I was thinking of heading up this upcoming weekend. I might push it off until later when the snow is more melted. Thanks for this video, it makes me want to head up there even more!
@@simpleinstinct One more weekend was the key. We went up there today and it was free of snow. The video doesn't do the road justice; it was way more fun than expected.
Good times Offroad, get a Detroit locker in that rear diff, will help you immensely. I had one in my 1985 full size Bronco, bullet proof 9 inch,, 2 WD most of the day. Have fun
The E locker in the rear are usually pretty good . I upgraded my front to a torsen out of a raptor. Huge improvement. Great truck you have there. I would love to go on trails like that.
Thanks for posting this. I was there today in a 2" lifted F-150 with 34" tires, and decided against going through 3:40. Did you hit your diff? I will probably try again with a couple of maxtrax to the right of that rock.
Also, with all the intense off-roading you do, what all maintenance have you had to do or any 4x4 failure of components besides that one time with the actuator?
Do you have the electric E locker that Ford has on this truck? If so doesn't look like it's engaging? Once that back tire comes up it just spins and you teeter totter and stop. Acting like a open diff? I've saw in another video you mentioned the E locker in a comment so wondering if it's just that crappy or what haha. I have the same truck with E locker so just wondering. Haven't tried it out fully yet though.
@@simpleinstinct hmm shouldn't be doing that, once it's locked shouldn't have the open diff action at all. I guess I have to get out there and give mine a try to see if it does the same thing.
@@simpleinstinct So after some research, apparently if you go over 20 mph it'll disengage or it should, and if you let it roll backwards at all it disengages. And takes a bit for it to re engage. Sounds like a air locker would be the better route and stay locked. But it came with the truck so I'll use it till it breaks haha
I want to buy a 2024 Ford F-150. There are two engines, a 5.0v8 and a 3.5 turbo. Which one is better in the long run in terms of service, less mechanical problems, less fuel consumption, better towing power and in the desert? I am following your beautiful channel and subscribe and like.
Love your videos! Ordered an f150 and can’t wait to drive it, until then I’m binging your videos! Thanks for taking the time to make these.
Thank you for watching! Congratulations on the new truck.

Great content nice to see the F150

I agree, the factory locker is a joke.

Thank you and that's a good idea about the front diff.
Sick trail!
Hey bro! Thanks for watching. It's a cool trail for sure.
Great video as always, dood
Thank you.
Good video. I've got the same truck. Give her some gas and hit it. Momentum. That's how we do it in the South.
Not as much mud up here, gotta be slow around some of these big rocks. Already bashed a few things. 👌

It sounds like I might have hit it. Better wheel placement or a spotter would have mitigated that. Also, you could just throw a rock down in there.
Surprised you made it that far on a full size, I been up there with my FJ and 4Runner and it get tight and rutted in couple spots ✊
Been up there a few times. Last group run we had a diesel f250 that made it up too. It is tight in a full size though.
You can walk up from Esmeralda Basin. Ingalls pass th. Longs pass.
I assume you go in from opposite side cle elum then find start point.
Ford f150 4 life
💯

I keep an eye on the suspension components, but so far nothing has worn out or broken. 🤞
I’ve lived in Washington state my 45 years never been to that spot. How does one get to it?
Thank you
If you follow Salmon LA Sac Rd out of Cle Elum, it'll be on your right. Trails are all marked. Take NF rd 4330.

Right on!
Thank you!
Looks like a lot fun! Nice trail with some ruts. What does the lake it’s self look like?
It's a cool little alpine lake tucked up against a high peak. Hopefully I can actually get up there soon.
What part of Washington is it in?
Ellensburg area.

I do have an OEM e locker. It's hit or miss when it'll work though. Good eye.

I think it also automatically unlocks to protect the axles. I'm not really sure.
@@simpleinstinct it shouldn't but maybe it does. Have to research that.

What wass the Facebook page called??
I'm in a few groups. It might be Washington Overland or Wenatchee Offroaders.

Another Bitchen video of off-roading angles👍🏼
Thank you 🤘
air down to 15 psi front 10 psi back you probably would of make it even with open diffs!
The snow was too deep. Airing down wasn't going to help this time.
