There really is no hatred between Igbos and Yorubas, what you have is a power struggle. Nigerians have been acculturated to hate one another so the Oyinbo can tell them who they want. The Brits created enmity to rule so we do not unite against them. Now, that Oyinbo is no longer here, the struggle continues, but in the meantime Nigeria continues to rot! They need to get over themselves and unite the nation for the greater good.
This hate continues even outside of Nigeria. I'm from Benin, but I live in the UK. My street is 50% populated by Nigerians, mostly Yorubas. Since the first time my Yoruba neighbours asked me which tribe I'm from, 8yrs ago, and I told them, they've barely spoken to me ever since. Haven't done a single thing to them. Funny thing is my Arab and White neighbours are more friendly and look out for me more than my Yoruba neighbours. Go figure.
This Yoruba hatred on the Igbos stems from Awolowo in the 1950s who refusing to concede defeat in the western region elections after the victory of Zik's NCNC party, decided to play the tribal card and had elected leaders defect to his AG party. Thus the Yoruba hatred on the Igbos was sown. Awolowo as Finance minister displayed this again by seizing all the money of the Igbos in the banks and gave them only £2 to start life afresh. The Igbos are still richer and wealthier than the Yorubas today. Tinubu and Sanwo Olu are still today playing the same tribal sentiment card like their Father Awolowo.
There is a root in politics. An arrangement between Zik and Awo fell through and we are all eating breakfast for it till today. That's where the trust issue began in my view. is there a way to heal from the wounds of the past? Perhaps, if we decide we are one country and not tribes.
@@adenrelemofolasayo2778 The problem is in Nigeria we don't have nationhood because we are a nation of different major/minority tribes and particularly because the seed of "my tribal identity first" was sown deep before the country became independent which led to unchecked massive endless corruption and looting. It just cannot work with our system of government from the center. Check Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia etc it was the same problem. It only worked in Switzerland because there was a common goal to create a country and all the tribes (German, French, Italian, Roman) have equal rights and opportunities as they operatea true federal system where the regions are stronger and thr center is weaker. It's just a matter of time, Nigeria will be balkanized and I would wish to see it in my lifetime. Ask yourself why Ahmadu Bello was more interested in becoming the premier of the north than prime Minister. Because the regional government was stronger.
Am neither yoruba no ibo, but i can tel u 4free, dat ibos hate yoruba morethan yoruba hates ibos....i havent seen an igbo dat doesnt hate d yoruba, but u can see alot of yorubas dat genuinely love ibos. Ibis even hate demselves talkless of hating yorubas
Awolowo who is viewed as the favorite son of the Yoruba was very treacherous against Igbos. The best way to describe his behavior with Azikiwe and later with Ojukwu can only be described as two-faced. If there is anything as for the final show of an informed Igbos distrust of Yorubas is the abandoned property and 20 pound policy pushed by Awolowo after Igbo experienced geniocide at the hands of Nigeria. One would ask why do this to a people that were never your direct enemy unlike the Fulani...unless you have deep envy and hatred of them. You cannot point to any equivalent offences of the Igbo against the Yoruba. The only people that are confused about this subject don't know history. Yorubas are aware because their elders push the same Igbophobia propoganda that is the staple of "One Nigeria."
Please stop the propaganda and fabricated lies; produce facts and evidence instead. The Igbos resent the Yorubas because they believe the Yoruba people worked against them during the civil war, which is entirely misguided. Azikiwe was a tool in the hands of the colonialists- more or less a political jobber. Azikiwe forged an alliance between the Igbos and the Northerners. It was this alliance that planted the seeds of resentment towards the Igbos in the Northern region (hear from Ahmadu Bello: ua-cam.com/video/5_odAy4rVz8/v-deo.html). Please hold Ojukwu responsible for leading Igbos to a war he didn't prepare for. Stop blaming the Yoruba people for the failure and terrible mistakes of your past leaders. Regarding the abandoned properties, these videos refute your claim (1) By Onyeka Onwenu -ua-cam.com/video/eqloDz6smcw/v-deo.html - watch from 20:00 to 21:10); (2) Asiodu -ua-cam.com/video/BhKaBRXo1iU-/v-deo.html 19:00 to 20:00 . Awolowo even helped with the implementation of the 20-pound policy(on humanitarian grounds); if it were solely up to Gowon, nothing would have been offered to the Igbos. Yet, you think the Yorubas hate the Igbos. Please, in which other region of Nigeria, besides Igboland, do you find more Igbos with access to landed properties?. You could also read this book instead of propagating falsehood: "Why we struck: The Story of the First Nigerian Coup". Also, Aguiyi Ironsi (an Igbo man) abolished regional system of government and created the unitary system("One Nigeria") that you are blaming the Yoruba people for. Adekunle Fajuyi (a Yoruba officer) lost his life because he tried to prevent the Northern military officers from eliminating Ironsi in Ibadan.
