I got some unwanted jars from neighbors. I randomly hammered the jars and they look pretty with flowers planted. Now that the last peaches are ripe, I finally had enough in the orchard. Ripe peaches are very sweet and tender, which are my favorite. I also brought many peaches back and made some summer dishes.

I don't have any grandmas, they both died when I was a little girl. I never expected to feel so "grandchild" towards a person from other side of the world as I feel towards your grandma! Her smile makes me so happy :)
She reminds me of my own grandma, who sadly isn't with us anymore. I miss her a lot.
I grew up with only one grandma and she died in 2000. I really miss her. This video reminds me all my past time.
For how many years i watch all of your videos, this video shows those beautiful imperfections that naturally happen in our daily lives, no need to cut, mistakes is normal☺️.. So lovely to watch your way of living.Godbless

Haha these pots are not water containers. We use them to make paocai, which means pickles.

盆姐的家鄉怎麼什麼水果蔬菜都有，雲南真的是個人間天堂，能夠在那裡生活的人都太幸運了。
So jealous that they have all kinds of yummy produces available within walking distance!
They work very hard to find, gather, and use that produce. It’s hard work even though they make it look easy. I have difficulty harvesting the fruit off my own small trees. Of course it’s 105f here.
@@shannonrobinson262 i was wishing the same thing but I too garden and realize how hard it is for all that beautiful fruit/grain/spice/veg is to grow and how hard it is to be so beautifully pristine looking. My turnips look like lace in the leaves due to nasty slugs.
But the turnips themselves are super sweet and nice this year. ? Hum? I wonder if slug attacks are making them sweeter lol

@@JazDickinson1 I do like how its a real community-many hands make hard work easier and how they all seem to share decently. I've binge watched almost all of Penji videos and shevactually explains how things work in her village. I can barely get half out neighbors to actually speak to one another sometimes.
I can't say we are unfriendly and of course I do share my garden produce if I have extra and when we've had weather disasters, we get wicked ice storms sometimes and strong summer storms and winter blizzards occasionally and we all pull together to help.
But to have a real community like theirs would precious and I think if we could do things like this in all areas(well we can't grow all the things penji village can) it would help the planet. Less transport costs and fresher foods. I'm sure it is very hard work.
Eta:we would have to go back to eating more seasonally, that's what I think would be the hardest, I can go in the dead of winter and buy almost anything I want. Even strawberries and tomatoes etc... most times (growing up in 60s) our tomatoes were canned in winter and we had strawberry jam that we made in summer.
Would we appreciate our food more if it went back to seasonal eating? I know I relish that first fresh ripe tomato from the garden or standing under the mulberry trees and peach tree gorging on fresh fruits.
I saw yesterday that I had 2 tiny little cucumbers on my plants. Nothing like fresh from the garden.
I've even picked 2 early eggplants! (Chinese string is the name and they are lovely)
