Enjoyed the walk and tracked it on my phone map. Also enjoyed the history. I looked at the chapel online. 1838 Primitive Methodist chapel. The Primitive Methodists were a back to basics Methodist working class movement formed at a rally at the top of the wonderfully named Mow Cop hill in Cheshire. That's a walk for another day? NB Beware of angry geese!

Thank you for the interesting info, will have to check out that Mow Cop Hill when possible. Will definitely keep avoiding grumpy geese where possible 😹 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

the old chapel you said is being converted is actually st lukes school, it was never a chapel.. the church used to stand behind the graveyard but collapsed in the 1800s after they built a tower onto it but it was to big and caused the whole church to collapse.. we lived in the cottage next door to the old school which was called st lukes school house... when we renovated the cottage we found lots of intersting things in the garden... part of the garage was the old toilets for the school... the school shut in 1907 and was left to fall into disrepair...
