    This is a very helpful video. May I know if it is possible to enable feature like loop recording? It would be great to set an automated delete feature on the NAS storage say after 3 months, so that the storage will not be overloaded.

    It looks amazing useful. How do you attach these 4 TB HDDs to a cloud NAS? How do you connect and power them? Can you use it as Google Drive and Google photos?

    Hi, can we change the HDD of this PC? If yes, what HDD interface was used? M2 or SATA 2.5"?

    Is there a way of doing that with Xiaomi cameras that don't have the NAS feature?

    Hi, this is a great video for a newbie like me, really appreciate it. Just wonder if you are able to make a video teaching on how to setup a VPN to access our NAS outside the country or away from home.
    Thanks in advance.

    Im planning to install NAS in near future. My question is using mini pc is advantages over NAS diskstation such as Synology ds220j? 2TB + 2TB NAS Hdd is my ideal plan.

    • @DSmartLife
      @DSmartLife  3 роки тому

      You are right, a dedicated NAS from Synology is better if your purpose is only storage. Using Mini PC is for DIY experiments like installing a NAS OS or using the Windows Mini PC for streaming security camera footage etc. or any other function as it is a full fledged computer. Thanks.

    can I set it up with multiple cameras?

    After this setup, if you turn off the mini pc or disconnect the nas, do you have to set it up all over again? Or is it automatically back to normal after the pc on and the nas connected? Thanks

      It should still work, no need to setup again. Thanks.

      @@DSmartLife hey i have a doubt, why is this camera not saving to nas ? is it because im not using an sd card ?

    • @DSmartLife
      @DSmartLife  3 роки тому

      @@RandomGuy-om1vy Yes SD card is mandatory to enable NAS option in the camera. Which camera do you have? Is it the 2K pro? In that case, install an SD card, even small ones are ok. And format the SD card using the Camera and you can setup the NAS. Thanks.

      The BT4 has newer processor X5-Z8500, so I think it's better. You can also consider BMax B1 plus. Thanks.

      @@DSmartLife do you know if the PTZ 2K supports NAS? In your opinion, 2k vs Pro (5g model) is it worth the upgrade? ($30usd difference)

    • @DSmartLife
      @DSmartLife  3 роки тому

      @@weizhengtan6168 That's a lot of price difference. Usually it's not that different. I think the 2K non pro version is also great but I don't have it to test. And yeah, both 2K and 2K pro have NAS feature. Thanks.