The Yoruba person only likes an Igbo when he has something he is aiming to get from him. If any Igbo thinks a Yoruba person likes him he is deceiving himself and will soon regret it.
Yorubas do not get anything from Igbos. Igbos get everything from Yorubas and Yoruba land. Yorubas will miss nothing if all Igbos go back to SE. But Igbos cannot survive that situation. Igbos are not qualified to discuss tribalism with Yorubas. Because Igbos are disastrously tribalistic. Every Yoruba man that went to Igboland to do successful business went missing and got killed. IGBOS OFFER OTHERS NOTHING apart from destruction. So you guys should stf up. Yet they are not less than 6 million on Yoruba soil
The two groups are poles apart, The Yorubas are as old as storm rock with deep civilization behind them. They invented the greatest empire in Africa. The OYO EMPIRE, it was testified and endorsed by Buccaneers. Even few UA-camrs who came from other ethnic groups had approved the history, richness, morals, and identity of Yorubas.
When some tribe are a criminal tribe thinking about taking over the land of a much bigger tribe. When people are drugs pushers and in prisons all over the world. When people collect money from their hosts and are saying people who have given them money for 100 years belong to gutters. When people have been chased from the north in their millions for over 7 decades, when the same people made Nigeria to loose British Cameroon because those ones could not stay with them as their neighbors, when people have converted Ibibio land to their own. IGBOS problems are everywhere they go including prisons in Indonesia, Brasil, Malaysia, Thailand.... everywhere
It is true.. The Yorubas secretly or openly hate the Igbos. It is there. Brymo amd other "educated" Yorubas bring out that side of them from time to time...
The murder rampages of Adekunle, the secret deportation of Igbos by Fashola, the blatant demolitions of Igbo properties in Lagos and Abuja by Yoruba proxies makes it hard for an Igbo to love Yorubas.
Inferiority complex and envy seeing a person better than you makes Yoruba hate igbos, they used style working with north against us. Not granting us functionable international airport and sea port in order to remain in their land. Lagos was built with our resources but biafra will surprise them soon no retreat no surrender
Understatement we Yoruba never feel inferior to anyone on this earth. We have the education and our minds are open and have no time to shrug shoulders with ibos on anything. We have world view not micro perspective. Imagine, how on earth can we be feeling inferior about you? The only thing is that we are pissed of with arongance and shadinness of an average ibo man
Hardly will you see an igbo man or woman hating and been bitter about yoruba people. And I'm not just saying it because I'm Igbos, but of all the ethnic groups in nigeria, Igbos love Yorubas more. That's why a yoruba man will easily marry an igbo lady without stress. Hardly you see an igbo family reject or pursue a yoruba suitor.
@wonderfulera63490 They are all running away from their different SE states to South West because they are killing themselves there, deeply primitive, violent, and backwards people 🙄
You really dont know why all the hate ???? and you are married to an igbo ???? Let me tell you little: (1) Their grand parents succeeded in separating the igbos into South east and South South. (2) They succeeded in keeping the international Seaports and Airports in Lagos and none in the South east. (3)They succeeded in sharing the presidency between them and the north. etc Hard the igbos had an (1) international Seaport (2) International Airport (3) Resource Control (4) State or Regional policing. The hate would have balance equal sides or stoped .
This hatred issue is a one way issue. It's Igbophpbia. Igbo people are too busy trying to survive any where they find themselves. Igboland is being economically strangulated by Nigerian government through lack of infrastructure. All the hate is targeted at the Igbo.
