I do recall though that the following episode there was a time skip, so we never got to see how Bobby and Fisher built their new relationship with each other
One of the best scenes in the early years when they softened up Flathead Fisher. Flathead found out that his arch enemy was his daughter following an affair he had with his wife's (eventually ex wife's) sister.
Home and Away nowadays tries to be a glossy Hollywood movie. It has forgotten what it is, a soap about foster kids. If you look at the filming style of Eastenders, it has remained constant from 1985 to Present. Somewhere in the mid 2000's, H&A started using stylised tracking shots, and today they use a soundtrack which is contemporary but doesn't fit with the content on the screen. It's overused. There is nothing wrong with just dialogue. H&A was so much better when they used their bespoke incidental soundtrack.
So right @tvfromvcr8331. I think they need to get back to basics. My 10 Step Plan for Home & Away: 1, Bring back comedy characters like Martin & Lance. 2, Bring back the High School. This really is needed actually. 3, The headmaster or headmistress could have been there for the last few years, but obviously just never seen. School kids will also add a new energy currently missing. 4, Slow down with all the 'big' over the top storylines. Summer Bay is a small town. Not a city. Less is more. 5, Bring back some older characters. Connect with the past. 6, More comedy in the scripts. Or just more little light hearted. The last time I watched it it was 25 mins of seriousness. 7, The last time I watched it was like an Australian version of Hollyoaks. Too many unrealistic good looking characters. 8, Axe some of the current characters. 9, Build it around the caravan park, school, surf club & diner like back in the day. As well as the beach. I'd actually get rid of the pub. 10, Bring in characters that have lived in Summer Bay for years but never seen them. The other side of Summer Bay as such. So it's just not random newcomers. I'd love to be the new Producer. But I'm just glad Neighbours is returning.
@@BarryJL45 This is excellent. And I completely agree! I would add the wardrobe department needs to make people look like normal people again. Everyone looks far too polished. Irene used to look like a hillbilly, Marilyn used to be quirky, outgoing and little bit Barbie-esque. Nowadays everyone looks the same like they've been modelling catalogue clothing. Also, bring back flat lighting. Currently they have this awful trend of simulating natural sunlight which means that half the time everything looks really dark unless they're in the direct light. The color grading is also really undynamic and lacking in vibrant colour. Every episode looks like a commercial for IKEA and lacks individuality and character.
Fantastic. Of course. The wardrobe is again over the top and you're absolutely spot on about the lighting. It's all just too slick. Again, it's meant to be a small coastal town. Not New York. What a production team we'd make!
Absolutely true but I think it's near impossible to keep the same kind of quality and freshness consistently especially when you've been on for so many years and I say that even about Eastenders as do many others. I just think it's unrealistic to think that they can be original and different when there's so many of them. And there is so much wokeness and anti wokeness that there will always be certain people who want a true representation which includes LGBTQ and also topics for racism and sexcism, etc versus those that really believe those kind of issues shouldn't be seen on these kind of shows. They are what they are now and there's no going back.
Imagine finding out that the person you hated most and was your arch enemy was your father? Especially as you were created because your father had an affair with his wife's (soon to be ex wife's) sister?
Also on top of that: Your former school nemesis is your cousin You nearly got it on with your half brother Your Uncle runs the local shop and basically sat on the information for nearly 2 decades Your aunt is a pious churchy spinster Your other aunt is also your business partner
@@Hulk2k6 That's right. She did almost get it on with her half-brother. Her half sister was also her cousin and her school nemesis Kanga was her cousin and her ex husband's ex wife. Both were married to and divorced Frank.
When home and away and life in general was amazing.
Gosh, she was mesmerising all the way through... the early years of both home and away and neighbours were honestly remarkable...
Indeed
The writing back then… ❤️
One of the sweetest endings ever.
That would definitely gotten an award.
I wish home and away was like this today.
Me too!
Me three my goodness the show was so good in that era and the 1990s and 200-2010s
Sadly people would rather surf gangs and everyone in hospital/police station every 5 minutes
@Hulk2k6
It still sucked in the old days. Only now it's pathetic
Best scene in the show! (early years at least).. The acting, writing and emotion here, are all impeccable!
100% agree! 😍

So do i.i really love bobby theme too very much.i miss them both and really miss the old home and away
I loved Bobby's Theme
Bobbys hair is like a 14th century monk😂
Home and Away was absolutely brilliant in the early years. I don’t remember any who didn’t watch it.
Powerful scene.
Fisher was a great character firm but fair
Yeah, tough as old boots, but in reality he wasn't that bad really.
Bobby was my favourite ❤

Fantastic scene. Unfortunately, Home and Away isn't quite the same now.

1988
They used to hate each other, remember she used to call him "Flathead"?
Old ones were good.new ones crap now
