Loukoum can’t stand the passage of Time anymore. She decides to go face it in person and free herself from its control. But can you really get rid of Time itself?

When time got killed , it was really clever how you showed that with the afterimages, and as they started to fade to an unnoticeable degree, just to show that it wasn't dead after all.
Yes, I think it is also a reference to Marcel Duchamp's (and Mili after) Nude going downstairs where time itself is pictured on the painting! Very cool

@Im this guy's Other account okay since u gave me two ??,short explanation: i have a big chest, i get tired of creators designing/drawing/animating their big breasted characters in a gross, creepy, and obviously sexual manner literally all the time, simple as that. just because someone has a big chest doesnt automatically mean its sexual yknow? :/ (i appreciate her design in general tho tbh, this short has a rad style going on)

I live in rural India, the farthest place from France you could think of, yet the accent is pretty indicative. I mean you sure must have, at least once in your lifetime, come across the stereotype of French people and their accent.

my god sorry I'm reading the comments and I'm disappointed how nobody is appreciating the brilliant use of metaphors and symbolism, this is one of the best depictions of Time I've seen in ANYTHING hands down. When Time painted one of the woman's hair white? That was genius.

The depiction of time was just so brilliant in my opinion- the ‘people say I heal all wounds’ really got me, but the voice they gave time was so calming, almost passive like something that’s always there but is totally undisturbed. Beautiful animation as usual

Recommended For with the shading from the nose, time also looks like a sundial, pretty clever
That scene at 3:18, specifically the sounds of the light skipping across the water accompanied by the scene itself, made me tear up. The acceptance and peaceful beauty of being OK with time, and its passage, and your lack of control of it, it really hit me.. such an absolutely fantastic piece of artwork ...!
I love that depending on what emphases you put on "killing time", it means different things: murdering the concept of time, passing the time, and that it's time for killing.
This is the cutest premise I have ever seen, and the colors were so vibrant and mesmerising I love it so much 💖💖💓💕💕💕

The golden boat scene hits so personally. Theres this bangla poem called 'Sonaar tOri' which literally translate to 'golden boat' or 'boat of gold'. Which is also about time! Told in a symbolic story that the boatman (time) only has space for the farmer's (us) crops (our work) in his golden boat.

This is really lovely. I forgot the title, so I was thinking of time as Mother Nature, and it still works. I love both characters and the symbolic but easily related to plot and imagery. Beautiful short, thank you. : )

I have watched this short like so many times and it has legit saved me at my worst slumps. I too am a student in animation and m not kidding when I say this is THE film that I need to go back to, just to get myself motivated every time I feel I am going no where. Thank you, for making this film. It's truly beautiful.
The day and night thing is so true though I close my eyes for a second and it's already night, I barely turn my back and it's already morning time is a fast boi (or girl)
This was incredibly satisfying to watch. Can't think of a better design for any element in this. The characters, places, effects, lighting ... pretty much perfect. Bravo

The movie Soul by pixar reminded me of this, the jerrys remind me of time, not only the design but also their voices sound alot like time’s to me

I like how time’s last words are “cool”.
In the end, all lives and dies at the steady breath of time.
Everything is a cycle. The animation itself is one. There is a progression from conflict to resolution, but in the end, it repeats itself, probably endlessly as the seasons do.

The animation was splendid, it was so hard to take my eyes off the screen and not to mention the voice acting. Their voices were so soothing~
This is beautiful... Who will always be is time, we do not appreciate it, but it is where we are. It is never too late to appreciate it, the existence of us and the whole is more beautiful than we can imagine, we just have to give the best of us being ourselves, for ourselves.

Ça fait tellement plaisir de voir une allégorie aussi bien traité :D Le design du temps est parfait par sa simplicité apparente, et se justifie si bien quand on voit le reflet dans la montre. Just a touch of time and this girl has a silver streak in her hair. What a beautiful metaphor and reminder - no one can't hide from time. Simple style of animation says us about difficult things. Bravo!

time's design is so inspired... the white color with the circular face and nose? it looks just like an office clock! and the way it's shape can change and morph reminds me of how time is relative/something i heard about time being a fluid... i didn't know you could make a vague concept so endearing.

How do these only get better and better as I keep watching them??
I don't know if it's what they intended, but when time kept annoying the girl, it reminded me of anxiety and this unrealistic goal of keeping only the good things and life and just wanting to catch a break and rest.
When time died it reminded me of depression. How everything seems to just stop and you feel like you're stuck in a dark place, until times inevitably moves on and shows you a different perspective again.

It is interesting how they write time as indiffirent, but not mean spirited. They finds the human cute for trying to stop them, but they just does what they do, didnt try to explain themself, just "well, I was and will always be here, so, yeah, make lemonades out of the lemons, as I guess you humans would say?"