Living with the Yorubas for some years i understand their hatred is just unnecessary and jealous some don't even have any reason but cuz they hear some Yorubas say dey don't like Igbo dey just join imagine a 5/7years old kid telling you Igbo oloriburuku ni gbo gbo wan
Watching and listening to this video I detected clear overtones of bias and divisiveness on the part of the host. Further evidence of this can be seen in the way this host has responded to comments from opposite sides of the Yoruba vs Igbo debate. On the one hand she berates those who call out her video as being biased and insults them by saying that they are “very stupid” whereas on the other hand she is very understanding and accepting of those who are equally objectionable about Yorubas and call for a New Biafra. Let’s be clear here that for a Biafra to exist would probably mean the spilling of lots of innocent blood. If her intent was not to be divisive she should have cited examples from both sides as examples of how irrational the hate is. However all she did was cite examples of Yoruba hate which she has posted on social media. For the record, I could tell you of many instances where both groups have been hateful towards one another and also many instances when they have been helpful to each other.
@blackmagic6 Hello. Thank you for your comment, I appreciate Comments without insults. I am not biased. I am neither Yoruba nor Igbo. I only insult pple who send insultive comments. Thank you.
I think they both need to stop. For one I have witnessed Igbo’s not like liking some Yorubas as well and vice versa. But for the most part they get along. Sometimes these things are taught growing up. I am Happy I don’t have that problem. There is good and bad on all sides.
Only the host of the video will have such knowledge. If you listen to her narrative, which we shouldn't promote or share with our friends, family, or kids, you will be on watch even if you have never seen a Yoruba person before. Each person has a different experience.
I am a Igbo is diaspora.(My moms is Igbo) I have never been to Lagos, only to East Africa (pops is Amhara) Kenya Ethiopia and Egypt. My co worker(Yoruba)whom I was super cool with, mid spasms out me and says why don’t Igbos go back to your own land why do yall buy up all the nice homes in Lagos. And called us Jews 😂! I couldn’t even saying anything back 😂 except one love! Mind you I’m American it is race first African vs every one as opposed to the homeland with ethnic groups! My grandma is a professor in African Studies so I do have an academic mind for africa but this and the comments fill in the blanks. Glad you did the video
The Igbo man is too busy hustling and trying to create his comfort zone. Most of the comment is drawn out of envy cos naturally, if others take a step, the igbo man tends to take 3 steps more and he does it not out of trying to spit other tribes men but out of his natural instincts for performance and achievement. Thats why it seems like the Igbo man has a dominating spirit.
The Yorubas killed more Igbos in Igboland than any other tribe. Black Scorpion (Benjamin Adekunle) killed more Igbos in Rivers state than the Hausas killed in Kaduna.
@@BunmiOlaseni Go and study the documentaries and read the books already written about the civil war. That is if you really care about the constant and never ending harassment, discrimination, destruction of the Igbo people and their businesses and properties. There is no denying what happened in the last election on in real life and recorded livestream videos.
@@keepitsimple313 Please mention the names of the books and share the links to the specific documentaries you referred to. Based on my observation, most Igbos got wrong indoctrination from their ancestors about the Yorubas. I recommend this book to you: "Why we struck: The Story of the First Nigerian Coup". You will then understand that Nnamdi Azikiwe was an instrument of the colonialists and Ojukwu caused the death of the Igbos by leading them to a war he never prepared for. He even wrongly executed brilliant Igbo officers, including a brilliant Yoruba officer(Victor Banjo) who was fighting on the side of the Eastern army solely on the grounds of suspicion/false accusation. I should also remind you that it was Johnson Thomas Umunnakwe Aguiyi-Ironsi that abolished the regional system of government in Nigeria -turning Nigeria to "One Nigeria(unitary)" system which everybody is now a victim of. Also, various sources confirmed that after the civil war, properties belonging to the Igbos were returned to them in Lagos, yet Igbos see Yorubas(an entire tribe) as their enemies- Evidence 1 by Onyeka Onwenu (ua-cam.com/video/eqloDz6smcw/v-deo.html - watch from 20:00 to 21.10); evidence 2-Asiodu (ua-cam.com/video/BhKaBRXo1iU-/v-deo.html 19:00 to 20:00) . If you look at Nigeria today, the southwest is the only region where you find other tribes (mostly Igbos) thriving, buying properties etc. That gesture is almost unrequited for the Yorubas in other parts of Nigeria. Finally, the Igbos claimed Awolowo hated them, but Awolowo made free education accessible to all tribes(including Igbos) in the old western region---Igbos didn't even get free education in the old eastern region. I will end by saying that the current crop of politicians in southwest Nigeria are not true ambassadors of the Yoruba people; they thrive on ethnic/tribal division and will only use tribal sentiments exhibited by the Igbo communities in their respective states against them.
