As always thanks for the update and takes Swift. I think anyone who gives up on a player after 3 games needs to calm down and take a few deep breathes. With 101 reasons why something might not be working, most times patience is the word of the day. Like Swift was pointing out about that screen, more of a touch pass or the slight tip doesn't occur, and you might be thinking this guy isn't so bad after all when he makes a big gain or takes it to the house. Just because someone drops a TD reception doesn't mean he's a bust. I literally saw in more than one chat board and more than one person saying that the Odunze draft was a wasted pick because he dropped a TD pass. Anywho.... Here's to hoping coaching and play calling makes a step forward this week. 🐻⬇
Do you think Waldren had a say in the Swift signing? Just how he's using him is how the Lions did. He has to get some catches after chip blocks to get him going. Then those 2 yrs up the middle become 4-5.
@Swifty, Thanks as always for the updates, breakdowns and common sense fandom. I hope if the O line struggles again they fire the O line coach. This is a very winnable game vs the Rams
What you described is how they used to use Monte, and then would use Herbert as the change of pace RB. It worked pretty well even back then when we didn't have a passing game. So I can just imagine how much more successful this RB model could be.
I have to think Flus has had a huge say on so many runs for Swift up the middle. Because there is no way this OC doesn't know he's more a WR type weapon.
The film shows that he actually is he needs huge holes to be productive. and he’s rarely ever been a lead back in the NFL. He’s really good as a pass catching running back.
Even last year 30% of his running production came in game two and game three. He had 700 yards of production in his other 15 games that’s 50 yards of game behind one of the best offensive lines playing in a read option system with Jalen hurts.
Im a lions fan and ive never been very impressed with d'andre swift. Hes never had great vision, doesn't catch as well as he should, injury prone and he doesn't run hard enough. Only reason he broke 1k last year was he was playing behind the best oline. On a average oline he will never live up to your expectations
Having Roschon and D'Andre in a running back rotation is a good idea. Things are just being sorted out right now, and I'd give the Bears the benefit of the doubt. If I'm not mistaken, both the Texans and Colts stadiums had the new Hellas Matrix Turf installed, and it appeared that some of the OL not getting a good anchor on some of their blocks. And D'Andre's running style relies on making unique cutback moves and quick bursts of speed. No excuses of course, but sometimes being overly cautious to avoid injury can result with some bad looking plays. A win against the Rams and all this squabble will fade away. Looking forward to more Matt Pryor PANCAKES Sunday!
RoJo should start if we are gonna run it like Michigan does 😅💯🤷🏻 He gets the tough yards. I'm a Herbert fan, your a Swift fan. Both need to be used right. RoJo tough yards up the middle. Herbert once you get him outside in space, he can run 7,9 yards up the middle, even break out TDs w/his speed. Swift you want as the check down, having him chip block and then sit down in open space. Then Swift gets dangerous. Catches over the Middle is where Swift is a Pro Bowl guy. So, imo, it's just about using guys right. RoJo wears them down, if we go pass Swift should go in, and then 5-10 plays for Herbert to get him in space. HB Toss. Stretches. Etc. Get him to the sideline and let him fly. Tho, he also has big runs up the middle, but he also has loss of yards plays
Roschon played with a lot of passion against the Colts and he seemed to show it after every play that he ran on. I think he's a player with a chip on his shoulder and a lot to prove to the NFL world. He just needs a chance. Remember that he was behind Bijan Robinson in college. He also has a history of playing QB when he was younger so maybe they can use him in some trick plays from run to pass! I'm rooting for the guy!
Only problem with Nabers is his ceiling. Is it high or low? Yeah he is lighting it up now, but down the stretch or next year is another question. Have to really wait to see how he adjusts. Odunze is showing a high ceiling, but how high is the question.
Look at you telling us not to give up on swift. 1-2 punch with RoJo. This why I watch you and no one else, keep finding success brother I appreciate you and your content 🐻⬇️
IMHO working next to Davis has stunted his growth. As far as Kiran at R tackle, I can’t find anywhere that Kiran has ever played the position. He did play r guard 3 years ago but never tackle. When you consider Swifts past performance don’t forget the quality of the Eagles OLine vs the Bears Oline.
Nope, Herbert cannot block, blocking is not his strong suite, and if the back cannot block right now they get less touches. Blocking backs help keep Williams clean.
@@MeetTheSLAYER Kahlil averaged 5.7 yds per carry, hand offs don't require QB protection. RoJo can be in on read options for pass pro. RoJo is good but Kahlil is better.

Get Herby out there too! He’s the best all around runner, and I bet his pass blocking/catching has improved. If the opposing defense had to worry about a running game, they wouldn’t be able to pin their ears back and go after Caleb every down.
I got no problem with Swift. His struggles running the football have largely been due to poor OL play. Sure he has missed some opportunities on his own accord, but he is a home run threat. If he has upset me in anyway it is his lack of production in passing game. That was where he was really supposed to come into effect, but has disappointed so far. I think all 3 RBs are really good and have the ability to benefit one another as they all have different styles. The OL is a nuclear disaster right now. So Waldron needs to start getting creative and help them out with plays that don’t force them to hold up in pass pro for too long. That and Caleb needs to start taking what defenses give him as well as find his accuracy. Honestly, I rather see them play Amegadjie than see Davis back in

Can or will they BLOCK?????
our offense is soft
I don't think starting Johnson over Swift sends the right message. I think Johnson is a good runner but not better than Swift.
I don't think its just that. Its just that he's a more physical runner and what this offense needs on 1st and 2nd down
No Herbert deserves more carries
Rocking does not have a lot of speed
I was never in on Swift, especially for the money…we let D MO go for this trash? Come on man
No herbert?? Ur better than that swifty
“Swift is better than this”, no he’s not and he’s proven it 3 straight games. Believe your eyes, tape don’t lie
The screen to Swift got messed up because of Pryor, period.
