Thankyou. I grew up in Monument Beach in the 50s/60s ... Just plain wonderful memories; especially of the "indian summers" labor day to Thanksgiving. The summer people being GONE and it was just US Townies! :)> Still warm decent while on the mainland things are definately cooling off! Visiting the Edaville railroad at thanksgiving to Christmas. We kids had lots of fun giving directions to the "Monument" in Monument Beach!! :)> Of course there never was one! Hint, the name was origionally Manomet Beach for the Manomet river where the Canal is today!
@@LIVINGONCAPECODMA Being a history geek, I always thought a monument of some Phoenicians trading with the Massachusetts Natives at Apatuxet would be just right. Yes, the writing on "The Bourne Stone" is Iberian Punic/ Phoenician. The script says "Cape Cod belongs to king Hanno of Carthage." read "America BC" by Dr Barry Fell
I love Monument Beach , I hate that they let all these boats now dock right by the beach Many a boat has emptied out their bilge tanks in our harbor. Think before you dump !
She’s true, half of borne is on the Cape side of the canal but both sections are considered to be inside of Barnstable county, which technically means it’s in Cape Cod
Another great video Amanda! This really gives you the feel of what Bourne is like!!
@@jacksullivan-realtor Thank you so much Jack!
Lived on Cape back in the 80s so will always have an affinity for it
It's certainly changed since then, but still a beautiful place!

Peter I definitely agree with you on that!
Bourne is not on cape cod
It most certainly is! Monument Beach, Pocasset, Cataumet, Wings Neck are all on the Cape side.