Does it mean that any body that is yellow is igbo? I know igbos have lot of yellow people but that doesn't identify a particular tribe. The only way you can know igbos is there good looks
All I can see here is one sided view from the owner of this channel. It is better to be a trouble shooter than festering it. I have got so many ibo friends and we like and respect one another. Of course there are bad eggs and good eggs amongst both tribes. Also, the role histories play can never be over emphasised, I believe history that are told or related with bias went on breeding the unhealthy competition and hatred amongst. Like I have said it balances out when you hear hateful comments and inclinations coming from ibo side towards the Yorubas as well. The only thing is to forget about the past and heal the future with love
It's not a hate issue rather it's of complex , inferiority complex on both settlers is the case here , one is from available cash disposable background and one is from salary calculated spending background , both backgrounds have very strong arguments against each other which unfortunately the products misinterpret into hate and jealousy , since both lack proper definition of their arguments they resort to gossips and scandals . Those of us with complete 2 balls and 2 boobs enjoy each other at the expense of your worries
Your politicians are promoting the hate deliberately. To distract you, so you can't unite and align and rise up against them. Was there such acute tribal bigotry in Obasanjos regime? Or Osibanjo? This all smells of Tinubu. That's what he and his cohorts need
If the this two tribes dont like themselves, why cant they put more efforts to have their own independent countries instead of them wanting to stay together to hate themselves and pulling each other down.?
The fake one Nigeria 🇳🇬 Unity is often pushed by mostly the yorubas and fulanis but behind the curtains they are constantly sabotaging the South East and South South. Case in point..look at the recent elections that was just concluded. We witnessed the live destruction of Igbo people's properties and businesses. The threats, harassment, violence meted out on them because they wanted the igbo people not to vote for Peter Obi. The whole world saw it. There is no denying this at this point.😒
If I were you, I would ask the people I had these experiences with why they think the way they do. When I interact with them, I may be able to have a better perspective of where they are coming from and probably change their minds with superior argument and evidence. i wouldn't dismiss people without hearing them out. I wouldn't say hate comes more from one side because someone else could have a totally opposite experience. In interacting with them, I would want to know what experiences shaped their views on a people? Are they basing their judgement on one experience or is there a pattern? i would want to know so I will ask questions. Those of us you are asking may not have their experience so we can't speak from their perspectives. It may be real experiences and it may be untrue stereotypes. I would also go into history on the people groups because only an understanding of the past can help deal with the present and make for a better future. Is there a history behind all these brouhaha? What was said? Who said it? Who did what? When? Why? With whom? What was the result? How do we fix it? That's the way forward.
I normally do not comment on platforms however, I believe that it is not such a good thing to speak as a whole on all Igloos and Yorubas. You had some negative experiences whereas someone as myself has had beautiful and wonderful experiences with both. Human beings outside of the Holy Spirit will disappoint you. In every culture, you will have good and bad people. For you to make this video, you must have felt bad but for me. I will talk and say that in my 47 years on this earth, I have never had a negative experience like that because I choose not to. I regard and respect everyone and I do not pay premium to race, ethnicity, etc. see people as people of God and go from there. Just my little input. God bless you.
Don’t forget the worst racial profile is in America, I will tell you to your face Nigerians love each others so well, infact Yoruba and ibo are friends more than Hausa”s , the reason being our political elites who made us against each others, using their street urchins, for their political gains, but take note of this , politicians already shot themselves, now we all now believe that politics is not more about tribe but capability, competence, Hungry don Dey straighten their fish heads.
8:30 Understand if you are Esan, Afamai, Ogbona and Ika in Edo, you are closer or related to Igbo than Yorubas. These areas are where you will find all the light skin in Edo. The Edo people from Benin are the ones related to yoruba. If you notice they are more darker in complexion.
