I discovered you today and I am amazed. I'm old enough to be your grandma and I wish I'd heard you long ago as your wisdom is profound. Psychologically I am very similar to you but choices and chance have made my life very different from yours. Your understanding of your nature is a wonderful blessing in your life. Honor who you are but be open to changes that will enrich your life. May you be blessed with all good things.
Yes, I would like a part 2! I think that is so awesome that you are quitting social media! It's like a longtime smoker who has quit smoking and learns to really taste food again. I believe that social media dulls your senses like smoking does (that's my best analogy, anyway). Another wonderful video; such a soothing voice, and the beauty of nature and simplicity, without all the bells and whistles that a lot of other videos have. Thank you again, my friend for your words of wisdom!
Thank you Mary so very much! I think that is a truly wonderful analogy. And when we are in it we don't even realize how true it really is, and how much beauty we are missing! I appreciate your support my friend. And I'll get on a part 2 shortly :)
I quit social media a few years back. Really never a fan and found it toxic and depressing so it was an easy thing to do. I stayed in contact with close friends and that's cool. It's amazing how minimalism reminds me of the simple living of descendants. They had a simple sustainable life which was hard but also rewarding, spiritual and enjoyable. Maybe that is what my journey is about. There is something quite magical about solitude and space and if that describes what you need then maybe it is a gift to know that. The solitude deepens the space and the space deepens the solitude. Great video, thought provoking as always.
So true, I always keep that in the back of my mind, that our ancestors never had any technology and I agree that their lives had more meaning and satisfaction, and were slower. Great observation! 👍
Thanks for this. Inspirational points galore. I'm already going down these paths but it's always awesome to hear others talk about them. I relate to you!
I've just discovered your channel, you're so inspiring to me already from just watching a few videos! Currently in the process of watching and taking notes from all of them. Thank you for sharing your life and advice with the internet, you're super cool :)
Good for you! I find it interesting how at first it feels so uncomfortable, but once you get into it just being normal, you realize it’s really no loss! Only gains 🙂
Been mostly off social media for a long time. Last account was Facebook. Closed Facebook back in 2011. It’s just UA-cam and a bushcraft forum now. It is so freeing. Sad when I see groups of people sitting at a table for a meal and everyone is on the phone instead of talking to each other.
It's been 7 months expect Reddit (altho deeply considering deleting it as it's become as addictive for me) and altho it's not always easy, it's amazing.

Beautiful words. I so entirely agree.

I love your every single decision to quit social media. This minute. This hour. This moment.
Thank you!!! It’s definitely worth the battle! 🙂

great watch lynds!💗
Thanks Kya! 🙂❤️
Comparison. I've actively made an effort to quit comparing myself to others. Quitting drinking also simplified my life.
Those are 2 big ones. And I’m with you on both of them. Good for you!

Thank you 🙂
Totally agree with these 5 decisions. Some are still a work in progress for me. But my life is so peaceful now. Which for me was the goal. 🕊
It feels so amazing to get off fb and Instagram

I so agree. Such a strange world. It feels good to leave social media. 🙂
Great video. I quit social media January 21st and although it’s been tough, I know my life will improve greatly.
Thank you! And good for you! You’ve got this. And I really think it does get easier(and better) as we get used to life without it! 🙂
