4K ✅ Engine Rebuild 1982 model: John Deere 3.9L Engine OverHaul 🔥 JD 2140 🔥 NEW: Cylinders, Pistons, Gasket 🔥 Bulgaria, Kubrat
The problem was a developed (loose) connecting rod bolt. Prior to the repair, a slight rattling sound was heard from the Tractor's engine as it started the tractor.
We did the overhaul of the engine ourselves.
We only used Genuine John Deere parts.
New Pistons, Cylinders complete with Segments, Gaskets, Connecting Rod Bearings and 1 new Connecting Rod. We washed the block very well from all the dirt and soot accumulated over the years with a 250 bar water jet.
We sanded and fitted the Valve beds because there was a need.
We also made a small modification of the Tractor Coupling. The axial bearing was not lubricated. We added a nozzle and grease nipple and it can now be lubricated from the outside without splitting the tractor in two !!!
The price of the original parts cost us about BGN 3,500 - 4,000 ~ 2000 EURO

Great video and nice tractor👍🏻, i am doing the same thing with my John deere 2040 too. Installed a turbo from a 2850 and works all fine, but I need the dimensions of the air intake pipes. Do you know where I could get them, because they aren't for sale anymore at our workshops.

Hello, I am from austria, our workshops are called lagerhaus Werkstatt and they are in direct cooperation with John deere germany, they have 90% of the parts, but the air intake system isn't for sale anymore.

Hi I'm from Romania and i have a Jd 2140. I'm having sometimes problem with engaging Hi , and the inversor -Lo lever don't stay in neutral position. Do you now what is the reason and how can i fix it. Maybe you have a video with that. (I'm a truck mechanic so there is no problem to open it).

@@jazko I had a 2140 and Got the engine rebuilt threw a conrod after 8 hours the previous owner rebuilt it Twice before me it kept overheating and it destroyed a small end bearing lots of people told me that you can't rebuild a John Deere engine not the 4239T at least because it won't last others say its fine just use Genuine John Deere parts and not after market the biggest flaw with the 4 cylinder John Deere engines are the Balancer shafts and their bearings because if they spin the bearings and come out of their holes the oil pressure drops and destroys the engine that's what happened to mine
So as long as the balance shaft bearings are fitted properly and the shafts don't have any resistance and you use John deere parts I believe it should be fine.