D igbo were obviously against yoruba and d yorubas especially were against ibos, its heartbreaking. But i can tell u of influencial yorubas dat mobilised for obi. One thing u cant take from yorubas is their open mindedness.
It boils down to upbringing and circle of friends you have. If you grew up around your parents hating and talking about other cultures, you'll automatically be like them. Just recently, I read about one Majekodunmi, Aare Ona Kakanfo of Egbaland, who was a retired army officer and a medical doctor, in his 90s, said that Obasanjo's father is an Igbo police officer and that was why Obasanjo was supporting an Igbo person (Peter Obi) for president. Despite this old man's age, army training and education, he only saw tribe as the differentiating factor in the past presidential election. It is what it is. I live in the United States and the most referrals I get for my small business comes from a Yoruba lady and I am Igbo. My circle of friends here are from different ethnicity/tribes and nobody is disrespectful of each other. It's just sad seeing people being stopped from voting because they look like "Igbos". Like you rightfully stated, some Igbos are also hateful of Yoruba and could be disrespectful too.
Envy, nothing else. Though it still points back to the Awo-Zik pre independence NCNC election as one of the commenters opined which is true if you're a student of history and political science. The modern day Yoruba hatred for Igbo (The Old Eastern Region inclusive) is borne out of successful and braggadocio nature of the Easterners. I've lived and still living with both, the hatred is more from the Westerners, you are very correct. In fact, the Easterners trust their non tribal persons than theirs. This is the solemn truth about this matter. History shows that the SW always betray the Easterners politically. GEJ, PMB and BAT Eras should be a proof to that.
One Lagos is a problem for Ndi Igbo before you start asking why two things seaport( Airport international) transferring our head working jobs into their region they are working with the Northern nigeria against the Eastern parts and other Nigerians.
As a non ibo/yoruba person observing from outside i have seen that ibos are the cause of their hatred believe it or not... having interacted with both tribes.. their character and lifestyle is just so irritating,i know what am saying
You are talking about light skin as if all Igbos are light skinned complexions, that is funny to me., nothing is special about skin tones or light skin complexion because every tribes in Nigeria have variation of skin tones or complexions be it very dark, light, brown etc the Yoruba has it, Fulani has it and the Igbos and every other people in the country.
Inferiority complex dey worry other tribes in Nigeria, Igbos are bigger, better than them all, whom God has blessed no amount of hatred can stop it. Just a matter of time Igbos will take over not only Nigeria but the entire world. Igbos are destined for greatness.
Perhaps other people groups are destined for failure! When people read these kind of comments, it simply cements their prejudices in their minds and who will lose when there is no trust?
This is a common mentality amongst ibos and it shows how depraved minded people like you are. Do you know how many Yorubas and Hausas that are making waves in every ramifications of life both inside and outside Nigeria? No tribe has it all. We can only complement ourselves in the areas of weaknesses and strength. But to think that ibos are more successful than other races in Nigeria, my friends you are joking
Is only in lagos state igbos invested masssive if it wasn't it ,i didn't think igbos will, because it was former capital, also today ,abuja is developing faster more any other state, any igbo person still plan to buy or invest in lagos is d most foolish person.
Investing in Lagos or Abuja is a big risk for anyone who is from the South East, given what's been going on with the constant destruction, burning and demolition of Igbo businesses and properties. Use your tongue to count your teeth. Let wisdom guide your decisions.
My Opinion. No one was born with a hatred for any tribe... It's either fed by Parents, Neighbours, Peers, Media, News, or Experience... The geographical spread in Nigeria speaks a lot about how accommodating any tribe is. If any part has less of other tribes it speaks volumes of their tribalistic Nature and the geo-political regions can't be wished away any policy to straighten the system should be implemented across board and mind you tribalism is not only in Nigeria its everywhere in the world. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Let he that comes to Equity come with clean hands
I think you don't know the genesis of the hate between the Yoruba race and the Igbo race in Nigeria or you are intentionally biased because you are married to an Igboman. I say this because you said it's more on the Yoruba than the Igbos.
