God has given us the freedom as he created us in the state of freedom.God is the way, truth and light and only through him you will be Saved by faith in his works.
I'm sorry but morality IS relative. Muslims believe in God AND men are allowed to marry 4 wives, who are you CATHOLIC to say to MUSLIM that he is WRONG based on YOUR religion ??? So YES morality is relative.
TheEmmaLucille, Mohammedans also believe that sex with children and the killing of homosexuals and the killing of non-believers and the thrice pronouncement of divorce or their honour killing based on whim is also entirely acceptable. When Catholic theology and Islamic theology clash there is a fundamental practical difference. And that is the societies that Catholics created are at their very best co-opted by Mohammedans and not the other way around. There is a clear, practical, concrete apprehension to be derived from reasonable inference that says if you think Catholic societies (the West) are morally equivocal with Mohammedan societies (Routinely the most grevious, impoverished, crime-riddled, human rights violating societies on Earth by any objective institute whose business it is to follow such things) then you sir, ma'am, whatever, are simply playing with concepts you simply don't understand but feel into existence for whatever momentary opportunistic preference. Take the exercise of your criticism...It's an expression of offence based on what? Some non-existent grey "non-morality" that everyone practices despite pronouncement to the contrary? I'm all eyes as to what moral foundation you're basing your criticism on, because without a side from which to criticise and thus compare and contrast, you engage in a self-defeating exercise given that even the most relativistic criticism has to come back to an absolute. So by all means...Name the school, the ism, the philosophical entailments that support your apparent right to criticize opposing theologies. Thank you.
Human beings are routinely all very proud of their own religion and culture. Listen to Muslims and they will all be very proud of themselves and their religion (which they say is "most perfect and most beautiful!" Ha!) and you obviously think the same about yours! Ha, Ha! What a joke. People are all very proud of themselves! I will remind you Luke, 6, 41...
TheEmmaLucille, You didn't cite where your original statement follows from. It's not enough to simply say, "Human beings are routinely all very proud...".That's got NOTHING to do with your claim and my request that you name where your claim follows from. So...What is the basis, the school of thought that advises you to be able to claim, morality is relative?
It comes from my own observations (do you have personal ideas or do you need always to cite someone else????) I just have to read comments from Christians (or watch these videos...) as you or comments from Muslims (or others) to say that. And when one knows just a little bit of history, one can say it too: Human beings are all very proud of their "achievements", all of them have the BEST religion and the BEST civilization. They just forget to mention the wars, the murders, the pain they inflicted to others... Yes, morality is relative: usually morality is what peoplpe like you impose to others, while finding excuse to go against their own set of rules when it suits them. "Love your neighbor" said Jesus and Christians (all kind of Christians by the way) add: "...except this, one, this one and this one... " Don't worry, I think the same of Jews and Muslims. All a bunch of HYPOCRITES!
Also I want to add: 150 years ago it was very much "moral2 for a man to rape his wife everyday (it was her duty to provide this to him after all) and/or to own hundred of slaves... He would have go to Church every Sunday without ANY shame! So YES moral is relative to place and time!

Loved his book "Who am I to Judge" I feel more confident in the understanding and application of my faith.
Thank you.
Live as Christian...and if asked explain why... God bless all.

"Defending the Faith"
The issue really is not having to defend the Faith if adherents LIVE THE FAITH.
Sometimes you HAVE to defend the faith

makes sense
I think Revelation 22:11 is a prophetic word for moral relativism
Relativism is partially true at best...
