    Here are my tips and tricks in shooting Time-lapses using the Sony A7IV.
    In general, I follow the following steps:
    1) Set up you camera into Interval Shooting Mode
    2) Determine your Shooting Interval and Length of your Time-Lapse Video
    3) Set your lens and camera into Manual Mode
    4) Set your Apeture, Shutter speed, and ISO
    5) Frame your shot in the field accordingly
    6) Use Final Cut Pro to import images and export them as video

    Echoing everyone else's comments. Short, and to the point. The internet needs more of this.

      Also I am watching these Timelapse how to videos and not even showing their finished Timelapses kind of annoying.

    Great video, quick and to the point.
    One suggestion, coming from an editor that adds music to talking head all the time.
    Turn your BG music down just a few db for the next ones!
    besides that, looks and sounds great.

      Yes, the steps I show in this video also applies for the Sony ZVE1. The ZVE1 also allows you to do a video timelapse using S&Q mode which is much quicker. I showed how to do that in this video: ua-cam.com/video/FL9mQSaU8U8/v-deo.htmlsi=N2KCxZuMNcB1C2LM&t=193

    So do I shoot in jpeg or can I shoot in raw? You never mentioned it.

    • @arhonchua
      @arhonchua  Рік тому +1

      If you want the flexibility to edit the photos - I would recommend shooting in RAW and then importing those edits into Final Cut Pro. JPEG would just save you time and effort during post.

      @@arhonchua ok thanks. That makes sense. I tried a timelape recently using the q&s mode on my a7iv but the results aren't that great. I made the stupid mistake of setting the iso to auto and forgot that I had the picture profile set to s-log3. I'm going to try this way and see.

    what aspect ratio is the camera set at for timelapses?

    • @arhonchua
      @arhonchua  3 місяці тому

      4k or higher resolution. Depends on your resolution of your camera and if you’re planning to crop in on the editing timeline.

      I recommend using S&Q Mode change the frame rate between 8 to 2 fps. This way is much simpler to set up.

      You can also use the S&Q Mode to shoot timelapses. But there's less flexibility and control on the interval shooting.
