❤All of Munich's pretty footages. It's very nice to see Mr. Lukas Stege enjoying the gorgeous, tasty-looking food during Oktoberfest. Loving the supercute winterhat as well! 😁
Cannot agree more, my personal favorite timing to visit is early September and left before Oktoberfest. (too many people, too expensive and too many tourists), for me, attend Oktoberfest once in my lifetime is enough... Sorry about this.
As a local: Don't go to Hofbräuhaus, but any other Bavarian restaurant. It's a tourist trap, loud, expensive and the food quality is not really high. You won't encounter any locals there and will be surrounded by tourists.
@@Kumanosuke Since I can remember the Hofbräuhaus has been one of the "landmarks" of Munich. When I was there as a kid, it was hard to get in cause it was always crowded. ANd even then there were more foreigners than locals. It sure looks nice inside, but the "experience" of Munich you get from many other places and beergardens as well and you don't have to overpay, either.
According to statistics from 2022, Munich is the city with the second-largest proportion of foreign residents. There is a large proportion of non-white population. The city also attracts millions of tourists from all over the world every year.
First of all, 80 % of the people who live in Munich are not even Bavarians any more. Secondly, the fact that many of them, having no roots in the area, wear the customary "Tracht" always struck me as odd bordering on the inappropriate. Also, the Oktoberfest has long ceased to be anything authentic or fun for that matter as it is being reduced to a mass tourist attraction like frigging Disney World in the US. While I lived in Munich I went to the Oktoberfest once, and in my opinion that is all the experience you need. Unless you prefer a large number of tourists descending on the city during a certain period of time, crowding your space and who you find, quite often, relieving themselves in public, often in entryways of houses. Real travelers don't go to Munich for this rather perverted spectacle, but when there are comparitively fewer people in town and you can take your time exploring all the traditions the still exist. Like going to a beergarden bringing your own food or enjoying a traditional Weißwurst breakfast with a Bretzel and a "Halbe" (large beer).
I've never been to Germany and I don't want to visit it because I don't respect germans. My grandfather fought against them and he was in Berlin in 1945.

Winter is the best time to visit. This is almost always the case with continental climates.
can you describe the sessions in months of the year (when is Munich fall, winter, summer or spring)??
Spring April/May, summer June, until end of September, fall Oktober/Nov, winter the rest of the year, we would say.
@@DWTravel then i will be there for work in the fall for 2 days

Me who lives close to Munich:
Hmmmm interesting

When it comes to tourist traps, you shouldn't visit the Oktoberfest, either.
@musashimiyamoto586 It's not a tourist trap though.

Are you being serious right now? It is not 1939 anymore, you know.
Old Germany much better
What is old Germany?
