The last time I saw a performance this wooden, it was the story about a puppet who wanted to be a real boy. You could see this guy's lips moving, saying, "Step, step, step," as he walked. Apparently, the director is channeling Ed Wood. I lasted till 10:59, sprayed the room with Febreze and moved on.
I didn't make it that long!! Old time bar building with roof trusses and nailers then the outside shot shows another story above it supposedly. Seems they went all out to round up the "no talent" crowd.
For me it’s the vocabulary they didn’t watch tombstone or for a few more dollars before getting on set. I’m only 9 minutes in why have they changed the music 5 times just for him to walk out of the saloon and down the road?
3:51 Walks into saloon and exterior shot is the darkest, most overcast day you can imagine. Passes through the swinging doors and BAM...the brightest sunshine you have ever seen is streaming in through the windows.
@@knokname6466 I'm sure your comment is historically accurate, but I was only commenting on the lighting. I said nothing about the carpentry/construction. PEACE!
Metal gussets and plywood may have been around, but they were not commonly available in the old west. I still say they should not be used in western movies. It just makes the film “cheap”.
Noah, it's to great tp see how you evolve into the man you are. I know you will miss your dad in all the firsts without him, but you are surrounded by so many strong people who stand with you.
I loved the silent dialog !!! I was so enwrapped in trying to read their lips !!! What a great new theatrical technique !!! So Clint Eastwood !!! This must have cost a fortune to make!
Just love the scenes where you can see roof trusses with metal gussets at the joints in the ceiling of the bar room today’s construction slipped in there !
I've heard someone there are no bad actors, just bad scripts. That person was wrong. I found it entertaining just to see the prop bloopers. And the comments are even more entertaining.
All the buildings look really old except for the church which looks new and the front door of one store looks new and modern and could do without the loud music Kinda like a spaghetti western

The bar he walks in the roof trusses have metal gusset plating not invented yet at that time and also same bar has a second floor so no need for trusses on first floor
i think one of the horses won best actor of the year at the oscars

Well... at least there were no Baldwins on set....
So...no one died?

You must have missed Stephens cameo.
The comments hereare more entertaining than the film !
Agreed !!!🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂Keeps me nailed to my phone... 02:49 minutes of movie, 21:00 and going minutes of comments.
it's one of those 'can only get better' movies.... that doesn't...
Fabulous scenery, all downhill from there ... still beats watching the news on TV.
I like the modern trusses on the celling of the salon . I saw this as soon as he walked through the door .
That's where you lost me. See ya.
I saw that too plates to nail rafters together, probably not many medal one around in this time period , it's just like just about western had bales of hay when everyone had haystacks ..
Seen them gangnails right away.
Think it's a good movie. Guns & outfits true to time period. I liked it.
Rough town ,while he was in the saloon someone stole his horse. It was tied to the hitching post when he went in and gone when he came out.
Horse theft is punishable by hangin'
@@Bounty_Kxlla1 Which is what oughtta be done with car thieves today.
I like move but the music was so loud that I couldn’t hear what they were saying , I hate the music.
The music was OK, they just didn''t know how to fade it in and out.
Sorry, lost me right off the bat with walking into a saloon in the old west and the ceiling has modern hangers.
Whoever wrote , directed, produced or for any matter had anything to do with this movie If you can even call it that. Should be ashamed of themselves.

Trusses have been used since the 1400s... except not the shiny two-by pattern set on two foot centers in the bar.
@@knokname6466 I'm sure your comment is historically accurate, but I was only commenting on the lighting. I said nothing about the carpentry/construction. PEACE!
Adding to your commentary, not correcting anything. I could have mentioned the bar top being vinyl, I guess...
He's such a badass that dark skies follow him outside😁
LED lighting was invented in 1866
Talk about improper era related set and props. Right off the bat, 4:30 web style rafters and plywood became popular in the US in the 1950's.
Go to the cathedrals in Europe and look at the trusses. Been around a lot longer than 80 years. Look at Amish building, you may be surprised.
I really liked it despite a few flaws. The actor who portrayed John was excellent. No music was also a plus for me. Highly recommended! 😊😊😊
that was rough!
rides into town ties up his horse has a couple of drinks goes outside and his horse was so pissed off it dissapeared
Did you see the size saddle horn on that saddle, it was more like a steering wheel
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And made out of ivory coloured plastic, very very clean.....
At 08:36, where is his horse ?….
Thanks to the comments below, I'll save myself the time. Adios - - and gracias. :)
I noticed the trusses in the bar roof with steel gussets. I didn't know they had those back then.
first thing I saw, kinda ruins things
steel production dates back to 1300BC or even earlier
Oh yah. You'd think plywood is a new thing, too, but it's been around several centuries.
Made in China 200 years ago
Metal gussets and plywood may have been around, but they were not commonly available in the old west. I still say they should not be used in western movies. It just makes the film “cheap”.
The problem is: Actors looking like they just had a shower, their clothes look like they just came out of the wardrobe. Rookie mistakes in a western.
I have to agree with your comments plus the fact it was so boring I stopped viewing after 10 minutes.
Kinda authentic, not enough action for you critics. I suppose once you’ve Hollyweird there’s no going back.

Best dialogue in a western movie in ages! Who did the casting? Did anyone get paid for this?
Different but attractive movie and the cast
"got anything to eat around here"
"Yes I'll fix up some coffee"

I have never seen a saddle horn that big !
It is a mexican saddle.

Gene Wilder should have got the role.
