Wouldn’t a probable way to descore be clamping the base of the mobile goal so it can’t move and having another mech that lifted them off? I think 1 motor would have enough torque and the descore arm could also be used to push down on doughnuts and score them on the mogos.
dude what goes into the thing to secure the top of the rubbery bit on the goals? im assembling my teams rn and i actually cant figure it out (we have no instructions)
I got a question about your goal grabbing mech, i was going to do the same until i saw the rule about the goal are oriented in any way for autonomous. Is it still able to grab the goals when the point is facing the grabber?
@@lucaswhiteaker how squishy are the tops? If the ring is pulled against the side of the pole, held level, and pulled straight up, is it possible to get the ring off?
@@Gecko479 They are actually very squishy but the problem is the way they are shaped. They are very squishy when you put them on. Trying to take them off is a different story. It’s not really possible without turning them
According to rule T10 Ring weights may vary by up to .25lbs +/- .075lbs (113.4g +/- 34g) Mobile Goal weights may vary by up to 2lbs +/- .075lbs (907g +/- 34g)

Yes that would work! I am testing different options for descoring. I’ll post more once I find something.

Let me check on that. I think that that design is fine but I’ll double check.
So, It will be able to grab it in both the flat side of the mobile goal and the pointed side of the mobile goal.
how heavy are the individual rings, I 3d printed one and its about 100 grams, is that close
I don’t know that either but I would say they are almost the same weight as triballs.
@@lucaswhiteaker thank you
They are actually 113g so your spot on
@@lucaswhiteaker that’s almost exactly what my slicer said the print would weigh so that’s pretty cool. Thank you
descoring probably doesnt really matter, as instead you can just put the goal in the minus zone
descoring matters, you need to take off rings during skills because the blue ones will block off the goals
@@3818c_cookin Yeah I realized, its gonna be a challenge!
It will difficult but doable.
Do you know how heavy the mobile goals are?
About 2-2.5 pounds
Would dropping it at an angle help push the ring into the goal?
Yes kinda, it would work if you had the ring on top and drove around a little bit and gravity would score it.
If you hold the base of the goal down with one hand can you descore just by pulling the ring up?
Yes, I just was trying to show in the video how you really have to force it off the goal to descore a ring/doughnut.
What happens if you drop it on?
It will rest on top of the goal. If you drop it onto the goal with enough force it will score itself.
Is it possible to drop a ring at an angle without pushing it in?
It kinda works at a 45 degree angle but it’s not always a 100% guarantee.
Thank you for this video
Can you brute force the ring off of the goal for descoring?
Yes, it will be interesting with all the different designs for descoring.

@@lucaswhiteakerif they’re centred, is it possible to just brute force it off assuming the goal is held down/one of the wall stakes?
@@Gecko479 I’m going to say yes because it’s rubber. I’ll test it tomorrow and post a video of more questions I’m getting.
do anyone know how tall is the wall stakes?
The neutral wall stakes are about 24in
@@lucaswhiteaker ok thx bro👊👊
How heavy are the rings?
They are 113g
Thanks
RIP intake meta
it would be pretty easy to make something to push it down. i have an idea to do it passively
@@theyeetersgang7887 Maybe like a pressure hood for spin up but with a tipping point ring-intake
If you did that how would you score on the neutral and alliance goals? We are planning on doing a lift for that which doubles as a hang
@@questcThat’s what I’m prototype right now.

How tall the side poles (not team poles)

What's the official weight

I couldn’t find anything. But I took the shipment weight and divided it by 5. It’s about 4-5 pounds
