Foot plant is big for me. I am all over the place. So much football and baseball memory in my beat up 60+ year old body. Love the sport and wish I played it when I was young.
i really think ppl are just lazy and thats why they cant throw far bcuz skinny no muscles kids with good form rip em 450ft like watch some damn videos and practice ffs ppl
try ripping this disc FLAT into a 20mph headwind that WILL get the disc up to speed and give it some slight turn and youll see how it could fly just make sure to keep nose slightly down and forward pressure on thumb helps vs downward pressure on thumb etc.,
I'm truly jealous, I played 9 holes yesterday but on some holes I was balls deep in wet snow. Slogging through that stuff 150' from the nearest walkingpath to get to my disc was quite draining.
@Henrik Österberg we have been very lucky and gotten a very mild winter in ontario canada this year. But I feel your pain, hope soon you will have better weather to enjoy the sport.
This is a short and compact driving video that hits all the spots, and what a better add for horizon cloudbreakers ( that are probably way to os for most of us anyways 😂 ) Thanks eagle!
Bunch of n00bs about to drop premiums on a disc they have no business trying to throw. CloudBreakers are mostly wall hangars...because most people will never be able to throw fast enough to reap the benefits.
Looking at your throw in slow motion it is true that you have your wrist straight on the reach back but by the time your disc reaches your right pectoral it is curled, I think this is probably the best way to add the spin and power you generate.
I just did about 3 hours of field work. My reach back timing is lacking. Plus I am not leading with my elbow, losing so much power from it. Can’t wait for my next session to work on those things again.
As much as I love Eagle anyone here looking for improving their distance while still supporting DM should get a S Blend DD3 or specifically any run of Enigma for max distance before they get a Cloudbreaker. Idc if you just want this disc or want to support the player/ DM everyone can buy whatever they want and that’s rad to support disc golf! But specifically for improving distance look to an Enigma, DD3, Emperor, Zeus etc etc before a Cloudbreaker.
Have been watching a massive amount of disc golf videos and especially technique videos in the last few weeks. Today was my second day of throwing and my best throw was 394ft. So close to that 400. Maybe I'll get it next time! I wonder how long it will take me to crack 500ft...
For footwork 1. Front foot perpendicular or slightly away to the target. Stagger the front foot forward from your rear foot creating space. Nothing was said here about timing, the off-arm, or the rear leg. This is not a maximum distance video - this is an introductory video.
I bought a few Rainmakers and my putting has improved dramatically. Sitting in 1st place in putting leagues in the Advanced division with 1 week to go before the final tournament. If Eagle says to throw a Horizon Cloud Breaker for maximum distance, then I might have to bump my Shryke out of the bag lol. I haven't cracked 400' yet but I'm right around the 360'+ range. If I get out and do some consistent fieldwork I think I can break 400' by this summer.
@xzysyndrome lol. I have tried many putters and there are 2 specifically that just don't work for me. The Aviar and the Luna. Perhaps they might be good throwing putter but I don't throw putters at all. And they just don't work for me for putting putters. The ones that really started working for me were the Jawbreaker Roach and Challenger. Then I tried the Fierce and had much success. But the Rainmakers also worked great and I haven't gone back.
@@mawage666 I gave up and just landed on the P2. I threw Judges, Aviars, Wizards, Wardens, Pures, blah blah blah. The P2 approaches from 250 as best as I can manage...and is basically like every other putter I've thrown in C1 and C2. The nice thing about settling into Disc Golf as a non sponsored player...you finally stop buying tons of discs...find what works for you...and as long as you do not yak it into a lake....the cost of the game goes way down.
@@mawage666 Long story short, I suck at putting. All the different molds of putters I have trying to solve the problem...it is only recently that it has occurred to me...I am the problem. Which really devastated my want to blame the putters.
Is Eagle hyzerflipping a horizon CloudBreaker or did I see very very wrong? If that's supposed to be the most os CB then I'm insanly impressed! Nice tutorial for not just long throw, but backhand in particular!
It's person to person but think of holding a pencil. The closer to the tip the more control you have. Further the less. There's an old Discraft video that shows holding closer to the rim gets more distance and control.
I think it would have been worth explaining how important it is to rotate the shoulders during the reach back on those big distance shots. Eagle has great form and really exaggerates this motion and is the perfect example of how to rotate the shoulders. Otherwise great video and I really look forward to testing out the horizon DD3s! My S-lines are getting flippy so these beefier ones will be a great fit right alongside them
@@MegaLaban12345 Theres none within 20km, and i don't have anything to travel with, i drive like 12km with a bike to the course for tournaments and stuff.
I’m also stuck with a soccer field most of the time and I have just resorted to focusing on power shots with mids or powered down fairways. Or good ol putter shots. Getting better and smoother with those has helped a bunch with my distance as a sort of side effect.
Work on yours drives with putters, mids and fairways. Once you get smooth and flawless with those going back to distance drivers will fee like a whole new world for you.
These are the most basic tips ever and definitely not what the title suggests. Seems like the last few videos have just been a big ad for their new discs.
Eagle wont be able to carry Discmania by himself now that simon is gone. He isnt that guy imo and its a lot for a single player. I hope they get him some help and his girlfriend isnt the answer.
I believe in you Eagle, just not your form tips - too much natural instinct, please go analyze your perfect backhand with a sports scientist and then tell us how to ACTUALLY achieve a good throw 💚🧡
Eagle, you repeatedly say to reachback away from your body and then you do the opposite with your throws in the video. Your reachback "tucks" back into your body.
Right? You can follow these tips to the letter...if you can't throw faster than 50mph...it matters not. Maybe you just can't throw 450+...it's okay, it is still a fun game. Nolan Ryan could give a master class on pitching a baseball...would you really expect to come close? lol You have it...or you don't. I don't...but still love the game.
Another classic example of a pro having no clue what they actually do to throw far. Eagle 100% bends his wrist and does not keep it straight. Come on now!
Another boring "marketing" movie. Put random long thrower - or not, and make basic video on the most basic things - and give it a clickbait title. Now with Eagle though.

horizon pd2 next?
Reaching outward instead of straight back 👍

It will happen naturally by having a loose wrist and good timing. The effect will not be the same using the stiff muscles in the arm.
Hell yeah dude! These are awesome tips from a guy who definitely knows what he's doing. Can't wait to try these out in a field.

Great content. So smooth. Thanks for featuring Eagle. We need more teaching like this for disc golf!

Assuming most professionals can throw about 500 feet, Eagle probably threw anywhere from 500 feet to 600 feet maybe even 700 feet
