"Macaws don't eat through floors..." Not if you catch them in time they don't, lol. Rocket is such a cutie! And so small compared to the other two. 💕 He still has a bit of that baby macaw-ness about him, which is adorable.
I did one of them I didnt like that the video ended so soon. My girlfriend feels the same way and she also did one dislike. Sorry for the misunderstanding
As always, I love that you educate people about having such magnificent creatures. They’re a lot of bird! And not for everyone. Much love from your NYC flock and friend. 🦜
I love your videos. You’ve done a great job of showing the time commitment and responsibilities of housing a macaw - I’ll never get one but I love living vicariously through your footage 😂
I can only imagine! I have a small Meyer’s Parrot, and even SHE is a handful, but I love her dearly. I can’t even imagine the hard work required with a big bird like a Macaw.
Yes it’s great that you show the realities of living with a macaw. It’s sad to see them in pet stores where they’re put in small cages in the middle of the store and they’re surrounded by people shouting “hello” at them all day.
Wow! How lucky you are to see three blue and gold macaws everyday! They look so beautiful! Gosh it must feel like a dream to see them fly and see those vibrant feathers up close. Amazing!
I have raised macaws. I am in fla. U.S.A. We have to many hawks, eagles, sharp shin hawks. We cant free fly! We did other things . My birds love Jamaica music. The perch dancing was most fun for them all.We went fishing yes thay would fish,an eat what thay caught. An take the fish from my net.I so enjoy watching your birds fly!Best of luck to all. Love Mrs.G.
Aww amazing, sounds fun. Yes outings on a harness is great. Keep in mind there are free fliers where you are, their birds are great at predator evasion and owners always keep their eyes on the skies.
I was wondering when I saw the Insta post! Was like you got another one?! It's cool you guys found a solution for Rocket and his family. It's also cool how you guys can get on and help each other out now! Macaws are definitely lots of work, parrots in general are ( I have two conures on my screen right now chewing it, while my cockatiels sing and our other conure chats) so great how you always mention that in your videos!
I thought that you where joking for the first half of this video! Good thing there is more people to help, I couldn’t even imagine taking care of two macaws!
My definetion of a perfect live has changed by watching your video's. I now want to work at a bird rescue, i am now working/school tingy with predatory birds but i still want to work with rescue birds. I have a young rainbow lorikeet and he is amazing, but i would live to own more birds and one day freefly them and also have friends with birds.
Congratulations on the new ki- macaw! All jokes aside you are the best macaw carer i ever seen the most healthiest lushes beautiful gold macaws all props to you!!
Yess. Another video! And I'm actually earlyish! So nice to see you guys take on Rocket! So excited to see more adventures! Btw I loved how the intro was macaws screaming XDD
Thanks so much for these videos, guys! They're really helping us getting our 5 month old blue and gold, Einstein, settled in to our family home😍! Four people looking after one baby🎉. Greetings from Perth, WA! Happy flying🦜🚀
That house would have been perfect! I do hope you find something one day, but for now this is going to give you much more time and a little less stress ☺️
That is so smart to bird sit for each other out of your free flight group, because the birds see them as extended family, & do t feel abandoned! I have to board at my avian vet, but after missing me for a day or 2 Lulu gets chatty wt the other parrots and feels like she is at camp.
Beautiful birds. I’ve thought about eventually getting a bird like this. Might be too much responsibility for me at this point. But eventually once i get everything together im going to get ready for it. They seem to make beautiful companions.
I have only just found your videos. I am really enjoying watching their exploits!! I note that you have not put any new videos up for a year. I do hope that Mikey and Mia are still going strong. I have an Alexandrine called Alexander. He is 23 years young and has had his flight feathers clipped since he was a youngster. He can still flutter about, but it stops him from flying into walls and injuring himself. I have just changed his diet to be more fruits and vegetables and less just plain seed and no human food. I have also included some herbs and seeds from the naturopath. He is loving it. He didnt know what Chop was (neither did I!!!). I used to just give him some berries and some broccoli or apple. But once he was introduced to chop he is so much better already and it has only been a day. Now I am giving him kale and carrot and corn and beetroot, and mushroom and cabbage and berries and lemon and orange and apple and silverbeet. He is also getting sprouted seeds and beans and lentils, almonds, walnuts, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, linseeds, chia and sesame seeds, and some dried mango, pineapple, peaches and apricots. He is such a lucky bird. His jaw seems to be weak. He cannot crack open almonds and walnuts. I have to crack them for him to get the nut out. He has lots of things to chew on, like his perches and toys, which he destroys with great joy and relish!! 😂😂😂 He is learning to step up on command. That was pretty easy to get him to do that, but I dont know how to teach him to do other things. And he doesnt seem to have a favourite treat, so I am not sure how I am going to reward him for doing things right. I am trying to find a free flight club here in Perth Western Australia, where we can meet other bird people. I am also looking for a harness for him so I can take him out more to stretch his wings and fly a bit more, so I can let his flight feathers grow and not get clipped. I am afraid to let him fly free. I am afraid he will fly away.