Just tell your self the truth most Yorubas just don't like Igbo for some funny reasons you guys can do better cus you have Yorubas in every other parts of the country and the outside world in the whole country at large is only your people who tell others to go back to their place forget dey have their own living in other places without any harassment from host communities❤
The annoying thing is when they tell you guys the truth, you immediately start Gaslighting. Stop this hate and tribalism mainly from the Yorubas. Yorubas have the highest number of tribal bigot in Nigeria
I don't think so. You people seem to be seriously bothered by so called hatred. If you doubt it read again the comment of average Igbo person about the topic
I'm amused when young people discuss this topic. And it's a failure on the part of the older generation. Unfortunately, history was removed from the curriculum in the educational system. Truth is, there is no hatred amongst the two ethnic nationalities. They are two nations that share no commonality. The british created that abominable union; hence, it's all about survival! Now if black people are normal, all they need to do is 'undo' the british mischief! Why is britain, france and Germany not one country? Yoroba ronu!
The yorubas have always tolerated the igbos... That is why they were able to live comfortably in lagos and yoruba land.. But the igbos are so disrespectful, want to dominate you. Highly tribalistic, the hausas from onset understood the igbos and never agreed with them. The yorubas just felt worse with the politics of lagos, how can you be in my own land and want to dictate for me, go to onitsha, go to Aba and tell me how many other tribes you find there, i have stayed in eastern Nigeria and i make bold to say with present mentality, the igbos cannot rule this nation There are some few exception to this
Kanye West is not a pauper despite what he said. Sometimes one has to speak up. As for the issue with Yorubas and Igbos. It is not rocket science. Nigeria is a geographical expression and not a country. When you group people together who have nothing in common then that becomes the genesis of future conflict. Every tribe has good and bad. Let us keep deceiving ourselves. At the end of the day I was raised to look at the individual person not the tribe. I am a proud Igbo man and whoever wants to hate me that is their own wahala. As for the musical artist you mentioned....nobody really cares what he thinks. Many people have to be seen to be relevant so they will often say things out of stupidity!!!! Many people from the Green white Green nation don't know the history of their so called nation. The last elections was nothing new if you know history when you see things happen in the future it does not surprise you.
If you're busy looking for someone who hates you, you are probably too idle. Find something to do please and stop blaming others for what you get as a result of your attitude. The lazy ones among Igbo people always say "they hate us" ..the hardworking ones are propering all over Yoruba land.. thanks to accommodating spirit the Yorubas
So, you choose to ignore people’s experiences and choose to blame the “lazy” Ibo people for the hatred and inhumanity meted out to them. That is the problem - truth allergy. What a shame!
Accommodating spirit of the Yorubas? 😂 Accommodating indeed. Igbos are everywhere making money. Yorubas are looking on with envy and are satisfied to sell lands to them. Omonile. I'm not Igbo. But I lived in Lagos, and you can tell for a certainty that IGBOS ARE TOLERANT OF THE YORUBAS. Of their shenanigans. And in any case, all of these hatred discourse is big on the public space because of the person who is ruling Nigeria. The father of ethnic bigotry and divisions. Evil begets evil. The ethnic divisions and contentions suit their purpose. So they can go looting the common wealth, while you all fight each other
Do you know what it means by saying you accommodate people you claimed to be of one country?no one is accommodating anyone,if you want to clame you accommodate anyone, why cant you just have your own country let's know yorubas are from different country and igbos are of different country, then when you say you're accommodating people of deferent country.
Accommodate? These Yorubas talk as though they're doing "some people some good" . As though, seriously, yorubas aren't in other places? Go to Port Harcourt and Benin city, among other places, yorubas have settlements! The owners of the communities accommodating them. What do they do? Menial work. Many are labourers, taxi drivers and the women put wares on trays and go out to hawk. Yet no one looks down on anyone. So stop speaking like you're doing the igbos some favour by having them prosper in your land. They prosper by virtue of the stuff they're made of! If you were to ask who lazy people are in Nigeria, I doubt anyone would mention yorubas. Just own up to the evil displayed by your tribes men during the last elections in Lagos, and let people be! Nonsense

Go figure.
Are you serious????? wowwww
@@TheAboTalkshowThe Yorubas are so hàtèful.
That is exactly where it all started from.
Please, which book did you read this story? Kindly recommend the text.
