glued is permanent. It does look good though.

I might use 1/8" diamond braid nylon instead. Paracord with the core still inside doesn't hold a knot very well. Over time the core colaspes and the knots loosen, from my experiance. Take that core OUT and you have a better chance of longevity from that wrap, imo. With these over hand knots on both sides (AKA a West Country Whip) I'd think all you really would want to glue would be the first and last knot. Even when the finish knot is a square knot or a version of a constrictor knot, glue would be a good insurance. I'd think tied tight, everything in the middle wouldn't need any glue at all.

As a person who makes constant mistakes, let me suggest using a heavy duty double sided tape. Use the glue at the top. Tape in the center and glue at the end when you are satisfied. That way you can undo it if you make a mistake.
