My grandfather has a very similar SS100 with the 4.2l drive train, however I can't remember the maker - it was some chap called Roger who also hand built his replicas. Roger used to race his SS100 replicas and I recall he got one up to 163mph with a modified 3.6l engine in it. My grandfather's SS100 was converted to foot steering and automatic transmission when he got Motor Neurone disease. He and it was featured in the Daily Telegraph. When he died he wanted it put back to normal, which it now is. One day I would like to make it look as beautiful as the ones in this video. Thank you for inspiring me :)
I love Suffolk Jaguar. They make a superb product bar none. I hope to own one before my life closes. That is a dream I hope that comes true. Just amazing rides they make. Thanks guys.
What a great company and very helpful, just about to start a self build C-type and in the process of ordering the chassis kit. I have spent a couple of years looking at the market and this is not a kit is a replica and the best on the market by far. Happy to share my experience of this build going forward.
WOW! When ever I see one of the SS100 replicas I am left in awe of the attention to detail that only Suffolk seem to achieve. The C - type is brilliant and sounds absolutely fantastic. Well done you guys. ....One day...
SS100 and the C-type; both brilliant cars. An amazing testament to the Jaguar marque by Suffolk, in superbly recreating these two enduring icons of automotive history.
Absolutely brilliant film guys, fabulous work too. Could I suggest a direct link to your site would help direct traffic and hopefully business. Again brill work Cheers Mike
Great cars, however, I will correct you on one thing, there were 57 C Types made, the last 4 were put together by Lynx, but are still classed as an original C Type, and rightly so.
Without a doubt, the most inspiring film about a garage that I've seen. Do you do tours? I am regularly venturing in one classic or another across East Anglia where there's much beautiful countryside to enjoy.
Love the car, but... Would it be possible to put a EU licence plate on it? The car documents are the ones of an Old Jaguar? I would pay taxes as in an Old car?
I don't know what the laws are in europe but here in california if you qualify as a boutique car maker you are exempt from most of the car regulations and can register the car
I guess JLR wanted exclusivity on chasing on on the retro racing Jaguars. I get JLR's point of view but it's a shame that the outcome was that this company had to close because of it.
I owned two Jaguars one Mk 2 in the 60th , and one XK 150, later in my life, no replica ever intrested me, no history. sorry rebuilding or restoration is much better
As an owner of a 1964 XKE (black) I can assure you the least desirable color is Primrose yellow you should run this whole video over again with a more popular color on your C type, or at least any color other than Primrose yellow. ugh
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party and Gretas FFF movement gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now these green heroes want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions- and smoke crime :-(

Wow finally a company is building cars that looks great and people want.
Great job on the production of these cars, 23 years well spent! The video is an example of the detail you put into your cars. Love to visit one day.

Is this yellow C-Type currently advertised for sale in Hemmings Motor News?
Love it!
What does Jaguar says about this?
I know there was small outfit making c type jags in new Zealand that were very high quality.aparently they made one for Jerry Seinfeld!
Wow 🤩 awesome
where do you find the crappy tyres?
Has Suffolk permanently closed shop?
I would like to know what a replica c type jaguar costs
Send me an email to fraser@suffolksportscars.com
In liquidation now.
oh dear shame, I guess that's down to everything in the last twelve months or so
