Thank you very much for your support, very helpful video!
Seems like Ralph has got a promotion (just compared his JT to an older video). Well, congratulations! Well deserved!
thanks for the video, I now know which connectors I need.
You bet! If you are looking to buy our RJ45 connectors, you can visit B&H Photo www.bhphotovideo.com/ or Full Compass www.fullcompass.com/ ;)
Can you put links to all these tools (Amazon?). Also would you have to buy these connectors also for making patch cables (would the cables be flexible enough for these short runs) or do you recommend going directly into a switch. Would you need a special patch panel to receive these; do they fit in standard cat5 sockets? Seems would be very expensive for a home network.
Hello Jayson! These tools are currently not being sold on Amazon, but we can notify you once these have been listed on another seller's website. In reference to your next question, it depends on the length of the patch cable. This is not a super flexible cable due to the size of both the cable and connector, so very short patching would be difficult. For 10Gbps networking, a better option might be to use our pre-terminated Cat6a patch cables for short patching seen here: secure.libertycable.com/product-categories/262/Category-LAN-Data+Patch+Cables The majority of the use we see is HDBaseT and USB extension applications.
The cable end connectors will connect with and fit in any standard cat5 jack. If you are referring to the keystone jacks, The Liberty Jacks are Keystone style, so they are interchangeable with most products in the market. However, the Cat6A jacks are 1.5X height, so they would not fit vertically in a high-density plate or panel -- side by side, no problem.
Jayson, you can find Liberty AV products on both B7H Photo -> www.bhphotovideo.com/ - or Full Compass -> www.fullcompass.com/
We are pulling together the tooling information and will circle back!
Is the colouringcode order different compared to the cat5e? Because there are wires in the cable that are completely white, no white-orange, white-green, ...
Yes, in a way. With the higher performing twisted pair cables like Cat7 and Cat8 and even some Cat6A, adding the color stripe on the white conductor has a detrimental effect on the signal performance. The cable won’t certify. So those conductors are not striped. This is why we teach performing the termination in stages, to prevent the opportunity to accidentally cross the wires.
So where do you get those connectors? the ones being sent to me thru Amazon are not big enough.
Hi Wade! If you do not have an account with Liberty, you can try purchasing the connectors through Full Compass or B&H Photo as we do not sell direct to consumers.
Why B? and not A for USA?
How can I buy those connectors in Italy? Amazon? I can't find them anywhere.
Hello Mirko, please reach out to internationalsales@libav.com; we will connect you with one of our international representatives that will make sure you are well taken care of!
Man wish there was a FLAT cable video out there.
I thought Cat7 did 25gbps? Or have I’ve been misinformed?
Hi David! Class FA or “Cat7A” has been used for 25G networking. Class F or “Cat7” is a 10G infrastructure cable. It is a non RJ45 network standard. Most of the America’s sell Cat7 more as a premium “Cat6A” cable - using 8P8C RJ45’s for networking and HDBaseT applications. Liberty’s plenum Cat7 is actually a Cat7A rated product.
@@LibertyAVSolutions oh ok! Thank you for the clarification!
