Skegness is the best place I could be witch I am I love going here for my holidays I do miss my mates at home but I have some in Skegness as well so Yh . Skegness is the place everyone could wish to be at 🎉❤❤❤❤❤
in the 1950's through to the 80's I visited Skeggy hundreds of times and in three weeks I shall be there again for a day after many years, This video we minimise the shock of how its changed ..... Thanks for posting.
For 10 years we used to come here. It was always red hot and we never saw a cloud in the sky! We stayed in a B&B near the North Beach where I'd take our dog Sammy for his morning walk. Just go behind the main parade and there are many streets where you can park for free! Numerous attractions and places to go. A beautiful, clean town with many dog friendly cafes and pubs. Every day there's a large car boot somewhere and on a Sunday we'd go to Burgh Le Marsh for lunch. Plenty of nearby towns like Louth, Horncastle and Ingoldmels to visit. I wouldn't mind living there permanently!
Love the town. Beach is stunning. Considering how busy it can get there it is kept very clean. The gardens and landscaping are stunning. First holiday there with the family was in the late fifties and have seen many changes since then. Cannot think of a better place for a fun filled family holiday. Many thanks for another great video
We commented on one of this channels other videos saying just how smart and tidy it is, looks modern and well kept, while still have some older areas...
I grew up in Lincolnshire. Back in 1991 my boyfriend at the time and I went over to Skeg for the evening. We were sitting at the end of the pier. The staff obviously hadn’t seen us when they locked it up for the evening and we hadn’t realised they even locked up the promenade deck at night. I nearly broke my neck trying to get over the gates.
Inlive in skeg and i work saturdays and have been seeing alot more people with proffesional cameras. Its nice to see skegness is doing better since the pier got bought
Great video I enjoyed the walk I enjoyed the views beach pier and the walk from the beach to the pier enjoy res of day don't forget the captains hat😂😂 keep safe God bless 🤗🙏🍨🍺👍☀️🍦🤣
We love a trip to Skegness from our home in Rhyl, usually rake our van to Southview Leisure Park. The street lights remind me of the Martian craft in War of the Worlds.
Hi just watch your video of Skegness it’s a shame you didn’t turn your camera left as you were walking along the pier as our EAST COAST FAMILY BIKE HIRE is situated at the pier next to the beach bar. Next time your walking around skeg come and have a ride on one of our Quadracycles. You will have soo much fun 🤩
Ooooh now that's an idea - I have another channel and am about to collaborate with a big vlogger and we were looking for ideas of what to do! We could come and film a day on your quads! That would make a great video and would get you some real publicity!
Does anyone remember the scary animated clown in the glass case that was in the Pleasure Beach in the 70's / 80's? It used to smack against the glass and frightened kids and adults alike! Aaah the good old days... lol.
@@GimbalWalkTV yes my the company my son works for delivered it saying it wasn`t going to be driven but air lifted onto a dance floor for a private night club lol
About Tony's chip shop. Walk further into the town and when the road forks head down the alley (called chip pan alley for a reason! Lots of shops and cafes etc on the alley side, main road on the other) and look for eptons fish bar. Oldest and best chippy in skegness.
I'm coming in a few days 1st ever visit for a short day trip with my local coach company heading to Fantasy Island and finishing with seafront hoping to plan a longer visit in the future
We're going to Blackpool in July. Last July we went to Skegness. We went to Skegness the year before too. ( my sister & me.) The hotel we stayed at the lift kept getting Stuck, management thought it funny, I suffer from BAD claustrophobia, angina & osteoarthritis & I was SO afraid, very angry to be laughed at, needless to say I'm not staying at same hotel next time.

Only soft serve ice cream? Liking the tile work path, looks like waves. I would join you on the circuit. I went on one years ago was good fun, until my brothers got seriously competitive.
What does Skegness mean please?. Definitely a wonderful looking place to holiday at. Such a nice pier with beautiful scroll work, & plenty of seats. Hope you remembered you hat & sunscreen. And the beach...my mind went crazy ... beach cricket, volleyball, & Venice (a fun game with the rules of volleyball, using an inflated beachball & net at the height of a tennis net). Only warning is you may laugh until you pee.
No - I had to double check that myself - it's actually called Scarborough Esplanade believe it or not! I thought I was seeing things when I saw it myself for the first time!

I used to spend summers vacationing here as a kid in the mid 90s to 2000ish. Hasn't changed much at all. I definitely do miss the place!
Yeah it's not changed much has it! That's exactly what I thought when I was there. Same as it's always been!

It's a drier climate and the sea doesn't disappear for most of the day. 😁
Which seaside town would you recommend for a family visit: Scarborough, Skegness, Saltburn-by-the-Sea or Tynemouth, Tyne & Wear? Thanks
Scarborough every time!