You are bad person, 80% ibo's are operating in ondo state. No problem between us but politicians are using our folks to make money

The hate is all about jealousy because when someone is stronger and more successful than you ,you intend to jealous them
Exactly!oooh ur 100% right, progress brings envy and jealousy
When some tribe are a criminal tribe thinking about taking over the land of a much bigger tribe. When people are drugs pushers and in prisons all over the world. When people collect money from their hosts and are saying people who have given them money for 100 years belong to gutters. When people have been chased from the north in their millions for over 7 decades, when the same people made Nigeria to loose British Cameroon because those ones could not stay with them as their neighbors, when people have converted Ibibio land to their own. IGBOS problems are everywhere they go including prisons in Indonesia, Brasil, Malaysia, Thailand.... everywhere
That is what happened when different people are forced together and called them nigeria
Every good point!!!
Tribalism is worse than racism . A lot of times, tribal bigotry is something passed on from generation to generation .
really sad .
The rule of laws must be obeyed. Why is it that some groups like to be a menace and nonentity to be rational
50th like. Zambian here, really enjoyed your take on this
Inferiority complex and envy seeing a person better than you makes Yoruba hate igbos, they used style working with north against us.

Thank you.

Nope, we aren't.

Case in point..look at the recent elections that was just concluded. We witnessed the live destruction of Igbo people's properties and businesses. The threats, harassment, violence meted out on them because they wanted the igbo people not to vote for Peter Obi.
The whole world saw it.

The yorubas just felt worse with the politics of lagos, how can you be in my own land and want to dictate for me, go to onitsha, go to Aba and tell me how many other tribes you find there, i have stayed in eastern Nigeria and i make bold to say with present mentality, the igbos cannot rule this nation
There are some few exception to this
She obviously dont know history
👏👏👏👏
If you're busy looking for someone who hates you, you are probably too idle. Find something to do please and stop blaming others for what you get as a result of your attitude. The lazy ones among Igbo people always say "they hate us" ..the hardworking ones are propering all over Yoruba land.. thanks to accommodating spirit the Yorubas
So, you choose to ignore people’s experiences and choose to blame the “lazy” Ibo people for the hatred and inhumanity meted out to them. That is the problem - truth allergy. What a shame!
Accommodating spirit of the Yorubas? 😂
Accommodating indeed.
Nonsense
I will never blame you rather I will only blame Azikiwe.
If her intent was not to be divisive she have cited examples from both sides as examples of how irrational the hate is. However all she did was cite examples of Yoruba hate which she has posted on social media. For the record, I could tell you of many instances where both groups have been hateful towards one another and also many instances when they have been helpful to each other.
We just need to find a way out of this mess we are in. We can't move forward as a country with this level of division.
@@adenrelemofolasayo2778: I agree with you.

First of all STOP with the gaslighting.
What happened in the recently concluded elections revealed to many of us that Nigeria is still not ready for progress or to join other countries in Africa who are making great strides economically.
We witnessed in real life and recorded livestream videos for the whole world to see..Igbo people being threatened, harassed, beaten up, shot at, killed, businesses and properties burnt down and destroyed because they wanted to vote for change as represented by the candidate Peter Obi.
You can't keep denying the obvious. That most of the hate comes from the Yorubas.
Did Igbo people retaliate by destroying Yoruba people's properties and businesses. NOPE.
Enough said 😠
U see urselve, already fall to the igbo side. Now that u are married to igbos u believe the heat is from yorubas.
You are not Igbo so why are you so concerned about this so called profound hatred for the Igbo people. You don’t look Igbo for anyone to mistake you for one.
Madam Cynthia Ihenacho Cho Cho Cho talk talk. How do you know I am not igbo?????
Less than 200 views in 6 months says it all.

That's only when situations is between both ethnic igbo and yorubas. But when it comes to the matters concerning Benin or Edo, both igbo and yorubas will come together against the Benin. Then they are one.😊
You're here promoting hatred
you are not in your right senses!
I wanted to say the same thing about the host. This is very bad.
Instead of promoting unity.

My sis , if you are not Hausa you are Igbo , All the South South are considered Igbos to the Yorubas…..
The yorubas have always tolerated the igbos... That is why they were able to live comfortably in lagos and yoruba land..
But the igbos are so disrespectful, want to dominate you.
Highly tribalistic, the hausas from onset understood the igbos and never agreed with them.