Hey, we have uploaded many videos since this haha, every month or so since then. Also, please please please look into alternatives apart from clipping, it’s so so dangerous for their physical and mental health. It’s actually illegal in a few countries now too. Birds can learn very fast how to fly around houses safely, there are harnesses and travel crates for outside, netted gardeners etc. clipping is disabling their main point of transport and can lead to very serious health issues. Also, if they ever did get out and spooked, they would be in serious danger as the right winds can take them and they won’t have the skills to return. Please let them grow out and look into the many many alternatives. You can always get into free flight, if your bird is trained correctly it won’t fly away, but it will be a lot of work for a bird being clipped so long having very limited muscle.
I finally got my gorgeous B/G girl. She is 9mths old now & previous owners did great by her, but a serious accident meant too much time away from home. Yours & other videos prepared me wonderfully. I am confident with training & she looks do much healthier in such a short time. Thank you from down under.
Rocket is wonderful! Can’t wait to see more vids of him and good luck with living with two more people in the house! Hope your living situation will be compatible :) also And Then There Were Three is a Genesis album. Just a bit of trivia
One of their worst albums, but a Genesis album nonetheless. I recommend Trick of the Tail over it any day! Or if you like more experimental progressive rock, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway or Selling England by the Pound. 👍
@@kingcrimson234 A Trick Of The Tail is my favourite album of all time! Also And Then There Were Three I wouldn't say is their worst album, I'd say the first album is.
More! More! More! I need my Mikey and Macaw fixes. I love your vids- please keep ‘em coming. And I can’t wait to see your special guest star in the upcoming new video saying “Hat!” I crack up every time he says that.
I love you so much and your babies and of course your wife. So enjoyable you make my day every time I've confined one of your videos. Sending hugs and kisses Barbara and Petty. 💕💕💕💕💕
Great wow fantastic so your full time macaw parent of 3 birds awesome must be lot of work but your doing great job from what see. Well if u guys ever down central London primrose hill or Regent’s Park and I happen to bump into u I will have to say hello and I usually carry fresh fruit mango or pineapple if I happen to have any on me shall give the birds treat absolute beautiful birds by the way
Wow these birds are incredible to watch as a child I always wanted one but since being an adult I realised how hard work they are so think I'll stick to watching them on UA-cam 🙈🤣💙 awesome birds tho!!!😍
Wow rocket is so tiny😍i also have a blue and gold that is quite small but rocket just seems so tiny on camera hahahaha Love the baby look he still has in him i also make short videos about my parrots if anyone is interested💜
I got cockatiel and a lovebird. They both get along together. I still have 10 years or so with them. In the future when they are passed away I want a macaw. I tame both my cockatiel and lovebird. The lovebird, she is still flighty cause I only had her for 2 weeks but I can touch her without biting. 🦜🦜💖💖
Not going to kid, but I just started watching this channel because a blue and gold macaw that was free flying randomly landed on my shoulder while I was out on a stroll yesterday.
I got deployed on a bit of a short notice, and it was tough with my birds, my parents ended up looking after them, my mom learned really well and quick on how to take care of them and their daily needs. I stressed about it so long trying to find someone I can trust. Side note, when I’m on the phone and they hear my call them, they start doing their call the “hey! Where are you” call, and try to get as close to the phone as possible. My heart when that happens 😭. I miss them so much and I can’t wait to go home. Note (two budgies and a cockatiel)

Yea he’s adorable for now… Give it time and he will be as crazy as Mikey
Well, not all the way 😅 but, only has happened with the wood floors. Our has never tried to since we caught him.
The dislike is from the landlord of the farm house.
The other two are from the people that say 15 macaws are easy to take care of
And the fourth is from mikey cos he doesn't like rocket 😂. 🚀 🦜
