I really liked it because compared to the previous version, this PRO version of the CR Scan Ferret offers better object recognition and therefore easier scanning. It has the control unit for WIFI connection to make 3D scans without the cable and the possibility of scanning black or very dark parts.
The Software manages to recreate the 3D figure with a single scan.
That said, it has a lot to improve and you have to be very good to get a perfect 3D scan so, you have to do a lot of testing to get a good result.
Excellent for DIY if you want to create supports, in which case you simply need to scan the object and then use that scan to recreate the part to be added in 3D. Then you can print with a 3D.
If I had to give a personal evaluation:
9 for texture quality
7 for ease of scanning
6 for Software tools
8 for the quality/price ratio

Can you scan both the 'top' and the 'bottom' of an object and then combine them to create a full 360 model?
Seems like he did that with the turtle, maybe if you support is with a thin steel rod then you only have to snip that support off?

What do you mean by low price on a product like this? $100? Do you know the technology of a 3D scanner?
