Falling Spring Falls: Virginia’s 80ft Tropical Waterfall

We visited Falling Spring Falls in Covington, Virginia. The water fall plummets 80 feet to the bedrock making several emerald colored warm pools. If you want a quick tropical getaway in Virginia, Falling Spring Falls is a must see!

I literally drove nearly FOUR HOURS today to see this place and all we could do was LOOK at it from the road!!

NikkiKnight1015 Thats so sad! Hope it wasn’t a completely wasted trip. We have heard they’ve become more strict due to safety concerns and trespassing issues.

So are we allowed to go or not? What's the deal? Is this on private property? Sucks... this could be an amazing tourist destination.....

lo Alp From what we have heard/read is that they have posted no trespassing signs and are enforcing it. The virus drove a lot of people outdoors this year and many natural destinations saw over triple the foot traffic. This is likely in response to that and the property owner does not want the liability. There is a place to park and an overlook just off the road if you’re interested!

@@loalp9003 yes they are strictly enforcing the no trespassing and have rangers there that will ticket you if they catch you sneaking down!
