Why did the judge stop him from incriminating himself further? He was ready to confess to everything right there.

Alot of attorneys don't like to defend guilty people, the way they get into the way of defending them is by believing that the other could be lying as well, they have to believe their client to heart in order to not let their judgement affect the client
By the fact that Harris was in the same place as the victim, it shows that he was intending to interfere with the prosecution by putting stress in the victim
I believe the lawyer is a good person, because he wasn't motivated solely by the money but was instead shown that his client was indeed guilty, he let the whole thing unfold and never once made an excuse for his client

A defense lawyer isn't allowed to just let their client commit a crime, or cover up evidence. They're not even allowed to knowingly lie for them.
If anyone wants an update on the situation, it’s not a happy ending. Coby James Harris was sentenced to 1 year 2 months 0 days for domestic violence and/or knowingly assaulting a pregnant individual 3rd off. During this time Mary Lindsey was asking for donations online to be able to move away from Coby. Many generous people allowed her to do this. Not much else is known after this about where or how she moved, or if she even did, but she definitely had the funds to do so. Coby Harris was released on parole 05/09/2023. There was some random reports of them being back together, mainly unfounded comments like this one, however a month ago it was discovered that they had opened a baby registry, and once again Mary was asking for donations. This is all very easy to find with a simple google search. Sad stuff, Coby obviously has some ungodly hold over this lady, but at a certain point what more can you do.

@@AkiLouverture No one is blaming victims. We are just interested in what the judge said to Lindsay.
@@Crispy1961 I apologize, I'm not saying that this original commenter said it, but there was a person I tagged that said the victim let him in, so I was responding to that comment. I wanted to see what the Judge said to her as well
@@AkiLouverture a lot of times these Victims go right to those guys instead of moving on
Judge is smart asking him to prove on camera the address number. The prosecutor is one sharp minded lady. Even smarter is whoever sent the police immediately to the address she gave. I'm truly impressed by this level of action that was taken.
That was very impressive that she noticed that, a lot of people wouldn't have. She very well may have just saved that woman's life.
How frightening. Way to go to the prosecutor!
I think the cop should be recognized as well. He immediately got on the phone to send cops to the house
a group effort: the judge controlled the situation, the lawyer made sure the woman was okay, the cop acted, and the defense kept his mouth shut
People always victim shame, but never ask why is it that the abuser never want to stop. The audacity.
The reason why people victim shame is because the opposite is often true. Meaning that in many cases the defendant is the actual victim! Not the complainant!! There are two reasons why. To protect real victims of domestic abuse which is what we both witnessed in this video. And to make the system work. Money, jobs, courts and prison. In Common Wealth nations the the system protects women over men with regards to domestic abuse. Regardless if the women falsely accuses multiple men for the wrong doing. The courts will favor her word over theirs. Nothing is perfect!

To those who realised this was happening thank you for actually watching those small hidden signals and noticing them!
Girl. Your safety is the most important thing.
That could have ended a lot worse. He needs to never come back into contact with her.
When doing these hearings online like this it needs to be confirmed they're not in the same building.
Wow... The prosecutor Ms. Davis saved that woman’s life.
This gave me cold chills. That man is a danger to anyone if he us willing to go to victims house and prevent her from testifying against him.
Cudos to the police officer who immediately alerted his team over call after prosecutor’s suspect
I didn't even notice that the first time. As the prosecutor is pushing the issue, the judge gets the victim to give her address. The officer is immediately on the phone. You can see the officer start to speak up as the prosecutor notifies the judge the police are at the door. Good eye. And even better action taken by all parties involved.
Props to the prosecuting attorney
Mrs. Davis thank you for going above and beyond, you are a HERO and have my respect.
Not shown: The defense attorney giving him the stare of death.
This gives me chills. Narcissistic abuse is nothing to sleep on. I lived through this with my ex-husband. The methods he used to intimidate and harass me, not to mention the way he lied to judges and police was absolutely mind-blowing! Ironically his last name is also Harris. So thankful to be free and still mentally sound. This woman's life was spared that day! And this video will FOREVER preserve what kind of individual he really is!
So she lets him back in and then gets him arrested.
Smaaart.
I’m happy she’s safe, just imagine what could have happened 😔!
Who are these people clicking the dislike button? Abusers?
Deborah Davis does not receive enough recognition with her sharp eye on catching that just from their phone cameras alone.
Literally all the comments are about her
Great prosecutor, she think fast and did the right thing to protect the victim.
She is very emotional on the lasts seconds, when it's settled and the accused put in jail.
You get to know your lawyer, she saw her clients face and body language and knew something was up.
This is why we need more women, and better education on the nuances of abuse, in court.
This! Yes!
Women are better at reading emotions and are more intuitive

As a girl i disagree... am terrible at this and it's kind of ruining my life
Thank goodness the judge and DA were able to step in.
This stuff is so sad, couldn’t imagine being in a situation like this.
That prosecutor is worth her salt, she correctly deduced that scumbag was at his ex's house.
I think the witness notified her lawyer in a zoom side chat. But I am glad she spoke up
I actually not too sure about that since the survivor is using a phone in order to be in zoom. If the suspect noticed her typing - I fear it could cause a horrible reaction from the suspect. It must have been a scary situation for the survivor - how to survive yet how to notify help without the suspect going ape at the same time.
I believe it was the eye contact..
The fact that the police were outside the door indicates the prosecutor had some prior knowledge of what was going on.
She would look away from the camera and the guy would slightly nod, and thankfully the prosecutor noticed. Guess it's time for us to start learning to blink in Morse code.
The looks to the side were suspicious
